Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Fifth Year Posts: 880 Group: Slytherin Member #533 Joined: Jul 24 2008 Age 18 Location Wouldn't you like to know..	Kayden walked into the Magical Concepts room, in search for Professor Tortal. Wiping away her tears, she knew she looked like a trainwreck. Hair was loose and wild, makeup was smeared, bags under her eyes, she just wasn't looking, or feeling her best. Walking in deeper to the cold and darkened classroom, Kayden said in a trembling voice, "Pro,.. Professor? Professor Tortal?" she called for him, stumbling slowly, looking around corners, waiting for him. I need help.

Magical Concepts Professor Posts: 315 Group: External Citizen Member #87 Joined: Feb 11 2007	Charles sat in his chair, hidden amongst the darkness. He was rummaging through his papers, looking for an important schedule. A cigar was steadily burning in his mouth and its tip was the only definite amount of light that emitted from the classroom. Light from the outside was muffled by some invisible barrier which acted as if a curtain. As Miss Slayer stumbled into his classroom, Professor Tortal glanced at her quickly, then put out his cigar in his ash tray in a rush. Turning in his chair, clapping twice, and standing up, the lights flickered on and everything was illuminated. "May I help you, Miss Slayer?"

Something about him, made her intimidated everytime she was near, or thought about him. "Well sir, I'd like to talk to you about, you know, the attack the other day," she said, stepping closer to him, so she could actually see his face clearer seeing as it was darkened. Squeezing the bottom of her shirt with her right hand, Kayden placed the other in her back pocket of her jeans, and tried to ignore the annoyance she felt in her chest.

Magical Concepts Professor Posts: 315 Group: External Citizen Member #87 Joined: Feb 11 2007	Charles nodding, flicking his hand at one of the chairs stationed quietly at the desks. It sprang into action, knocking into the table once, then it backed up, raised into the air swiftly, and flew over in front of Charles' desk. It landed smoothly with little sound. "Of course," he motioned to the chair. "Please have a seat." He sat.

Kayden looked from Tortal to the chair and cleared her throat abruptly, strutting over to the empty seat slowly. Pacing her eyes around through the darkness, Kayden's eyes landed on Professor Tortal. She knew that her eyes always gave off a heartless and angst look in them, even when she didn't necessary mean to give that feeling off. Rubbing under her nose in nervousness, Kayden put her hands in her lap and leaned back. "Professor, you mentioned certain things that could happen, because of the attack, but I'd like to know what sort of things that can happen," Kayden referred, and though back to Grant and how she supposively mistreated him and shoved him. I don't even remember doing that, Kayden thought to herself. This had to be a sign from the dark witch, she thought to herself, or a sign that I'm losing my mind.

Generally, magic such as this is similar to what is affecting Hellius Surla," Charles began with his hands folded in his lap. "He is, unknown to many people, very often controlled by a parasite. The parasite was attempted to be combated by a symbiote, but it was... unsuccessful. However, you are not inflicted by a parasite. But, more so, it is as if you have a tiny cameras in your eyes, a tracking device in your chest, and an "off" switch." Charles paused, sighing to himself. Putting across as hints wasn't going to work. "She watches everything you do, knows where ever you are, and she can take control of your body."

Taking her hands out of her lap, she grabbed on tightly to the armrests on both sides and lunged herself forward to Professor Tortal. In a shaky voice, almost on the edge of a breakdown, Kayden managed to say, "Professor, wh.. what can I do? Is there anything to cope with?" She looked at him with enlarged eyes and fury rising in them, by each minute. How could this have happened to me? she thought to herself. An image of her father appeared in Kayden's mind and all she wanted to do was hold onto him, she knew he was always there for her, no matter what, he wouldn't let anything happen to her. Closing her eyes softly, Kayden said, "I want you to help me in any way you can." OOC\| sexually. haha, jk.

Charles sighed, looking at her with unfortunate eyes which glimmered with what almost looked like pity. "That depends, actually. She apparently has interest in you... and since she knows exactly what's going on with you at all times, if it comes to the point of where you're in danger... I suppose she would save you." He shrugged. "Or not. Either way, she's like a guardian angel - a pervasive, probably evil, guardian angel." He sighed again. "You somewhat share a mind. So... if you somehow have thoughts that aren't your own, in a sense that you would kill your best friend, that's it." Leaning forward in his seat, he looked directly in Kayden's eye. "If you would like a way to keep her from your thoughts . . . there still is Occlumency."

Kayden took her hands off of the armrests and rubbed over her face with them briefly. Tracing over her lips, thinking about Occlumency, she was worried about the whole situation. The way Professor was putting it, wasn't sounding like death to her, but still, it was a far worse situation that she could have ever imagined herself getting into. Maybe I should talk to Hellius, Kayden thought to herself. Wanting to take her mind off of the topic and her problems, Kayden stood up from her seat. She truly appreciated how Professor Tortal was treating her and showing some interest in helping her. Moving closer to his desk, she said, "I think I'm going to go think on it. I'll be back soon to talk to you further and let you know about the plans," she said looking down at her hands, "Thank you, for everything," she said dimly and reached for his hand, and nodded, then left the classroom.
