Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Myles' eyes widened as a Diffindo spell was fired perfectly in his direction. He was confused and dazed for a moment, unsure of just how Hellius was capable of tracking his location through the darkness.

However, as the spell flew in his direction, he stopped and ducked as the spell flew over his head, smirking cockily as he looked back to Hellius who was standing in what looked like an awkward stance. Myles raised his brow, remaining blissfully ignorant to Hellius' dueling abilities and the fundamental rule of the Surla battle structure: keep the first attack as a distraction.

In less than a moment's notice, there was a sharp, tight feeling that wrapped around his ankles and legs, squeezing and latching through his skin like fish hooks. Myles' eyes widened and he leaped in surprise and in pain, and immediately, the dark silhouettes started to pull forcefully at the connections, dragging him twingefully across the ground.

If we see a man glorifying his race, gender, or creed, we can understand there is nothing about himself that deserves glorification.

Squeezing his fist tightly as the dark, shadow fishlines dragged Myles in by his legs, Hellius ground his teeth, his eyes starting to blaze with intense ferocity. He was now considering his cousin to be an obnoxious disgrace, as Hellius was often the example of. In a duel, Myles was nothing-- a pitiless piece of scum that outrageously referred to himself as a Surla. A Surla, they both were, both displaying fundamental qualities, yet lacking fundamental requirements. Hellius lacked obedience and cooperation, repetitively disobeying and disregard orders. Myles lacked any skill in dueling other than his vast spell list.

Pulling Myles into a complete stop in front of him, Hellius dissipated the shadows, relieving Myles with dozens of small, needle-sized holes in his legs. Stomping onto Myles' stomach, his entire body contouring to the weight of his foot, Hellius seethed.

"What the f*ck are you doing, Myles?"

Olivia looked for an opening to take part in the duel, but her services seemed unneeded as Hellius easily manipulated the darkness to drag his cousin before him.

"Remind me to stay on your good side,"
Olive said in bemusement, lighting her wand once more for a proper view of Myles, lying on the ground beneath Hellius' foot. He wasn't unattractive, but the green and silver tie around his neck, along with the helpless position he was currently in, completely counterbalanced any appeal he may have had.

"What the f*ck are you doing, Myles?"

"Running around in the night, hexing innocent people. If you don't mind me asking, what is wrong with you?" Olivia asked the Slytherin, suppressing an urge to aim a kick at his head.

Myles coughed as Hellius slammed his foot into his stomach, contracting the muscles in his legs out of the bleeding stinging that flowed upwards to his hips. Laying on the ground under Hellius' body weight, Myles slowly slithered his hands to Hellius' foot, pushing in vain to relieve himself and allow easier breathing.

"That's... none of your... business, asshole..." Myles replied, looking off to the side at his wand which was just outside of his reach.

Hellius pressed his foot deeper into Myles' abs. Myles looked up at his Gryffindor cousin who was baring his teeth.

Suddenly, Olivia began to truly realize the circumstances. Myles was lying, unarmed, struggling under the unrelenting pressure of Hellius' foot.

"Er- Hellius- that's enough,"
Olivia said quietly.

"You see, you are definitely not in the correct position for witty remarks and testing my patience," Hellius glared, digging his foot deeper into Myles' stomach, twisting and grinding at his cousin's body beneath his pair of Converse. "So I will ask you another question: why the f*ck are you following me?"

Hellius probably already knew the answer. Myles was in Slytherin, as was Tinsley. His cousin could've been following him to gather dirt-- whether it be for his own personal gain, or from the request of a buyer.

He didn't care.

"Not... quite, Olivia."

Hellius knew how much pain that Myles could take. From their personal files within the Surla family database in the base of the foundation, every family member knew every quirk and detail about every physical and mental trait about each other.

It was for this reason that Myles was the most concerned. Hellius could push Myles' pain toleration to the very limit, until he could take no more, and then stop everything... only to start it up again. Hellius could retain an endless cycle of pain, relief, and more pain, and Myles was in no position to stop it.

"I... desired... to witness and obser---" Myles was interrupted as Hellius' heel dug deeper, under his rib rage, resulting in coughing and groaning.

"Witness and obser...?" Hellius continued, seething.

"...observe!" Myles pushed out, struggling to breathe.

"Observe," Hellius pondered, digging his heel further into Myles' ripcage. "Observe what?"

Olivia was beginning to panic. Her mind raced, trying to find a way to peacefully settle this before Hellius did something stupid.

Or worse... the demon takes over.

"Hellius," Olivia said firmly, gently grabbing hold of his elbow, "Stop it. He's not worth it."

Hellius narrowed his eyes, staring upon the struggling form of his cousin below him. Every once in his body wished to inflict as much pain as he possibly could onto the Slytherin, but he knew that was probably exactly what the parasite wanted of him. Anything that was sadistic and horrible- that's all that the demon desired.

"...your... activities," Myles squeezed out, now at his limit for pain toleration.

Hellius was about to push further, to dig further into his cousin's ribcage, but there was a subtle, gentle grasping onto his elbow. He paused, tensing up at the gentle touch, confused for a moment.

""Stop it. He's not worth it."

Is he? He does nothing but cause problems, and issues, and provide pitiful excuses to why the Surla name possesses him in such a demeanor.

Pausing, he thought for a moment: what was there to gain, what was there to lose, what there was there to suffer from? The Surla clan would generally have his head if Hellius injured someone in the family, the parasite wanted his host to inflict as much pain, and he could possibly face consequences in the school for injuring another student.

"...The cons outweigh the pros in this situation, don't they?"

Hellius snarled, pressing off of Myles' stomach as a springboard, stepping over to Myles' wand on the ground. Picking it up and then turning around back to Myles, Hellius looked down upon him with a glimmer of pity.

Olivia sighed, looking at Myles.

"All this just to spy on your cousin? Pitiful. Haven't you heard that curiosity killed the cat?" She smiled deviously, looking to Hellius, who had snatched up Myles' wand.

"Alright,"
she scoffed, "Now you're just being a bully. C'mon, I think if we go now we can make it for pudding," she tried, motioning to the castle.

"Do I want him firing spells at us while we're walking away? No. I'm taking his wand for that purpose and that purpose only," Hellius firmly stated, stepping over Myles' body as he started towards the castle.

"I'm going to give it to a professor. And you're going to help me push the point across, as they would undoubtedly disbelieve me."

Slipping his own wand into his sleeve, Hellius started to spin Myles' wand around in between his fingers, walking steadily back towards the entry hall.

Olivia could see Hellius' logic, although she still felt a pang of pity for the wandless Slytherin.

"I'm going to give it to a professor. And you're going to help me push the point across, as they would undoubtedly disbelieve me." He began to make his was back to the castle.

"Am I? You know, a 'please' would be nice!"
she called after him, staying put for a few moments before following him into the entry hall.

Myles threw his head back in frustration. His legs, now bleeding from dozens of tiny, needle-like puncture wounds, seemed to be incapable of being used. He was in complete pain from the waist down, yet the pain wasn't the factor that struck him the most. Hellius was so easily capable of tracking his movements in the near darkness that it was almost otherworldly. And, at the same time, the magic that Myles' cousin had used was so clearly... abnormal that he was unable to think of anything that could've allowed Hellius to finish him so easily.

Groaning out of frustration, Myles slammed his hands against the dirt, trying to push himself to his feet.

It was in vain.
