Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Holly Grey
Member Avatar
Fourth Year

Student

Full name: Holly, Anja, Grey
Nickname(s): None
Gender: Female
Birthdate: October 3
Age: 14
Year: Fourth Year.
Blood: Half-blood
Wand: 8 ½, Ash with Chimaera Scale
Preferred House: Hufflepuff

Appearance:
Height: Sadly, Holly isn't a very tall girl. She stands at a whopping 5 ft, not kidding.
Eyes: Holly's eyes are a bright hazel, most of the time glowing even in the dark because of how easy light is reflected, though not like a dog's or cat's.
Hair: Usually a medium brown, though it always depends on the light, Holly doesn't wear her hair up often and curls it as it falls to just an inch or so past the shoulders, but naturally it tends to be nothing more than an awaiting bird's nest if not taken care of.

Physical Description:
Unlike many who live within the cold kingdom of England, pale as they tend to be, Holly has a tanned layout upon her skin. She was actually born in the United States, growing up in the south and, at one point, Brazil. Her skin is mostly free of any sort of acne, but she is prone to freckles around her shoulders and a few across her face. Not perfect, well, anything but perfect, Holly is exceptionally normal. She's ‘pretty', but doesn't give many time to compliment her that way. She has a small frame, and looks frail, but looks can also be deceiving. Holly has a tom-boyish attitude, and dresses like a skater of sorts when outside of school uniform. Then again, even when she's in uniform Holly is always wearing a chain necklace or beanie depending on the day. Magic isn't the only defense Holly has, and she has enough force behind her punches to prove that the ‘old fashion' ways of ‘dueling' are just as good as the magical way.

Personality:
Holly is a bright girl with an overall friendly attitude. She is slightly temperamental, but with an optimistic air. Her life is full of its ups and downs, and odd triple left turns that, at one point, go right. It's all a part of being a teenager though, something Holly is used to and not afraid to deal with. What she would fancy more though, than life, would be her fascination with dragons, which also leads to flying. A wish, yet one that will most likely only be a dream, is to be an animagus and turn into a dragon. She loves flying, wishes she could fly more, but regular birds aren't quite her character. Maybe she is hoping for too much, but then again, Holly has a large and creative mind. There is always something going on within the young girl's head, some good and some just a little bad.

It may not seem that way at first, but Holly also has a love of fighting, of pulling pranks and scarring other students and even staff at times. It's not a sudden urge, but when forced, Holly can, and will hit hard. Once, she had beaten up a boy her age when living in the states because he had picked on her friend almost every day. An ambulance had to get the boy, and Holly since she also didn't go without a few good marks herself. Maybe her tongue is sharper than her punches, but it can be hard to tell unless you are the unfortunate one to experience both. Holly doesn't hate a lot of people, but the one's that irritate her to no end are the point blank idiots, conceited perfectionists, and the silent, very, very emo "I HATE the world and my life" sort of people.

History:
Holly's mother wasn't born into a world of magic, but a muggle world with her muggle parents. Elaine, the mother, met Jackson, the father, through her childhood years. They spent summers together and she loved listening to his stories about ancient ruins and old stories. They eventually got married, but it didn't last too long. Once Madison, Holly's older sister, was born things grew a little rocky, but it was nothing that the couple couldn't handle. Once Holly had been born though, magic, which Elaine had tried to hide for so long, became unbearable. It was always there, but in little ways. They girls couldn't help it, but Jackson could. He divorced Elaine, leaving her with the girls. It isn't a very sad story, since Holly wasn't old enough to remember a lot, but it is worth mentioning.

After that, life went on as it usually would, just without a father figure. Elaine had dated a lot, but Holly grew to just ignore when a new man was brought over to the house. She always had something better to do, like watching her mother and other dragon keepers take care of the dragons that lived within the South American Reservation. Only when an invitation for Madison came in the mail from Hogwarts did the small family move to England. Elaine resumed her Dragon Keeping work in Romania with Holly until the next year when Holly too went to Hogwarts.

Family:
Jackson Grey – Father – Muggle/ Archeologist/ Pilot
Elaine Devuoir – Mother – Witch/ Dragon Keeper
Madison Grey – Sister – Witch/ Student

Pet(s): Striped Owl named Kylic
Possessions: A little, animated Peruvian Vipertooth dragon (like the little, I'm just going to guess clay, animated ones during the fourth movie when they were picking dragons from the bag) which was given to her by her mom, and some clay to make dragon sculptures herself.

I Googled you guys. Wasn't very hard, just put in Hogwarts Roleplay

Do you have any previous roleplaying experience? If so, on or in what? What universe did you roleplay in? Could you provide a sample roleplay of yours?
I've been role playing for about five or six years now. I started off on a Hogwarts site, and a wolf site, but grew to love playing as an animal a lot. I've played on other humans sites though as well throughout the years, and have recently thought about playing as a human again in a Harry Potter realm.

((Post from a long time ago and one that I had found. Stardust, wolf))
The night crawled on, living once again for another few hours. The wind whistled softly, playing an old song never forgotten to nature. A few birds fluttered around, adding to the nightly noise, but the darkness was not for them. And one wolf stood alone in the clearing in the forest, staring up at the sky, watching the stars with the curiosity of an animal that could never, truly, be able to understand them.

Stardust spent most of his boring nights here, trying to make something out of this lonely time. He usually left with enough contentment to live another day, but tonight was different. Sometimes life wasn't easy to understand, the large grey wolf knew that much, but it had never been so bothersome as it did that night. There was something Dust was trying to understand, sadly though, he wasn't sure exactly he was looking for. His spirit guide wasn't helping much either. Dust hadn't seen her for days, and he wasn't the kind to plead for company. He could wait for something to happen.

'Five hours later, and still nothing…' Dust watched the sky still, he was now lying down on a small mound of dirt just a bit off the center of the clearing. It grew quiet for a while, but like always, something had to disturb it. The large brute's stomach growled loudly, and the wolf growled back. Yes, he was hungry, but for some odd reason Dust couldn't find prey. Surely it wasn't this hard, prey was abundant just a few weeks ago. 'Not now obviously…' Dust thought sarcastically to himself. Maybe a rabbit would appear at some point, and even that was better than nothing. Dust could also fish.

Looking away from the sky, the large wolf contemplated what rivers were around here. Fishing would do too, if the land prey were not to be found.
