| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Jenny stepped into the bathroom, glancing around to make sure it was empty. She shut the door behind her and locked it, making sure that no one else could enter. For the first time since last night, her face was gaunt and free from even a speck of makeup. Her wheat blond, beautiful hair was pulled back in a tight ponytail and her eyes which once were a deep, penetrating dark blue were now dull and gray. "They're as dark as the midnight sky..." That was what Jenny's mother used to say about her eyes. Nevertheless, that was a long time ago. Jenny had become someone else now, a newer and - in Jenny's eyes - better person. She had changed. And she was about to change even more. Jenny looked into the mirror placed on the wall above the sink. She touched the mirror and touched herself, touched her reflection. Jamie had been partially right; she did look deadly. But the only thing this realization caused was a smile on Jenny's porcelain face. As Jenny gazed into the mirror and at her reflection, she also realized that this was the first time in her whole life that she actually liked the way she looked. For the past few years, all Jenny had heard from her mother was about how she needed to be thinner or prettier or sweeter. But her mother wasn't around anymore to tell her what to do. Now, Jenny was her own person, and as her own person, she could do whatever she liked... Thank you, Jamie, for planting this idea in my head... Jenny thought mischievously. A smirk appeared on her face as she remembered her dear sister. No, not her sister, for Jamie was no longer family. Jenny was sure of that now. Instead, she was more like, her housemate. Yes, her housemate. Not her sister. Jenny snickered as she pulled out her wand. Jamie's idea had been for Jenny to dye her hair black and that was exactly what she was going to do. She took a deep breath and licked her lips, her wand frozen while pointed directly at Jenny's light hair. This was her decision, not anyone else's; she had made up her mind. Jenny closed her eyes as she cast the spell. When she opened her eyes and peered into the mirror, she couldn't help but smile contently. The smile grew wider as she stared at her own reflection, hardly even recognizing herself. Her hair was now a much darker color, close to complete black. She touched her hair and bit her bottom lip. Perfect. Jenny chuckled softly at what she imagined to be her family's reaction would be once they saw her new, dark, and magnificent curls. No doubt Jamie would freak out; but, then again, why should she? After all, this had originally been her own suggestion. Jenny folded her arms and smirked at herself. She finally peeled her eyes off of her new, better reflection and yawned. Then, she simply exited the bathroom, wondering if anyone would recognize the new her. For, she knew that it wasn't only her hair that had changed in the last few minutes... In reality, everything she was - or had been - had changed as well. |
