| Read Today's Daily Prophet: Knights of Walpurgis attack Hogwarts; Belleford steps down as Hogwarts closes until further notice |
| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. "I am just trying to help," catalina was so used to Chelsea's insults, that this girl was no different to her. she was determined to make this girl smile. "Whatever is bugging you, we can talk about it. And I know you must be upset about something but really, Tinsley, a problem shared is a problem halved," She chimed perkily. Cat had been pushed around by Chelsea for most of her life and so threats meant nothing to her. |

Tinsley whipped out her wand and held it to Catalina's throat. "I will never talk about my problems with you. Never. You enter this world alone and you die alone, and I won't be any different." With a sharp jab to the throat Tinsley pocketed her wand and left the Grounds. |

Kayden walked upon the Grounds not wishing to see anyone but Grant. She had tried to find him, and had hoped he was trying to find her. And if he was, he would come immediately to the Grounds, seeing as if they couldn't find eachother, this is where they would come. Finding the tree where her and Grant always sit and talk, she perched herself under, noticing a student by herself as well. Not wanting to make conversation of any sort, she sat indian-styled and rested her chin on the palm of her left hand, gandering her eyes around the Grounds. "I really shouldn't be out here," Kayden muttered to herself. Veronique could be anywhere out here, and that wasn't something she could use right now. OOC| I'm just going to say that Kayden and Grant's place together was always the Grounds. Play along ;] Edited by Kayden Slayer, Dec 9 2008, 08:44:20 PM.

Catalina came too and felt the cold air hit her on her face. She shook with both cold and fright. What was she going to do? She had to get out of here. Leave! Find someone. She felt so vulnerable and so alone. Tears streamed down her face and she attempted to stand. All she had done was be nice to people and this is how they treated her? Pulling her wand from her robes, she was shaking violently. Under another tree she saw another girl from slytherin and glared at her reproachfully. She wanted nothing to do with anyone any more and she wanted so badly to leave and never return to this awful place. Steadying herself on an old knarled tree, she tried to catch her breath. Her hair was streaked with mud from when she had fainted and her robes were a little dirty. Always the vain one, Cat performed the scurgify spell upon herself and took several deep breaths. She took a few steps forward and glaring at the Slytherin girl sitting on the floor, she held her wand high, allowing the girl to see she was ready for anything. Catalina, in the last few months had changed dramatically. she felt unwanted, rejected and extremely mistrustful of anyone. Gulping in deep breaths she made her way toward the castle, not taking her eyes completely off of the girl, just in case she cast a spell from behind. |

Ella pushed open the heavy oak doors and almost immediately thought about going back inside-the crisp December air cut through her cloak as if it wasn't there. She decided against it, however, and walked onto the grounds, allowing her feet to wander as her mind followed suit. She thought about the Holidays that would be starting the very next day, which meant going seeing her family for the first time in months. Of course, she missed her parents and was looking forward to seeing them and her Grandparents and cousins (not that she was particularly close to any of her cousins-not only did they all go to Durmstrang and therefore rarely saw Ella, but all of her uncles were considerably older than her father, meaning that none of their children were her age). However, as much as she was looking forward to going home, Ella knew that she would soon start to miss her friends and classes much more than she missed being at home. Not that she saw much of her friends much anymore-in fact, Ella could hardly remember when the last time she had spoken to them was. Of course, she was busy-- what with Quidditch, homework, classes...but Ella couldn't help but feel that there was more to it, and that it wasn't her friends that were avoiding her, whether she realized she was doing it or not. The Slytherin sighed and stopped her walking, glancing around her. She had come to a halt near the immense Lake, it's cold waters looking black in the fading sunlight. She picked up a smooth stone and attempted to skip it across the water as she had seen others do countless times, frowning when it merely sank to the bottom a few feet away with a small splash. |

That was it. Tinsley was going to apologize to Catalina. What's happened to me? Tinsley bit her lip and rushed out onto the grounds, looking around her nervously. Her eyes, in their panic, only searched for Catalina's face. To her dismay, Cat was gone, and Tinsley was alone. Even though her friend Kayden was also on the grounds, Tinsley could not see her where she was. She was a mere dot in the distance, and as a cold breeze whipped past Tinsley's pale cheeks, her eye lashes fluttered and a tear fell down Tinsley's cheek. With a gasp, Tinsley's hand rose to her cheek. Her jaw dropped and she glanced down, peering into the palm of her hand, where clearly on her leather glove was a wet smear of a tear. Tinsley wiped it on her jeans and kept walking towards the lake, somewhat stunned. "To be, or not to be," murmured Tinsley as she walked, her feet crunching on the ground beneath her feet. "That...is the question." She saw, then, Eleonore Collins skipping a rock to no avail at the edge of the lake. The blood traitor for as long as Tinsley could remember, she hardly ever gave Eleonore the time of day, let alone a casual word by the lake. Tinsley stopped in her tracks and watched her silently for a moment, finally stepping forward. She didn't look at Eleonore directly, but instead stared ahead of her, staring at the depths of the lake. Finally, Tinsley turned her face to flash Eleonore a weak smile. She bent low, picked up a rock, and attempted to skim it across the lake. It, too, fell into the black lake without so much as a hop. Tinsley shrugged and turned to face Eleonore. "Good game...captain." |

"Good game...captain." Ella started when she heard a voice, as she hadn't heard anyone come up behind her. However, she wasn't nearly as surprised to hear the voice as to see who it belonged to-- Tinsley Carmicheal, the Slytherin Queen Bee herself. Ella blinked, unsure of how to respond. Tinsley was smiling, however, and seemed to be attempting to be at least civil. Oh...thanks. She replied . You were good too, with the commentating... Ella added, a small smirk playing on her lips as she remembered Tinsley's not-so-objective commentary throughout the match. |

"Yeah, I was pretty good...wasn't I?" smiled Tinsley, staring off into the sunset. She picked up another rock and threw it at the lake, trying to understand where this unwonted urge to make friends in the oddest places came from. Perhaps avoiding being the butt of jokes was an added plus...with a sigh Tinsley shoved her cold hands in her pockets. "But whatever. I mean, I could never do what you do. On a broom, I mean." Tinsley kicked the ground absentmindedly, turning to glance and find Catalina. She was honestly gone. Tinsley bit her lip, wondering why she had hurt someone who only wanted to give Tins a chance. She certainly had a habit of doing that. "What are you doing alone?" asked Tinsley, breaking the silence after a few moments. "Shouldn't you...I don't know, be at the party or something? Celebrating?" |

I went for a while, but watching a bunch of people drink and be loud as possible begins to grow tiresome after a bit she replied, shrugging. Not to mention the fact that I don't exactly get along with- she stopped mid-sentence, glancing quickly at Tinsley before tossing another rock into the water to cover up her abrupt silence. What about you? It seems like that would be your kind of thing, the party? |

"Yeah...I mean, I was totally into the party for a while," said Tinsley quietly, shrugging. "I guess you could imagine why...but, I had a hot date with Shakespeare." She pulled out the tiny battered black copy of Hamelot she had snatched from the library only minutes before. "It gets old fast, you know?" But maybe Eleonore didn't know. Tinsley sighed, becoming increasingly aware of her reactions, and actions...Maybe Hellius did have a few points. |

Yeah...Ella trailed off, still unsure of what to think of the whole situation. After all, Ella was lucky to get along with even the most neutral Slytherin and here she was, talking to a Purist if there ever was one as if it was no big deal. No offence, Ella began, turning to face Tinsley. But-aren't we supposed to hate each other? I mean, not that I'm not enjoying our little...chat, but isn't this the part where you go on about how I'm a blood traitorous half-blood and I rant about you being a stuck-up, stereotypical Slytherin? |

"Uhm...yeah. About that," muttered Tinsley, her weak voice trailing off as a gust of wind blew back her curls. She turned to Eleonore and shrugged. She wanted to change, as silly as it sounded, but something told Tinsley that it would be much harder than she predicted. "I think there's a blood traitor in all of us. Some of us just choose to ignore it and go on like it doesn't exist." Abe entered Tinsley's thoughts again and she didn't shake them off this time. His ability to keep up with her baffled her, and at the same time, excited her. No one else had been able to supply such a chase for her. Maybe it didn't matter so much that he was a Hufflepuff. ...Maybe. |

Noticing people in the distance, Kayden got herself up from where she was sitting and stood up, examining the distance. Everything was dark, and it wasn't a good place for Kayden to have herself, even though she wanted to see Grant. She waited and waited, and he didn't appear. It isn't worth it, she thought to herself. Walking towards the people she saw in the distance, Kayden's eyes widened as she noticed it was Tinsley, along with Ella. Strange, she thought to herself. Approaching them, Kayden rested her head on Tinsley's shoulder not saying anything really. Tinsley had known she was upset and what not, so instead she said, "Hello Ella." Julian appeared as a silhouette outlined against the bright lights of the front doors, his eyes scanning the ground and finding the very people he was looking for: Tinsley and Kayden. A third person was with them but his eyes must be confused as it looked an awful lot like that blood traitor Ella and surely Tinsley would never stoop so low. He strolled across the grounds to join the trio, nodding to Tinsley as he got within reach, "Why did you leave the party? It was your idea in the first place, was it not?" Julian was quite pleased with how the match had gone; obviously his little pep talk had worked. Not to mention Tinsley humiliating Tristan in front of everyone. Tinsley paused suddenly. The voice she had come to smirk at now sent a chill down her spine as she glanced at Ella and bit her lip. Shooting her a stern look she turned to face Julian, who at once erased all thought of Abe. She thought back on the brief butterflies which needed to be violently murdered, yet Tinsley managed to smile, however weak it was. "I didn't see you there," she said smoothly, though her tone lacked its usual harsh confidence, overshadowed now by her occasional sighs and her sad, wide, violet eyes. "I thought I'd come out for some fresh air." Tins once again bit her pale lips, which were shivering slightly in the frigid air. Edited by Tinsley Carmicheal, Dec 11 2008, 08:08:31 PM.

"Oh I was there, don't you worry." He watched her bite her lips, curious now as to what was on her mind. Glancing above and beyond her he spotted Ella standing there like a child amongst adults. "Don't let one, little Quidditch win make you think that will undo your blood traitor ways." He sneered at the girl before returning his attention to Tinsley, "Join me for a drink? Not in the common room if you didn't feel like returning." |

Kayden laughed softly to herself. She found it amusing how Julian could captivate one's mood and make them compeletly trip over themselves. Taking her head off of Tinsley's shoulder she looked from each of them then down to the floor. Where's Grant?, she thought to herself, he better not choose the time to arrive, as now. If Grant were to show up in front of all them, it would not be such a nice scenario. Instead of speaking about Quidditch, even though Kayden caught the snitch, she just looked around with wide eyes, keeping her eyes opened for anything coming near them. |

"Er, Hi Kayden." Ella said, nodding towards the girl. Shortly after, none other than Jullian Kahn joined the group and began speaking to Tinsley before turning to her. "Don't let one, little Quidditch win make you think that will undo your blood traitor ways." Oh, and I was so hoping that if we won you would let me join your mindless little group of pureblooded-snobs. She said, rolling her eyes at him. Tinsley looked back at Ella, unable to say anything. It was as though her vocal chords had been cut by some invisible source. It was a thoughtful Tinsley which turned away from Ella without a word and tried not to ignore Kayden completely, but it was hard with her mind unable to focus on anything in particular, although it was impossible to ignore the uncomfortable hurricane of anxiety which was building in her stomach as she heard, "Join me for a drink? Not in the common room if you didn't feel like returning." And suddenly Tinsley was quite sure she had made a mistake in trying to befriend Ella. She'd always be a blood traitor, regardless of how Tinsley felt previously. With a condescending sigh she said, "Pure blooded snob? How original. Anyway.." Tinsley smiled, this time more genuine than the last. Even if a lowly Hufflepuff wanted to toy with her mind, he was most likely lying about being pure blood - the Sorting Hat never made mistakes. And standing before her, offering a drink, was what she had been thinking about all night, even if she had denied it nearly three billion times. She turned back to Julian. "Sure," said Tinsley with a shrug. "I mean, what have we got to lose? Perhaps we should go somewhere more...private." Tins' eyes sparkled with a mischievous, all-too-familiar gleam.
