Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? His eyes caight sight of a girl, a particular girl. "Hey, Annabella!" he called to her, as Rod made his way over to the armchair where she was sitting. "Are you ok?" he asked kindly. Rodrigo felt so bad at being completely oblivious to her feelings. We've been friends for so long... Rod just hadn't thought about the possiblility, happy in his own little world... Snapping back into reality, Rodrigo perched on the side of the armchair, and placed a hand on her shoulder.

Annabella's shoulder tingled where Rod placed his hand. He followed me! He must really like me! Suddenly, she relized that Rod was still standing there. "Oh, yeah, fine. I just had a headache, the Great Hall was too loud." Annabella hoped her little white lie would distract from the fact that she had totally walked out on him, and - ok - compell him to place his hand on her forehead and make him feel sorry for her.

"So, I mean, do you want to ...?" he asked, with a lot more meaning in his voice this time. Rodrigo hoped so, and he also hoped that Annabella wouldn't walk out again. Biting his lip, he removed his hand, and his mind suddenly flashed to June. Where is she? Rodrigo asked himself. Then he laid eyes on Annabella again. So I'm with this girl, and yet am thinking of another! Rod smiled and looked down at the Hufflepuff. I wonder if she meant what she said. About liking me? He sighed, sometimes things coukld get so complicated!

June came into the commonroom from her dorms, her hair wet, and her clothes slightly clinging to her skin. She laughed to herself, humming a little lullaby. She had just taken a shower, and felt fresh and clean, the feeling she loved most of all. Her head was emptied, as normal, June had spend all the time thinking, and at last managed to clear up her thoughts. Abe, Rod, Jenny... People always made things so difficult. "Oh! Hi Rod!" she beamed, seeing her friend, and ran over to him, kissing him on both his cheeks, just as they normally did when they met. She turned toward the girls shoulder, and her eyes followed upward, "Hi Anna. Didn't see you there. How are you?"

Getting up from the side of the chair he embraced his friend, kissing her on both of the cheeks. Rod was shocked that she has joined so soon after thinking about her, but he pushed that thought to the back of his mind. "Long time no see!" he joked, and waited to see what Annabella's reply would be. She is ok, right? "That was weird" he said to June as she disappeared from sight. Well at least I know she's coming to the feast ... with me! Still doesn't explain why she left so hurriedly though. I wonder if it's anything to do with June... Rod glanced at his friend. No. He couldn't think what was wrong with him or June. Putting it out of his mind, Rodrigo sank into the back of the sofa, relaxing. He sighed, glad that he was out of the hectic hall - and in the peace and quiet of the hufflepuff commons. As soon as June started speaking about his date with the girl, Rodrigo sat forward. "I was being nice. I mean she didn't have anyone to go with..." he started, before realising this wasn't what June expected him to say. "I, uh, well she likes me." he beamed. "And I kind-of, you know..." Rodrgio shrugged, embarrassed. "Like her too." Rodrigo cocked his head in thought. When he actually considered it, Rod realised that he did like Annabella, just he hadn't realised it until recently.

I don't have much on her though, although she is quick to jump into relationships, and a flirt," she smiled, "I wish someone went with me, like, a boy," she stared longingly out into the oblivion, "Like Abe." She whispered the last bit, her voice so low, it was almost unhearable.

"But where were you, Missy - I - need - a -shower?!" Rodrigo winked. It was strangely on a spur of the moment with him and Annabella. Could June be right? Is she a flirt? He hoped not, for everyone's sakes. "Abe?" Rod's eyes searched June's face, could he have misheard? She had spoken very quietly. "Seriously" Rod felt he had to double check, just in case she was pulling his leg or he had misunderstood. Rodrigo didn't think she would joke about something like this though. "Yet you call Anna a flirt!" he smiled. With a quick change in mood, Rodrigo became quite serious. "Why don't you ask him?" he questioned.

Junes face turned a violent shade of pink, and she looked down at her shoes, suddenly very interested in them. "I'm acting like a stupid little girl, but, mm..." She looked up again, "He flirted with me, Rod, Abe Halifax didn't just chose a girl next door, but June Brooks. The baby. The ugly, tiny little June, among all the beautiful girls of hogwarts. I mean, yes, he flirts with almost every girl he sees, but almost everyone is a walking beauty. Could-be Models with problems." She pulled off the edge of her skirt, which was stuck to her skin, "I get crushes on the worst people ever, right?" she pulled her hand through her wet hair, "what if something actually happens, what if he tries to kiss me..." "You shouldn't hope for the worst." he put the extra emphasis on shouldn't, his deep eyes searching June's face. " Because I know you will regret it if you do." his voice sounded concerned, yet also happy at the same time. "I promise you, it will work out" Rodrigo repeated. He almost felt sorry for June, getting herself in this mess. But then, when he thought about it, Rodrigo wasn't sure it was a bad thing either. "Promise" he said the word so quietly that it was barely auudible.

All the talking wasn't helping him to fall asleep. "what's up people.' He stumbled abit and fell forward. He screamed, and held onto the sofa for dear life. 'now, that really woke me up.' He rubbed his eyes to take a better look. ' Hi Rod. Ouh-oh-oh, there you are, June. Isn't it lunch now? And, why did i hear Abe's name appearing? Is he hiding here somewhere?' Turning back to June Rodrigo beamed. "Ditto. And I will, don't worry." Rodrgio considered something for a while, before opening his mouth to speak again. "Just think, by the end of the day we could both, you know." he swivelled his eyes to Mickey, unsure of whether his friend would be comfortable speaking in front of someone she had spoken to so sourly before. "Have a date" Rodrigo said quietly, the words barely escaping his mouth, before he decided to quickly change the subject. "Anyway, what are you going as?" he asked, wondering what she would come up with. Rodrgio had made his mind up at the hall, after a quick suggestion from Annabella - after all, he didn't have that much longer to consider options.

"Well whatever you go as..." he stopped the laughter, and straightened his tie. "I'm sure you'll look fantastic!" They were good ideas - in Rod's opinion, but then he wasn't good at coming up with ideas, so it wasn't fair of him to judge. Perhaps I could change what I go as. A prince does seem un-original. Rodrigo would think of something, and perhaps shock everyone as he entered the hall. I could make it original. He wondered how everyone else decided what they were going as, and whether anyone had yet. He shrugged, and fiddled with a loose bit of string hanging off the sofa, before breaking it off in one swift movement, and watching it fall daintily to the floor.

I might go as some sort of prince or something..." he said eagerly. "But I've not really decided at all yet." he sighed, "The problem is making it my own, you know - not just any old person. I want to be different." Rodrigo was almost shocked at how he badly felt this. Almost. But he was just too excited really, to feel anything else. Especially now that he had someone to go with. Glancing at the stairway which led to the girl's dormitories, Rodrigo pulled a face. He did wonder why she left so abruptly. He sighed, and turned back to June. "Do you like her?" he asked. "I mean, honestly. Do you?" Rodrigo looked at her, with his eyes open wide, wondering what she would say. He knew that June didn't have any dirt on her, but that didn't mean she like Anna. And Rod liked to know these things.
