Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Fifth Year. This year, Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event, The Triwizard Tournament! However, these are dark times we live in, for the Dark Lord Azariah Amaranth has escaped the bonds which have kept him in Ministry custody, and has destroyed the Ministry in the plain sight of several muggles, effectively placing the Wizarding World under martial law and placing our very way of life in jeopardy. Strict curfews have been placed on all citizens, and now that school has started, no one--not students or staff--are allowed in or out of Hogwarts until further notice. So cancel any trips out you might have, because all students and staff must remain in, and everyone else must stay out. Now the Dark Lord is in preparation to topple the stability of both worlds and all races; to deal the final, shattering blow to the current world order. Why all this madness; this destruction and anarchy? Just what is Amaranth's ultimate goal? The first task has now ended. Christmas is here and we all know what that means: The Yule Ball will commence tonight. If your character is planning on attending and doesn't already have a date, be sure to snag one before all the good ones are gone! Today (Day 5) is Christmas day, so there is no class. We will have morning festivities before moving to lunch and freetime, which will then lead us to the night of the ball. You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. In order to increase voting to keep our site on top, the Administrative team at HIRP has decided to begin giving House Point awards for voting. Please vote once a day at the links at the top of our forums. Then post here saying you've voted. I would like to think that if you'd take the time to put it down here that you've voted, you'll take the extra minute it will take to click the four links at the top to earn the FOUR POINTS A DAY you'll get for your house. Not only will you be keeping your house in the running for the annual House Cup, but you will help keep out site at the top of topsites lists and hopefully attract even more members. Please post everyday after you've voted, preferably with what day it is you voted so we don't get confused. (Note that if the number of votes we have, and the number of people who claim to vote don't match up, we'll know somethings up). Admins, if you please, at the end of the day (every 24 hours) would someone please tally up the number of points earned, add them to the top of the page, and delete that day's posts so one gets confused? Note to anyone who decides to actually tally these votes when I'm not around to do it (not likely): however many topsite links we have, give each person one point per link, so that's one point earned per vote.

This one is pretty big and has RPs of all kinds, so we're not just competing against other HP sites here. Let's see how we can stack up compared to all kinds. (This of course means that a post here is worth 4 points a day starting today--the 21st)
