| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Hellius lay in a back cot of the Hospital Wing. He had been carried there in the middle of the night after the slight mishaps with his cousin and the rather severe magical wounds sustained from the Auror. He had dreams riddled with sadness, or what would've been considered sadness from others' standards. He was unmoved, in general, and he rested peacefully despite the depression riddling his dreams. Was there anything lower than how he already felt? |

Bidelia entered the Hospital Wing, a frown on her face. She hated to be the bearer of bad news, though unfortunately, as Headmistress, that tended to be her job. The old woman scanned the room briefly, running a hand through her curly grey hair. She generally had a lively spark in her eye, which made students wonder how old she was. Today, she really did look her age. "I see you're awake Mr. Surla, how are you feeling?" |

The covers on Hellius' bed were wrinkled and tattered, which they weren't the night before. Blinking a couple times, he slowly turned his head to look at the headmistress with an utterly blank face; absent of emotion, bare of anything the boy was the previous night. Perhaps his spirit was broken, or maybe everything he was... was missing. His mind was slow and sluggish and instead of his usual notion of having several different possibilities planned through his head within a few seconds. He focused on the moment. The cut from Jacob's knife looked as if it had seared over from intense heat and on several locations, there was black burns from the electrocution. "He... said things last night, ma'am. Should I ask?" |

The woman sighed faintly and shook her head. "There's no need to worry about that dear. Though, I'm afraid I've come to be the bearer of bad news." The woman paused, unsure of how to go on. "I'm sorry Hellius, but your mother has.. passed away. It's still being investigated, though the aurors believe it was done by dark wizards..." She commented gently, watching his face carefully. |

Hellius sat there for a moment, raising his eyebrow into a direct and subtle quirk. His mind seemed to be captured by depressing thoughts; as if his personality and spirit had been crushed. However, although his mind was wrapped around depression as if a snake curled around its prey, he wasn't suffocating. From the outside, he looked silent - calm. As the news about his mother was shared, Hellius yawned, turning his head to the headmistress. He looked up at her with a blank look, signifying boredom. He wasn't moved. "Okay," he said simply, swinging his feet off the edge of his bed. "Is that all, headmistress?" |

The old woman sighed softly and nodded. "Yes, I suppose that is all... Perhaps you should get down to the pitch, I'm sure some of your teammates will already be down there." She commented softly. Everyone had their own way with dealing with grief, wether they showed it or not. She pitied the boy, he certainly seemed to have his fair share. Bidelia offered him a smile before exiting Hospital Wing, headed towards the Quidditch pitch. |

Hellius sighed, generally bored out of his mind. He noticed the change in his mood, as instead of being out of the hospital wing already, he was still sitting on the cot. Shaking his head, the boy pushed himself to his feet and took slow steps towards the exit. The sounds of his footsteps echoing off the walls brought pleasure to his ears, and within a few seconds, he was flooded with deep inner sensations of nostalgia. He left the hospital wing. |

Sheena entered the Hospital Wing for the second time in the past two days. Holding back the tears that threatened to spill over from all the pain she was feeling, she waited at the door to see if Nurse Larter was in. "Excuse me, but I was playing at a Quidditch match earlier, and I think my hand is broken." Even though she normally didn't believe in bad luck, or someone being cursed, she was starting to think that the fates were plotting against her. First she got hit by lightning during a class, then her hand gets broken the next day. What else could possibly go wrong now? |

Summer strolled into the hospital wing after having changed out of her Quidditch robes. She was holding her aching arm and was now beginning to feel as if Addie had been right. She was starting to think that maybe she had broken a bone. Her cheeks were flushing and she was beaming from the Gryffindor victory, but her mind was somewhere else. All she could feel in her arm was pain, and more pain. The side of her head ached badly, too and the smile faded off of her face as the pain finally began to get to her. Summer noticed another girl standing in the doorway of the hospital wing and recognized her as a Ravenclaw chaser. "Oh hey, good game." She nodded at the girl with a weak smile, but she was actually on the verge of tears from the pain in her arm. "Um .. anyone here?" she called out into the pretty much empty room. |

Dinah peeked her tiny head out of her office when she heard voices inside the hospital wing. Standing there were two girls, both looking as if they were in great pain. She frowned slightly and she walked into the hospital wing and towards the two girls. "Hello dears," Dinah greeted them as she stood in front of them, examining their fearful little faces. "What happened here? Shouldn't you two be out on the pitch, watching the game?" she questioned curiously, smiling warmly down at them. |

Sheena forced herself not to pass out from the pain in her hand as Madam Depaul spoke to her and Summer. "Actually, we finished our game a while ago, and both of us were injured in the process. I caught a Quaffle that was going 100 miles per hour, and I think my left hand was broken from the impact of the collision." She then turned to Summer. "Congratulations on your victory, and I hope you recover soon from that nasty fall you took earlier." |

Summer clutched her stomach with her non-injured arm and ran a hand through her loose curls. She tried to swallow down the lump that had appeared in her throat and forced back the tears that she knew were going to fall down her porcelain cheeks any minute now. As Madam Depaul entered the hospital wing, she silently took slow, deep breaths. "Yeah, the game already ended," Summer explained weakly. It was taking all of the energy she could muster to just keep talking. By now her arm was searing with pain. "A bludger hit my head, but I managed not to fall of my broom. But then when another bludger hit the tail of my broom, I couldn't do anything. I fell off my broom and landed on the groud." Summer licked her lips anxiously, praying that even if she had broken her arm, Madam Depaul would be able to fix it. She swallowed nervously, choking back tears, and clutched her arm, still trying her hardest to breathe properly. She wondered where Jayceon was at the moment; she hadn't gotten a chance to congratulate him after the match. Not that she wanted to, though. After what she had done last night, she didn't think she ever wanted to talk to him again; it would be way too embarrassing. |

Dinah frowned slightly as she listened to the girls explain what had happened. She crossed her arms over her chest, thinking about how this was why she had never tried out for Quidditch when she had been at Hogwarts. She had always been a mess on a broomstick, anyways. Dinah examined Summer's arm and Sheena's broken hand carefully, remembering that the latter had just been in the hospital wing yesterday. "Looks like you two have some broken bones," she finally concluded, letting go of Summer's arm and motioning towards two empty hospital beds. "Why don't you two lie down. Broken bones are easy to heal. You'll be back to normal in no time," she reassured them with a smile. |

Sheena made her way to an empty hospital bed for what was the second time in as many days. At least this time she was conscious and not passed out from losing too much blood. As she moved toward the bed, she put her non injured hand on Summer's shoulder as a reminder that she was there for her. |

Summer nodded at Madam Depaul, inwardly sighing in relief that her arm would be healed. After all, she didn't want to miss the after party, nor did she want to miss the whole day of classes left in front of her .. Summer inwardly groaned at the reminder that she would still have to attend classes. All she wanted to do was fall asleep on her four-poster bed in her room. Summer smiled gratefully at Sheena's comforting hand on her shoulder. She then followed the girl to another empty bed besides hers and hopped onto it. She sighed and waited for something to happen, cupping her chin in her hand. |

Dinah nodded in response to Summer and grabbed her wand from her pocket. She knew that the spell could go terribly wrong if not used correctly, but she wasn't worried seeing as she had years of practice and this was one of the most easiest spells a healer needed to know. Dinah cleared her throat and approached Sheena first, directing her arm at the girl's injured hand. "Brackium emendo," Dinah mumbled under her breath. Sheena's arm started to brightly glow and for a moment Dinah worried that something had went wrong. Then, the glow ceased and she exhaled deeply in relief. "Better?" she asked, raising her eyebrows and smiling down at the Ravenclaw. Then she moved onto Summer and pointed her wand at the girl's arm, doing the same thing she had done with Sheena. "There you go, dears. How does it feel?" Dinah questioned, stepping back slightly and replacing her wand in her pocket. |

As Madam Depaul muttered the incantation, Summer's arm immediately began to glow. Then, after what seemed like a few minutes when it was only a few seconds, the bright light ceased and instantly the pain was gone. Her arm wasn't swollen anymore either - it looked as if nothing had even happened. Summer gawked at her arm for a moment before snapping back into reality and smiling gratefully at Madam Depaul. "Wow, thank you. My arm feels so much better now," she commented brightly, her eyes smiling thankfully. "So.. can we leave now?" Summer asked, glancing at the clock hanging from the wall and realizing that she could still make the Hufflepuff/Slytherin match. |

Sheena looked over at Summer when she asked if they could leave now. "If you want, you could come with me and join Tristan and Emma. I heard they were planning to sneak some firewhiskey from the kitchens and taunt all the Slytherins, which sounds like a fun time." This last statement was said in a low voice, so as not to be overheard by Madam Depaul. She shrugged and decided to leave the hospital wing now that her hand was feeling better. "I'll catch you later at the match." After saying goodbye to Summer, she exited the room. |
