Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Mitchell walked into the fifth floor corridors. He stopped just outside the door of the Transfiguration classroom. Leaning against the wall, he waited for the professor to arrive, or at least some other students. I seem to be getting to lessons really early recently.

Siging he crossed his arms. Well it is transfiguration. Mitchell grinned, it was one of his favourite lessons. Today is going well, so far. He couldn't wait to get going, Transfiguration never seemed boring, and it always held his attention, unlike other subjects. Wonder what we'll be doing today...

Fera Collis
Fifth Year

Fera came up the stairs, her hand resting on the cold stone rail. Fera was sick of stone, sick of knights and sick of banners. Castle or not, walking up billions of stairs just wasn't fun. Of course, she could levitate herself, but that was a big drain on her energy. With a grumble, once she got up, she slided down the wall, at last crouching down at the floor.

She cupped her hand, and stared into it. With a sigh, she decided to try it once more. Fero, she thought, and nothing came. She looked at her hand, as if it would come if she only stared hard enough. Once more, she attempted it, feeling helpless. Fera hated the feeling of not managing things, she hated not being able. She hated, hated, hated being weak. Once more, she stared at her hand, feeling anger growing inside her, she hissed at her palm, at the veins who pumped magical blood around in her body.

Hiss! The flames sprouted out of nowhere, first a small spark, then a tiny flame. Fera's smirk grew, she was proud of herself. She wasn't useless, she could still manage it. It danced around in her palm, absoarbing the oksygen around it. It was beautiful, thought Fera, and moved her finger downwards, watching the flame embrace her index finger. Lifting it up to her face, she admired it, and herself for managing it.

With regained strength, she lifted herself up, looking over at Mitchell, and then to the stairs. Perhaps it wasn't so bad if she stopped for a small talk, before starting to walk all the way up...

Mitchell turned as he heard footsteps. He turned and realised they had stopped. Huh? That was when he saw it, a small light in the shadows of the corridors. What? He tip-toed closer to it, and realised it wasn't just a light, it was fire.

Ok, how has that come from nowhere? He looked down, and his eyes widened as he saw Fera crouching on the floor. The light was coming from her palm. What? I knew she was a freak, but really?

Edging back to his previous position near the door, Mitchell stayed silent. There was a time for talking and a time for not. He bit his lip, confused by this girl. Freak. He watched as Fera stopped. Then it dawned on him. Doesn't she have divination or something now? I thought that was on the main floor. Hmm.

With a smirk, Fera blew the fire over to Mitchie. Then, she went towards the stairs, walking up them. Each muscle of her body screamed for her not to do so, but she pressed herself, pulling herself up.

Mitchell jumped back as she blew the fire over to him. That's it. He gritted his teeth, and drew out his wand. He quickly dodged the fire, his heart hammering. Fera had taken Mitchell by surprise that he had forgotten what to use. What was the spell? Agement? Agumentee? "Aguamenti" he said as soon as he remembered, a jet of water burst out his wand, quickly putting out the flame. Mitchell didn't like fire, not one bit. It was fine in a fireplace, but anywhere else it just scared him. And that moment had to be the most scared he had felt in years.

He shoved his wand into his pocket, and turned his back on Fera.Fine, she can go all the way up. See if I care. I'm not saying a thing. A fraction of his mind was telling him that it was wrong, and that Mitchell should stop her.

Glancing over his shoulder, Mitchell thought that she did look exhausted. Biting his lip, he wondered what the best thing to do would be. Now he was questioning his beliefs. There is no right and wrong. My decision is to let her continue, I won't stop her.

Mitchell looked up as a ghost flew toward him. Oh great, just what I need. It stopped just in front of him and nodded.

"Hello young Slytherin" he said. Mitchell stared at it, he didn't particularly want to speak. Groaning he leaned, side-on to the wall and looked up at the ghost. "Morning" he muttered.

"Not feeling all well today?" it noted. Mitchell frowned, somewhat amused by this ghost's presence. Hmm? "I...uh" he said, not certain of his words.

"As much as it is a pleasure to talk to you young students, I must be off. Good-day to you, young sir" the ghost continued down the corridor, Mitchell following it with his eyes, until he disappeared round a corner. Feeling lighter, Mitchell smiled, and waited for it to be time for the next class.

June came up the stairs, humming along to a Celestina Warbeck song, which she had heard on the radio. She had never liked Celestina, but she had a habit on getting music stuck in her head, no matter what. With a small click, her small, low heels stopped, and she looked on the figure talking to a ghost.

"You must be bored, ghosts are the most dull people, or remains, ever." She giggled, suddenly turning her face into a expressionless, stonehard face, "Thy childs of this age, have no piorities. All cosuming, and the music..." She broke into laughter, her face once more filled with smiles.

Mitchell sighed as a figure came up behind him. "What do you wa-" he growled as he turned around. Coming face to face with June, the girl whom he had met the previous evening he immediately stopped the sentence. "Oh, it's you" he said unenthusiastically. "Hello" Mitchell forced a smile.

Soon June was laughing at some joke she had thought up. Mitchell, however, didn't join her in the laughter, despite feeling lighter than before. He was still annoyed at Fera for the fire incident. Move on. Mitchell decided to do just that, after all he was about to go into Transfiguration, and it was his favourite lesson - along with potions. Just in a different way.

Drawing a deep breath, Mitchell attempted to look into June's eyes. "I, am sorry" he said genuinely, his voice filled with emotion. This took a great effort for him, to change his anger so quickly, but he hoped with practice it would improve. Clasping his hands together with unease, Mitchell bit his lip.

June stopped, feeling uncomfortable. She had thought Mitchie liked her... She shook it off, people didn't hate her... Did they? She blinked, looking down. They run from you. In a fraction of a seconds going from happy to sad. "It's okay, I was never a good imitator..." She looked at him, trying to figure him out. With summoned courage, she went towards him. "You look sad?" Her voice was calm, sincere. Stretching out her hand, she stroked him on the chin, as if they were the deepest of friends, and had known eachother forever. "What happened?"

Her eyes were soft, and her hands quickly flew to her back, and she captured them, entwining her fingers together.

Mitchell gulped as June touched his chin, he jerked his head back a fraction of a centimetre, before stopping himself. It wasn't as if he was enemies with this girl or anything, but then again, when he considered it - they weren't exactly friends either. I haven't been that nice to her anyway... Have I? Then Mitchell remembered the previous evening. Oh, yeah...

Sighing, Mitchell wondered if it would be so bad to be friends with people outside of Slytherin, but when he thought about it that didn't seem like such a good idea. Tinsley's face flashed across his mind as a brief reminder, and he quickly shook the idea out of his head.

Turning his gaze back to June, Mitchell wondered what to say. He didn't have an explanation, really. Licking his lips, Mitchell started to speak. "Things caught up with me, is all." he said simply, waving his right hand as if it was nothing. But it's not though is it? It's bigger than that.

You need to sort yourself out, man.

June rolled her eyes, sighed, "Oh god, you don't have to be all jerkerin. There's noone here, cept for you, me and Boris. It's not like I'm infected or anything," June was dissapointed, not only was he lying to her, June knew there was something more, he was also insulting her, his hand movement just made her sick. It wasn't like she was some disposable fun item. A toy, something to laugh with at the moment.

"You're only ruining for yourself, you know. If you keep shutting everything inside you, you'll go crazy like Charmichael or even worse, Surla." She clenched a fist, "Just let it out, if not for the people you are with, then for yourself. Besides, if you didn't want to say it, you could just have said so." For a second, June felt like laughing at herself. She was so mad at him, and still she tried to help. June was too curious, and too helpful for her own good, of course, it seemed pretty obvious to her that Hogwarts pretty much needed someone like her. Oh well.

Mitchell took a step away from June, he did not expect this kind of reaction from her. All he had seen was this little happy, bubbly girl. And now? Well she seemed so different. It has shocked him, to say the least.

"I am sorry." Mitchell paused, unsure whether to continue. You don't have to say anything to her. Nothing at all. Despite this, something about June made him trust her, and she didn't seem the type to throw it all over the school. Sighing, Mitchell continued. "Perhaps you are right, it does do people good to ... let it all out every now and then."

Mitchell grimaced and stared at the ground. He wasn't really comfortable talking about himself so honestly. He didn't want to spill everything to June, but he didn't want her to stay mad at him either. Deciding it was probably best to be honest, after all she had sensed he was lying before, Mitchell drew breath and looked June in the eyes.

"It's just so frustrating sometimes you know, with everything. People, family, yeah. I just get so worked up about it. The smallest things - and BAM! I'm out of it..." Pausing for a seconds thought, Mitchell's heart was racing. "I mean, I'm trying to change - be more pleasant. Sometimes it's just so hard."

Now Mitchell had decided that was enough. "Look, I'm sorry, okay. Can you just accept that and move on?"

Hypocrite.

Mitchell looked earnestly at June, his hands shaking.

June sighed, and listened to him, "Oh..." She wrinkled her nose, wondering, "I thought... I thought you were... You know, being all rude because I was a hufflepuff, and..." She felt so stupid at the moment, "And my day hasn't been the best either, I try to please everyone, and end up watching me be alone. In the end, it seems like you can only trust yourself, or the most unlikely." Her mind drifted off to Abe, although he was probably more interested in the fact she was a girl, than the fact she was... Herself.

"I think to much, I think..."

Mitchell shrugged. Hufflepuffs are a waste of space, I can see where she got her idea from. He quickly flashed June a small smile "You're not so bad for a Hufflepuff..." he stated.

Mitchell nodded to what she said next. "Yes I know what you mean..." Trusting the unlikely. He felt a sort of bond developing between himself and June, but Mitchell wasn't too sure how long it would last.

Mitchell, feeling rather exasperated after all this talking, shoved his hands deep into his pockets. "Well all have bad days..." Some more so than others!

In an effort to change the subject, Mitchell waved his hands in the air. "Anyway, erm... How was your previous lesson?" he asked. Evaluating his own lesson in his mind as he spoke, Mitchell felt a lot more calm as his mind drifted to his success, as oppose to everything else.

June decided to ignore his first comment, "My previous lesson? Sneckenberg was nice, and bought along cupcakes, I made a good potion, and my sister completely ignored me." She sighed, "Why do we always have to complicate things... I just want to..." she smiled, "be happy. Love life, but people keep making it so hard."

OOC; Someone just godmode her around while I'm gone? :D

Mitchell took a step back from June as she said this. "Sneckenberg... Nice?" he couldn't believe it. She must be lying. Mitchell looked at the Hufflepuff in disbelief. "Well, whatever you say..." he said sarcastically, rolling his eyes as he did so.

Shrugging to himself, Mitchell decided it was about time to go into Transfiguration now. Turning on his heel, Mitchell walked into the classroom.

June shrugged, it did seem pretty unbelieveable that the potions master was nice. With that, she entered the classroom, right behind Mitchell.
