| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Fera nodded, "Ah," She leant backwards, looking up at the ceiling. The muscles in her neck ached, but Fera only closed her eyes. "None, to nice, to not-so-nice..." The words were like music, thought Fera, the repeation of n's made it seem like poetry, and, n's were Fera's favourite letter. She always enjoyed making them, the very movement a bliss in itself. With a small smirk, she looked forward, attempting to look him in the eye. "Remembering a nightmare," she smiled, her voice more calm, more soft than it used to, "it helps to keep your mind primitive, concentrate on the lesser things. Because in the end, nightmares only make you scared, and actions done under fear are often those we most regret. Allow not your dreams to haunt you, and then you allow not your actions to do so either." Her voice retorted to the normal one during her little monologe, strict, harsh and strongly accented. Slytherins are known to be cunning, but from what I have seen, slytherins are driven by their fears. The fear of not having your mark on earth, the fear of being alone, and the fear of not being accepted. Humane, normal fears, from under which we all suffer. Fera knew those fears well, neither she enjoyed being alone, but it was neccesary, neither she enjoyed the thought of dying, not leaving anything behind, and neither she enjoyed being pressed out of the society, although it was driven on lies and rotten morals. Leaning her heavy head in her hands, Fera sighed, wondering why life never was easy. Was it so hard to tolerate differences, and to overcome our fears of the unknown. Was it impossible, unnatural to build a bridge, and lend out a hand to those who suffered? So little was needed, she thought, but we are too settled in our ways, to obsessed with our miserablity, to be willing to change ourselves. Change is good, we say, but inside us, we whisper, as long as it does not involve me. Fera looked up, staring at Mitchell, wondering if even he carried the same thoughts. |

Mitchell turned to face Fera again. Rubbing the back of his neck uneasily, he grimaced. "Err, thanks. I think" he frowned, seeminly deep in thought. Well that was inspirational. Biting his lip, Mitchell considered the possibility that - perhaps - there was something of a slytherin in everyone. She doesn't seem like your average gryffindor girl. There was something about Fera which intrigued Mitchell, for better or for worse. I don't know how far you would push it though. Returning his mind to the little speech that this girl had just given him, Mitchell wondered if there was some truth in it, if not more than he could imagine, or wanted to think. Part of his mind was telling Mitchell to ignore this girl, to come out with some witty remark and then things could go back to the way they were. But yet, there was something else. A hint of fascination filled Mitchell with wonder, he looked at Fera, and couldn't help but think that she was right, because underneath it all, he knew. |

Fera gripped her quill, her hand a shivering ash leave, blowing in the wind. Ink splots dotted her words as she wrote, her swirly, cursive handwriting leaving its print on the parchment. With a distant look on her face, she wrote down notes from class. The language was like that of a distant time, a time of glory, in her mind. She looked over at Mitchell, her brown, almost orange eye searcing for a sign of emotion. She lifted her quill of the paper, leaning the tip towards her mangled lips. The skin on half of it was mangled, the red colour blurred into the pale skin. Mitchell seemed fascinated, with her, perhaps? Fera wondered if her words had been wise, or well-said. She couldn't be called dumb, she was certain of that, but she wasn't any genius. Perhaps she was just more developed, more mature than the others of her age. She doubted it, she was a normal, if one could call Fera normal, teenage girl. Just with another veiw of what is important in life. "Do you believe in right and wrong?" |

Mitchell drew breath, contemplating the thought. Do I? Under normal circumstances, Mitchell would have been very sure of his answer, but things seemed to be rapidly changing. And after all, having a conversation with a gryffindor wasn't exactly normal for Mitchell. "It depends" he shrugged. "Sometimes I would say yes, but other times, well definitely not. Generally not really, a person chooses what they do, or that decision is made for them. They will have to live with the consequences, which is why you must choose wisely." Somewhat shocked at his response to Fera's question, Mitchell had baffled himself. Is that what I truly believe? Biting his lip, he had decided. Yes. |

Fera nodded, "Yes, everyone has their own veiws on wrong and right. I believe, that aslong as I do not directly harm anyone, and as long I work for the benefit of others, I am doing the right thing." She looked at him, pleased with his answer. He is not lying, although he does not seem comfortable with telling the truth. Perhaps lying has become a habit of his, perhaps he does not like being confronted with questions that question his very beliefs. For when you no longer have that rock to fall apon, you feel empty, unwhole. Fera's mind drifted away, and she remembered a event at the hospital. Flames rised up, spinning up her ancles. In her hand, she held a small crucifix, adorned with a small jesus hanging from it. Her hand was sweating, the metal turning into a kobber colour. She closed her eyes, and looked up at the starlighted skies. They twinkled towards her, as if nothing was wrong, and the world was great. From her hand slipped the crucifix, and it fell towards the flames. She looked down, watching as the metal melted in the heat. I am sorry, she thought, I am no longer able to believe. Her head hung low, "But were goes the line? Is it right to kill one, to save many?" |

Sister Evelyn glanced at the clock and saw that the bell would ring shortly. "Well, time is almost up, but I can't allow you to leave without some form of academic evaluation!" She paused for the chorus of groans. "For next class please, I would like a small paper written… approximately one foot of parchment, on the differences between a Metamorphmagus, transfiguration, and those who use glamour and body modification charms. If you would like to extra sources for your paper, or more ways to practise and perfect body and beauty modification, our library has some great resources. I would suggest trying Glamour Secrets by Gilderoy Lockhart or Practical Beauty Magic by Gulch, Zamira." "Now if there aren't any more questions,… No? Alright, class dismissed. Remember, I am available anytime during my office hours. Have a wonderful day!". || OOC: Papers maximum 250 words aka - one page, double spaced! I will award house points for those who choose to participate (maximum 20 points). 10 points to Fera, Mitchell, Sawyer, and Margo for excellent class participation!! || |

Mitchell shrugged at Fera's question, she had really made him think. Yawning, he turned his head to the front as the sister set them an assignment. One foot isn't so bad. But it's still work. He emitted a small groan, but it was less so than usual. Funnily enough, Mitchell had enjoyed this lesson. He flashed a small smile at Fera, before he turned his back on her. Gathering up his things, and putting them - carefully - into his rucksack, Mitchell's mind was adrift with questions. He decided he would look further into them, and decide what he truly believed. Once the sister dismissed them, Mitchell stood up. He nodded to Fera. "See you around" Mitchell's voice was softer than usual, and this took him by surprise. But will I? Shrugging, he walked out of the charms classroom, heading toward Transfiguration. |

With a smile, not a smirk, Fera nodded, "Of course," She looked over at the sister, Yeah, right, I'll never read a book on cosmetic changes. With a sigh, she collected her things, and spendt a good amount of time trying to put back on the lid of her ink bottle, her eyes drifted around, at last settling on the rays on sunshine coming in from the windows. She stroked off the remaininng ink on her skirt, plotting out what to write. She needed to pass some classes, and she was pretty certain on which she wanted to pass. With a sad smile in her eyes, Fera pondered on what she would become when she grew up.Perhaps I could be a auror? Fera laughed inside of her, what person with their mind in the right place would hire her, a monster who tried to hard. Cursed with a blessing, she thought, raising herself up. Fera left the classroom. |

Margo listened as Sister assisnged homework and dismissed the class. Maybe Lucy doesn't want to talk after all. Oh well, plenty of time later. And with that, Margo left the classroom. |

OOC. I am so sorry I just stopped posting! ![]() BIC. Lucy stood, after having a mildly successful time at changing Ella's apperance, but staying away from the transparent things. It was just creepy. She smiled at Ella and waved a small bye at the quite nice Slytherin, before running to catch up with Margo, and leaving the classroom, having to tell her the big news. |
