Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Fifth Year Charms - Day Two; Period One, Gryffindor and Slytherin

Sister Evelyn walked happily into her charms classroom. She was in a good mood and excited to start teaching. She loved children, but she had to remember to think of her students as young and emerging adults. Humming cheerfully, Sister Evelyn started drawing complicated and elaborate drawings on the board of intricate wand movements.

Sister Evelyn glanced up at the clock… the bell had rung a few minutes prior to class starting, she thought that she would be late. Sister Evelyn looked at the few students, obviously the keeners sitting in their seats.

"This won't do." She said disappointed and tapped her foot impatiently.

Mitchell traipsed into the charms classroom. As soon as he entered, Mitchell realised that he was the one of the first students in the room. Perhaps I came here a bit too early? He lingered by the doorway, wondering whether to take a seat yet. It would look awful if I leave now though...

He glanced at the professor and bit his lip. She's surely seen me by now. Sighing, he made his way toward the second row, and took a seat at the far left of the classroom.

Mitchell quickly sorted the things he needed from his rucksack, and onto the table. Once finished, he looked at the board and frowned slightly. Charms wasn't his strongest subject, and what was on the board didn't look too simple. But it wasn't his weakest lesson either. I'll cope. It's probably easier than it looks.

Mitchell continued to stare at the board, placing one elbow on the table whilst he did so, and putting his head in that hand.

Lucy, having no where else to go, pretty much skipped into the classroom, having caught Teddy's shout that he'd meet her. Now she was completely in her own world as she found a seat, singing, "Hey, Sister!" to the professor infront of her. She didn't care that she had Charms with the Slytherins, she didn't care that she wasn't very good at this lesson. She was too busy planning the night ahead.

That was, until her eyes landed on Mitchell. That was his name, right? Whatever, he was the Potions Boy. She was forced back to the present with a bang, as she dropped her textbook on the table in front of her. She found herself glaring at him, not forgetting his argument with Summer, where he had been utterly childish and petty. She rolled her eyes, and sat, with a flump.

Mitchell glanced at Lucy as she sat down. He groaned, realizing that he had forgotten that this lesson was with the Gryffindors. Here's hoping I'm not surrounded by them then. He was determined to not get into any fights, or arguments for that matter. Had enough of those.

Catching sight of Lucy glaring at him, he frowned at her, but turned his head away quickly - hoping that she wouldn't have noticed. No fighting. You don't want to lose any points. Or make the detention last longer.

Mitchell gulped and flashed the girl a small smile. "Hello" he said. Biting his lip, Mitchell sat uneasily, unsure what Lucy would make of him being nice. Especially after potions. No! Forget that lesson... forget.

Lucy blinked. When Mitch opened his mouth, Lucy expected him to say some spiteful remark about openly staring at him. But his civil 'hello' made Lucy glance twice. Okay, this could each be good, or bad. So tread carefully.

"Hello," Lucy said, cautiously. The first time she'd met Mitchell properly, he acted something like this. Then the time after, he'd just offended her. What was with this boy and his moodswings? "So, you excited about the Triwizard Tournement? You put your name in?"

Good subject. This way, he can boast, and you can be quiet and not dig yourself into a hole.

Mitchell raised his eyebrows for a fraction of a second, before shrugging. "I guess. I mean not all that much, but whatever" he said simply. "Yes. I did put my name in."

Why wouldn't you? He opened his mouth to say something along the lines of 'Lucy being a wimp and probably not entering', but he decided against it and quickly snapped his jaw shut. Breathing heavily Mitchell glanced at the professor for a brief second, before turning back to Lucy.

"How about you?" he asked, politely. I still doubt it. She doesn't seem to have the makings of a champion.

Lucy raised an eyebrow and laughed slightly. "Oh, definatly not. I can't think on my feet quick enough. And I'd just be rubbish and die." Lucy paused, laughing it off. But my friend, Margo, entered, and if she gets it I'm goin got be the brain behind her brawn. Even though she's not really strong."

There was a small awkward silence, where Lucy looked at the professor, showing off that her and a Slytherin were talking without throttling each other. But it'll all go back to normal when Mitchell's other Slytherin friends come in.

Mitchell gasped slightly. Margo? He was sure he had heard that name somewhere before. Of course! She was one of the girls from the student lounge last night. Mitchell remembered the one-eyed girl asking her name as he walked out. Typical.

Finding himself seething with anger, Mitchell quickly wiped the memory from his mind. Smile, just smile. He flashed Lucy a smile and even laughed a little. "I'm sure you wouldn't die..."

But then again. She is a Gryffindor.

Lucy bit her lip as she watched anger flash over Mitchell's face. Then, as soon as it had come, it was gone.
Lucy breathed a small sigh of relief, glad he hadn't lashed out at her.

As she went to reply, she felt she was in an abusive relationship or something. She was worried out getting hurt, but kept going back to him, seeking his approval. Lucy snorted the thought away and replied to Mitchell, forcing her laughter back.

"I think the only reason I wouldn't die is that Belleford wouldn't allow it." She shook her head, a small smile on her face. "Honestly, I really don't think I'm brave enough to be in Gryffindor. I should be in Hufflepuff or something." Lucy sighed, more loudly this time, as she had a flash back of the Sorting Hat way back on the first day. "Well, I guess the Sorting Hat knows best."

Mitchell couldn't help but smirk. Hufflepuff? She wants to go to the lowest of the low? He shrugged. "Each to their own, I guess" Mitchell muttered. But really? Hufflepuff!

His thoughts sidetracked to last nights conversation with that Hufflepuff in the dungeon. June Brooks. Hmm. She wasn't so bad, I suppose. Mitchell flinched, he had caught himself off guard. How could I be thinking that?

He gulped and felt his face flushing. Sure enough, he went a light pink. Turning away from Lucy in embarrassment, Mitchell could only hope she wouldn't think he was strange.

Not that I care anyway...

DUNK! A small ouch came from Fera, who managed to miss the door. She took a step behind, before once more trying, now rubbing her sore nose, "I hate doors..." Her sight was fuzzy, she was still dizzy, and she couldn't make out much of what was happening infront of her. "Hullo," she said, blinking twice before she sat down beside one of the fuzzes.

She sighed, squinting to see what was written on the board. Drawings, she thought, Complex wand stuff. Shit... She groaned.

Mitchell turned around to see who had spoken. His eyes locked on Fera who was rubbing her nose. He gritted his teeth and looked away. No! Why should I? Leaning on the back of his chair he stared at the one-eyed girl.

"Looking forward to detention?" Mitchell's lip curled as he asked the question. The all too familiar smirk was spread across his face. Seemed like it last night. Can't think why. He shrugged, and looked at Fera, waiting for her response.

Fera tilted her head, squinting to see who it was. The voice wasn... Bah! Fera suddenly had a urge to slam her head into the desk, of all people to sit behind... And she couldn't move either, "Better than going to a feast thing... Why am I talking to you, anyway?" The fuzz started to clear up, but she still couldn't see him. "I don't like you..." She wrinkled her nose.

Mitchell frowned. "Likewise" he sneered, his voice dropping back to its normal arrogant tone. With a quick glance at Lucy, Mitchell slammed the front legs of his seat down on the floor.

With a light 'hmph' Mitchell placed his arms on the table, and his head on them. Calm. Be calm. He yawned and closed his eyes for a second, before snapping them open again. Mitchell stared into space wondering whether the conversation would continue, or not.

Lucy hid a laugh and someone walked into the door. She looked round to see who it was, then nodded slowly. Fera. How could she not know the strange one-eyed girl. Lucy greeted her politely, then turned back to the board, trying to take in the information upon it, and if that didn't hold her attention, think of Teddy.

But her eyes kept flickering over to where Fera had sat behind Mitch. So Lucy was a people-watcher. And she would just watch the pair argue with a small smile on her face, not doing anything about it. But instead of doing what she would normally do, Lucy decided to throw herself back into the conversation, and now having another Gryffindor to back her up, Lucy felt braver to touch on other subjects.

"Why do you have detention...? I'm quite looking forward to the feast, I'd be upset to miss it." Lucy's thoughts came tumbling out, but she stopped before she talked about Teddy. She wanted Olive and Margo to be the first to know.

"I threatened the slytherin,- Fera nodded forward, - and he attacked me, no big deal..." For a second, she looked into the air, and returned her attention to Lucy, "Feasts are loud, noisy, smelly and warm." She looked at her feet, and added, "Besides, I end up being a ugly decoration anyway. A laughing stock for the first years."

Mitchell licked his lips and lifted his head. "No biggie" he shrugged. Could have been worse. On her part anyway. Mitchell took a deep breath.

I thought you were changing, Mitchell. A small part of his brain squealed to him. I thought...

Mitchell sighed. "Sorry about that" he mumbled. "Again" he smiled - genuinely. Mitchell shook his head, and yet again, tried to forget about the previous day.

"I'm not a fan of feasts either..." Sitting alone at the table, becoming more annoyed with every person that enters the room... "Definitely not."

Lucy nodded as Fera explained what happened, and made no comment. She felt a pang of sympathy towards Fera as she replied to her remark about the feast. Lucy had never outwardly been mean to Fera, but she'd always thought she was weird and never made an effort to speak to her.

Lucy quickly pushed that away, and shrugged as as Mitchell spoke, and said, "I don't really see the difference between feasts and normal mealtimes. Apart from the food." Lucy smiled, showing her small teeth.

Mitchell frowned. "Same difference" he shrugged. "But whatever." he said quickly, in an effort to move the conversation forward. I'm not disappointed about missing the feast. It will just be annoying to have to find out from someone who the champions are...

Sighing, Mitchell turned his head toward the doorway. He willed someone else to walk in to the classroom, preferably a Slytherin - he was getting to 'buddy buddy' with the Gryffindors for his liking. When no-one did, Mitchell turned back around, rolling his eyes and clenching his jaw.

Fera though, hadn't heard a word of what was going on. She was obsessed with a single thought, a thought that scared the hell out of her. I'm similar to the git. She felt dizzier, I'm similar to a arrogant, unsympathetic git. It made her feel disgusted. She wanted to rip off her skin, to slam her head into the desk, to bathe in boiling water... Anything to get the similarity away. She wasn't selfcentered, was she? She was brave. Overly so. She would have risked anything to save another... But still...

I'm not a arrogant person who always puts myself infront of everything? Right? She thought over it, No. I'm a arrogant persons who always throws myself infront of everything. With a sigh, she realised that she couldn't tell what was worse.
