Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Mickey walked down the quiet hallway, which led him to the huge peaceful green fields that surrounded most areas in Hogwarts. The sky was brightly lit by the moon and stars. The breeze was gently touching every single inch of skin exposed, it made Mickey felt somewhat safe and happy. No crimes, no murders, a wonderful world it is here in Hogwarts.

He sat on the swing near the old oak tree, swinging slowly and lightly. The fun thing about the swing is that you get to rock all the bad feelings and negative emotions out of you. He allowed the wind to mess up his hair, he allowed himself to stop trying. Trying to make world a better place when his is in a complete chaos. Trying to make everyone feel great about themselves when he is just a nobody. Trying to ignore what his heart had been telling him.

'Nani shiteru denwa goshide itoshii koe ga hibiku....' he started singing. It got even louder when he reached the chorus 'Aishiteru aishiteru chippokena boku dakedo Kimiwo ushinai takunaiyo...' he went on and on, thinking about the girl he had been eyeing, the girl who thought nothing about him. Tears ran down his cheeks so silently, he didn't noticed. He felt no warmth from it, he kept on rocking on the swing, he kept on singing.

PS: that's a japanese love song. and its real nice.

Summer skipped out of the castle, relieved to be outside. The Great Hall had been crowded and stuffy, so all she wanted now was to get some fresh air. It was a crisp autumn day and Summer could feel the harsh wind slapping against her face. The breeze was messing up her dark hair and she stretched her arms out in front of her as she stumbled down the hill and towards the large oak tree.

Summer leaned her back against the old tree, scratching her head as she looked out onto the lake. It looked so peaceful and so deep.. The waves went on and on forever, disappearing into the horizon. She stared at it for a moment and then sighed, gently closing her eyes and yawned. She didn't know why, but something about the lake was making her feel strange. She felt sorrow arise inside of her and she didn't even know why.

Well, beauty is sorrow after all..

"Nani shiteru denwa goshide itoshii koe ga hibiku...."

Summer jumped and her eyes flickered open, the abrupt but beautiful voice startling her. She looked around for the person who was singing and spotted a Hufflepuff boy who looked vaguely familiar sitting down on the swings and singing in Japanese. Tears were gently falling down his face and Summer bit her lower lip. She waited for a break in the boy's singing before speaking to him.

"Oh, um hi. Wow.. that was beautiful," commented Summer, not exactly knowing how to respond to the boy's sorrow. She swallowed anxiously, standing up and walking over to the swing, a weak smile appearing on her face.

"Well, I mean I wouldn't know. I don't know Japanese.." she chuckled, rolling her eyes at her own stupidity. "But, it was still nice," she added with a nod, her smile turning into a grin.

"I'm Summer," she finally said, extending a hand to the boy. "I don't think I've seen you around before. Are you new?" she inquired, looking quizzically at him.
Like a bird with broken wings, it's not how high he flies but the song he sings.

"Oh, um hi. Wow.. that was beautiful,"

Mickey twisted his head in every direction in search for that voice. His eyes met with a female Gryffindor's. She understood Japanese? That's weird. He didn't expect anyone here to understand Japanese.

"Well, I mean I wouldn't know. I don't know Japanese.." she chuckled. "But, it was still nice,".

Okay, so meant the singing part. Mickey tried to a smile on his face but can't help thinking that his face is wet. After realising that he was crying infront of a stranger, and a female, he turned his face around and wiped away his tears angrily, leaving his face with pinkish marks. He can't be anymore embrassed, he thought. He was supposed to be a happy boy, not someone like he is now. 'What?' he said, behaving and sounding like a small boy who had just lost his sweets.

"I'm Summer,"
Oh! Here to introduce herself? Can't she choose a better time?

"I don't think I've seen you around before. Are you new?"
Do i look like a kid to you? He thought. But he remembered, he have to be polite.

"Mickey Nathanial," he stretched his hand out to shake hands with her. Trying his best to sound normal "and no, i'm a fifth year. You wouldn't have known me. I'm just a lousy Hufflepuff." He smiled weakly. "Not that my other Hufflepuffs mates are, they're great, really." Now trying to be convincing enough. "I'm only an exceptional." He kept his head low throughout their talk. He didn't know what she would think about him, a fifteen year old, crying here all alone. If it was something bad, he would just leave right away. Another crying session is not what he needed most at this moment.

Summer's mouth hung slightly open as she watched Mickey speak. She scratched her head and said, "Oh, err alright. I just meant that I haven't seen you around before.. I didn't think that you were a first year or something..." her voice trailed off and she didn't know what to say next. She could tell that he was making an effort to be polite and frowned at that.

I'm not stupid..

"Well, I just thought I'd say something since we're both in the same year and we'll probably meet again soon," Summer finally concluded, her eyes narrowed as she looked at his tear-stained face. "But umm, I guess this isn't a good time."

Summer frowned and crossed her arms. "Look, if you want me to leave you could just say so. I'm not dumb, I can take a hint." Summer raised her eyebrows and stared at him, her green eyes turning pale by the second. "Well, it was nice meeting you. See you around." She gave Mickey a small smile and then turned on her heels.

"Wait.." Before she had even made one step, Summer turned back around. "By the way, you shouldn't think so lowly of yourself. I bet you're not as lousy as you think," she declared, her tone dull and impassive. "But then again, I hardly even know you," she sighed, biting her bottom lip and examining Mickey carefully.

And then, she turned back around and made her way back to the castle.

Mickey looked as she leave. He wanted to stop her, wanted to speak to her and perhaps even make friends with her. The last thing he wanted to do was to let her think that he didn't want her around.

He felt comfort when she said that he should think too lowly of himself. Mickey smiled to himself while he made his way back into the castle, walking closely behind Summer. The sky was getting dark.

Mickey then came to realise that he indeed might have something to offer. To his friends, his house and maybe the school. A little more confident he became, after the 'talk' with Summer. He wished it could last longer though. Mickey captured every movement made by Summer, and planned to surprise her one day. He reminded himself to be the one who will walk up to her and say hello the next time he sees her.
