| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Tristan roared with laughter for the first time in weeks as Hellius took a shot at the pink-haired Slytherin. He knew her by reputation only; the girl was a total, first class, grade-A bitch! Even Tinsley Carmichael had redeeming qualities but this one was only ever out for herself and no one else. And her use of the 'C-bomb' only succeeded in disgusting him further - Tristan hated that word! His heart sank a little as a friendly looking girl with a Hufflepuff emblem approached their group and started chatting to Emma. The toipic of the World Cup was obviously a sore spot for them all but he felt bad for her as Em flipped her off, causing the girl to storm off in anger. That was quite unlike Em to act like that and he wondered whether she was more upset than he originally thought. Or perhaps Hellius' influence over her was greater than hers over him. He bit his tongue though and remained silent, hoping it was just a one off and that she'd apologise to her later. His prefect badge was pinned to his chest, which had gotten even broader over the summer. He was well and truly in the middle of a growth spurt and though he was only 15, he had the shoulders of a man much older. It had actually slipped his mind though that as prefect he could take points off of students. It would certainly come in handy for keeping the Slytherins in line. When Hellius had taken 5 points from Slytherin it had reminded him. Without realising he was adjusting his badge to sit straighter on his robes. It was one of very few good points in the remainder of the school holidays. His parents had been incredibly proud and bought him the latest Nimbus model as a reward - the Nimbus 2009. It was with his trunk and he couldn't wait to get on the Quidditch Pitch and thrash Addie's team with it. He laughed at the thought, kissing her atop the head as if to apologise for thinking such mean things. "How many times do you think you'll have to do that this year mate?" he joked, directing the question to Hellius. It often made him smile when he thought how relationships could change over the years. In the first few eyars at Hogwarts he had loahted Hellius Surla as much as he did Julian Kahn. The guy was psychopathic with absolutely no remorse for anyone he hurt, and that was alarmingly frequent. But in the last 12 months things had changed. Perhaps it was the fact he was dating one of his good friends, but Hellius had changed. He was no longer that same person. Sure, he was still very angry and he could tell there was [alot[/i] of emotional baggage inside, but fundamentally the Sorting Hat had chosen correctly; he was a good person when it counted. |

Julian alighted from the train and immediately spotted Tinsley and Constanta leaning against the wall with their belongings. Shoving a second year out of the way he strode over to join them, dropping his trunk with theirs before shoving a hand casually into his pocket. He had not spoken to Tinsley since his vision in which the Dark Lord had spoken to him, telling him about Tinsley's involvement also with the Knights of Walpurgis. He would have to have a private conversation with her soon. "How was the summer ladies? Everything to your...satisfaction?" his tone was the usual low, whispy one he used when talking with Tinsley. His eyes locked with hers, his smirk making it very obvious that he desired nothing more than to be the one satisfying it. He enjoyed the little games the pair of them played with each other. Similar in fact to he and Jordanna in their earlier years. His eyes wondered the crowd, looking for a certain few faces, and he found them all together; Addie, Tristan and Hellius, all standing together like a flock of sheep. Defense club? Pfffft! Idiots! |

Tinsley's heard the distinct noise of her dreams coming to an abrupt stop. "Oh, you're the prefect?" said Tinsley slowly, putting two and two together. "Congratulations! I always knew they'd never make a girl like me prefect. You're perfect for it." Tinsley was half truthful. She knew she wasn't the prefect type, but had been hoping Belleford would have cut her some slack. After all, she was the first of the Carmicheals to be denied that privilege. Tinsley had just wanted to make her mother proud. Speaking of her mother, when Constanta asked about the locket, Tinsley was happy to change the subject. "It was my mothers. Thanks." She looked down at it and smiled a little sadly. "How was the summer ladies? Everything to your...satisfaction?" Tinsley's tired eyes rolled and she smiled. She could have recognized that voice from miles away. She turned her face slightly and smirked, rolling her eyes as Julian Kahn approached them. "Of course my summer was wonderful. I'm Tinsley Carmicheal." Except for the ending. Except for the World Cup. Tinsley glanced at Julian's hands to see if he was wearing the ring she gave him, and then she bit her lip. Did he catch he checking...? |

Ella watched Hellius uncurse and help the boy, Eryan, to his feet, frowing slightly when she saw his cane but not thinking much of it--after all, the thought of Hellius Surla getting into trouble and being injured wasn't all that suprising. What a suprise...we're not even in sight of the castle yet and Slytherin's already losing points Ella said, laughing as she walked over to where a group of 5th years was standing. She looked around, her eyes falling on Addie for a moment before she quickly looked away--she had heard about the Gryffindor's mother and, while she felt bad for her friend, Ella was never good with...well, with that sort of thing. |

Constanta blushed and thanked Tinsley. Even though Tinsley was her best friend, Constanta could understand why she wasn't chosen. She didn't have the best reputation with the teachers and her fellow students in general. But in their exclusive inner social circle, Tinsley was Queen Bee and everybody knew it. Stanta considered herself something along the lines of Tinsley's right-hand [wo]man, in a way. She smiled at Julian's approach and crossed her arms. "My summer was dull. Sad as it is, I've actually been looking forward to school. I'm sure things will pick up now we're all back together again." |

Julian absentmindedly twisted the ring around his finger, remembering the discussion he had had with Azariah. Now that he was aware that Tinsley was involved with the Dark Lord, it was obvious that this ring she had given him randomly was from him. As to what it did he didn't know, but he had flashes of himself wielding immeasureable power because of it. His smirk widened ast the thought. "I'm sure we can find something to interest you. We can't very well have you bored, can we? Perhaps during the Banquet something might happen to alleviate the feeling for you." His expression made it clear that he intended to be the one to cause such an event.

Emma glared at Mitchell as he walked away. Typical Slytherin's, right? But even Julian Kahn had more class than that. Mumbling obscenities under her breath, she sheepishly glanced back at her friends. Her cheeks blushed slightly as she watched Hellius help Eyran. She felt a lump in her throat. The only reason Eyran had been hurt was because of her - and she had a feeling she hurt Rosalind's feelings, too. Well. They'll grow back bones, right? We all do...Em. Do you realize what you just thought? Well. It's the truth. Emma wrung her hands. She glanced at Ella as she approached them. "I don't know what got into me. I just can't stand people who, for some strange reason, think so highly of themselves when all they have to back them up is...well, pink hair, or a quick tongue." Em shrugged. There was no use in worrying about what had happened - it was over, and done with. She just, faintly, and in the back of her mind, worried about what her friends would think of her. That, too, would fade with time. The memory of the way she had acted, and the harsh, cold tone in which she had spoke so flirtatiously, wouldn't fade as easily. Em was a little surprised she'd even let herself get so carried away. Part of it, though...had been enthralling. Invigorating. Fun. Well, I guess I know what I've been missing out on, then. |

Stanta rubbed one of her bare arms and raised her eyes to Julian's. Damn, he was hot. He flirted a little with everyone he didn't scorn, but she couldn't deny the attraction she felt to him. She licked her lips and smirked devilishly. "Well, I can't say that would be unwelcome, Julian, dear," she murmured. She was beginning to have a good feeling about this year. |

Professor Aphelion jumped down from the front carriage as the procession reached the Hogsmeade station. As Deputy Headmaster he had the task of ensuring all the students reached the castle, and traveling with the new first years across the Great Lake. It had always been a mystery to him as to why the first years had to arrive separately to everyone else, and across the Lake of all places, but he had never questioned it out loud and never would. "Alright now, all 1st years to me please! All other students find a carriage and head on up to the castle! The feast will begin as soon as you've all arrived. Leave your luggage here, it will be dealt with for you! All 1st years to me please!" His voice echoed across the gathered throng of students as slowly they made their way to the horseless carriages. He knew they were pulled by Thestrals and had been able to see them for years but it still made him chuckle when students questioned what was pulling them, and saddened him when a student who couldn't see them last year suddenly could. You could always tell too, the look of fear and confusion on their face as they watched the creatures was abundantly apparant, the amused expressions on their friends faces as they thought the person was crazy. It was not publicized knowledge that Thestrals pulled them, only when a student could see them did they learn the fact.[/size] Edited by Professor Nate Aphelion, Mar 28 2009, 08:25:30 PM.

Addie watched as the first years wandered past, before glancing back to her friends. "Well, I guess we'd better get going, come on." She commented softly, taking Tristan's hand and leading the way over to the carriages. Addie stopped shivering slightly at the ghastly horse-like creatures suddenly pulling the carriages. She did a double take, glancing around to see if anyone else had noticed them. For the most part, the other students passed right by them, as though they'd always been there. There were only a few others who, like her, had stopped to stare. "Tris... Em... Do you see them?" She asked quietly, slowly walking over to one of the carriages and slipping inside, watching the creatures along the way. |

A chill was felt down Emma's spine, like she was doused in freezing cold water. The carriages - the carriages weren't carrying themselves anymore. The grotesque, horse-like figures in front of them had an air of definite elegance, but their eerie appearance did nothing to soothe Emma's nerves, which were slightly rattled. She bit her lip, and glanced at Addie. "I see them too," she whispered solemnly. "...I see them too." |

After receiving no reply from the others, Michael walked off alone to a corner to watch the proceedings. All of the sudden the Professor, Nate Aphelion, ushered all of the first year onto their boats for the trip to Hogwarts. Stupid first years! I'm glad they don't let them get on the carriages. I think they give them the boats to separate them from us. Well, I guess I better catch one of the thestral-drawn carriages myself. With that, Michael walked off and found an empty carriage. He got on and waited for it to move along with the others, to carry him to the Great Hall for the Start of Term feast. Oh how I hate these Start of Term feasts. The Headmistress drones on the same speech every year, the stupid first years get Sorted into their Houses, and people gorge themselves on large amounts of food, intent on becoming fat tubs of lard. People like that are beneath me. Edited by Michael Wood, Mar 28 2009, 09:47:49 PM.

Hellius led Emma to the carriages, stopping beside Addie as she stopped in awe at the thestral horses pulling them. He licked his lips, flicking the tip of his tongue off of the point of one of his teeth. He had always been able to see the horses since his first year seeing the carriages; he just assumed that they were regular magical horses. Glancing at Addie, unsure if something was wrong, Hellius cleared his throat and squeezed Emma's hand slightly. "Couldn't you? I thought they were just always there; didn't bother to read up on it," he shrugged, leaning on his cane. "I mean - horses! Magic! Ooooh, my god. It didn't really matter much to me since second year." |

Tinsley sighed, glancing in between Julian and Constanta. She forced a smile, trying to seem as nonchalant with things as possible, though she definitely looked a little worn. Regardless, she shrugged, and let everything roll of her shoulders for the time being. She glanced at Addie, Tristan, Hellzy, and Emma. "I know this year is going to be good. I can feel it. And Perfect Prefect Constanta Lupei can make sure we don't get into too much trouble, right, Julian?" Tinsley smiled at him and arched an eye brow suggestively. She loved the game of cat and mouse which always went on between the two - though they both, certainly, knew how the other felt. Tinsley just hoped her attitude wasn't changing too much for his liking. He, seemingly, hadn't noticed. But, what with the bathroom fiasco during the World Cup, Tinsley was finally starting to see a change in herself. And, surprisingly, she kind of liked it. "Anyway. I'm starving. And while I can't say I'm excited to watch those bloody midgets get sorted, I am excited to see what Belleford says - you know. About the World Cup." She looked at Julian pointedly, in spite of herself. Without another word, she turned on her heel and crawled into a carriage, which at once headed for the castle. |

Emma shook her head and frowned as Hellius squeezed her hand. She looked at him curiously, her eyes scanning his face. Was he serious? He's always seen them? Em bit her lip. There was some reason that the mysterious beasts had suddenly appeared, and Em was determined to find out. As soon as I can get away, I'm going to the library. She racked her mind for a possible solution, but Em hardly ever payed her Care of Magical Creatures class much attention. Now, of course, she cursed under her breath. "I've never even had an inkling that these might have existed," said Emma cautiously. She sighed. "I was pretty sure the carriages drew themselves." She was slightly surprised with the fact that Hellius had never before even wondered about them, because Emma's mind was spinning, simply because she hated not knowing something so common sense as what sort of creature the horse-like, grunting, great winged things were. "I guess there's a first time for everything," mumbled Emma, more to herself. |

Tristan stood beside Addie, his mouth open in surprise, as he stared, fixated at these...horses for lack of a better word. Yet they were unlike any horse he'd ever seen. They were quite ugly, scaly, and reptilian looking, with massive wings folded over their backs. He didn't know where they had come from or why they suddenly needed creatures to pull the carriages when they'd always managed to pull themselves for four years, but he wasn't a huge fan of the creatures. They unnerved him. It never occurred to him that they had always been there and only now he could see them. He climbed into the nearest carriage and helped Addie to join him before setting off for the castle. |

Chelsea stepped off of the Hogwarts express with a feeling of pure distress. She hadn't seen her mother or father, Jet had taken them to the station in a muggle car. Chelsea had wanted more than anything to talk to her dad about what Jet had told her. she glared at Jay as he fussed over the trunks and simply did not seem to have remembered what Jet had blurted out at the world cup. She slunk over to the carriage and climbed in, hoping the feast was a little more interesting than usual. Something deep had changed within Chelsea and she wasn't even quite aware how much just yet. |

Her owl's cage was perched on top of the trunk and she smiled down at him, peering into his little cage and checking to see if he was alright. She stood up straight and glided over towards Jay. "Oh, that would be great," answered Summer, beaming at Jay's kind offer. She handed the trunk to him and waited. "Alright then, we should get going. The feast is going to start soon!" She grinned and hoisted herself up into the carriage, placing herself next to Chelsea. Summer smiled at the girl before turning back to see if Jay was coming. |
