Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Dazed; Day 3, Middle of the Night

Kayden walked into the unused classroom, hoping to find someone, anyone, even a professor (although it was unlikely), to help her try and reverse her curse on James. She walked in slowly, noticing the classroom was very dark, sort of chilly, and had an odd feeling to it. She didn't know why she wanted to learn in the middle of the night, but she had hoped something would have been here that led her here.

Walking over to a section in the far right corner of the classroom, Kayden sat down on the hard floor. She put her head up against the cold wall, letting her hair be the barrier of the cold she felt on her neck; although she seemed to enjoy the sensation of the chill running up and down her neck. Kayden closed her eyes and began to daydream, only of James, of course.

Kayden abruptly fell into a dead sleep, on the cold floor where she was just sitting before. Kaleb had left her grasp and slithered to around the door, letting anyone that walked in see him, just because they wouldn't be able to see Kayden seeing it was so dark.

Jenny had just dropped June off at the Hospital Wing...her hands were shaking, her skin pale and lifeless, her eyes sunken in and gaunt...Jenny felt tainted, violated..nothing could soothe her uneasiness as she stumbled into the unused classroom choking for air. She reached out in the darkness for anything...anything that would perhaps hold her in her time of need.

Instead, Jenny felt a soft tongue lick her skin hungrily. Her eyes widening, she gave out a small yelp, but softened as soon as she felt the weight of Kaleb in her lap, begging to be stroked. Jenny soothingly ran her fingers along his body, pausing to squint into the darkness.

"...Kayden?" called Jenny into the black.

Still in a deep sleep, Kayden's mind was racing, even in a dream. She was with James, but he wasn't himself, he was sort of, like Tinsley. He had the body and the appearance as James, but he was "on top of the world", or so felt like he was. Kayden simply stood by him every second she was with him. Not because he was popular, just because he had always been her best friend. Would he do the same to me? thought the "dream Kayden".

Jenny shrugged..perhaps Kaleb was simply alone. Jenny began to walk around the unused classroom, her eyes wide in the darkness, trying to find an image to hold onto. She gravitated towards the window, for she sensed tension in the air and wondered silently what was happening on the grounds...she knew something was.

Suddenly, Jenny felt the weight of her foot crash down on a body. Bending down quickly, Jenny found she had stepped on Kayden's foot, lost in the darkness. "Ahhh! I'm sorry," yelped Jenny to the sleeping girl.

And then it seemed as thought James was going somewhere, somewhere with Tinsley..?! They were holding hands smiling and laughing in idiotic voices glaring at Kayden and she..

That's when she realized it was all a dream. Somehow, Kayden had fallen asleep in the unused classroom. But, how did she get waken up?

"Ahhh! I'm sorry."

Kayden heard the voice, sort of familiar, kind of hazy, because she was still dazed. She sat up, with her head spinning, and her hair messy all over the place. She rubbed her temples and eyes and looked up to see Jenny. Kayden's eyes widened and dropped her hands really fast and pulled her sweater more tightly aruond her where it was undone. "Jenny, what are you doing here? I thought you went to sleep earlier?"

"I couldn't sleep," said Jenny, sinking to the floor beside Kayden and cradling her face in her hands. "I can never sleep anymore."

Her words hung in the air awkwardly as Jenny removed her hands and casually pulled a few loose strings from the hem of the sweater she was wearing. "June and I were fighting. She's in the Hospital Wing now." Jenny sighed heavily, clearly unsure of herself. She was unsure of everything, and whether she even belonged with them anymore. "But...just a day in the life of Jenny Brooks."

Kayden tightened up as Jenny sank on the floor next to her. Kayden pulled her knees in wrapping her arms around them and resting her head on top of her knees. She shivered a bit and listened to Jenny speak.

"Jenny, if you don't sleep, that can permanently damage you," Kayden said actually concerned. She turned towards Jenny's face and said, "Why did you have to take your sister to the Hospital Wing anyhow?" Kayden felt Kaleb glide up her arm and around her neck once more.

"She...fell," said Jenny, her voice dropping low, her tone slightly evil as though she had caused it. "It was horrible. She was..bleeding everywhere."

Jenny sounded calm, yet oddly intrigued by the fact that her sister was horribly injured. "Serves her right. June needs to be put in her place sometimes." Biting the inside of her cheek, Jenny felt no pain.

Kayden continued to listen to Jenny. How did her sister fall?, Kayden decided not to let it concern her, for it wasn't her concern. "I suppose." Kayden said. She felt tired again, even light-headed.

James, she thought, keep talking, you'll put me to sleep again. Kayden smiled and closed her eyes. She let her head fall, fall onto hi..

Kayden smelt a scent that was not James'. She looked up to see that her head was rested on the very bony shoulder with blonde locks intertwining with her eyelashes. Throwing her head up, Kayden said, "Er, uh sorry about that, Jenny." Kayden bit the bottom of her lip and bowed her head a bit.

OOC| this is like the first time I did the
bite the lip thing. Usually you do it in like every

...kidding, mon petite piaf. Everyone is allowed to bite their lip. haha, you silly goose.<3

Jenny watched Kayden silently as she seemed to drift off, falling asleep beside her. Jenny peered down at Kayden's face, her pale skin seemingly made of porcelain as she slept soundly...something Jenny was unable to do. Jenny softly rubbed Kayden's forehead as she slept, sighing down at the girl...she was so...pure. And so whole. Untouched. And not at all vain, or angry at the world - just a normal girl.

Kayden jerked suddenly, surprising Jenny. Kayden stammered, "Er, uh sorry about that, Jenny."

"It's fine," said Jenny suddenly, scooting away from Kayden, aware that they had been unusually close for girls that had just met. "It's late anyway, and it's been a long day...very, very long."

Jenny sighed. Too long.

Kayden sort of got a sense filling up in her of disappointment. Jenny had been nice and comforting to Kayden.

Kayden turned to face Jenny, "Oh, you're leaving already?" She sort of hoped Jenny wouldn't. Although, Kayden was terribly sleepy and wanted to go back to sleep, she had no intentions of going down to the Dungeons to run into a select few people. She wanted to stay awake for another "all-nighter" in which she had the previous night with he who shall remain nameless.

Kaleb had felt Kayden's sadness and coiled himself around her left legs spitting out his tongue whenever he knew Kayden was in deep thought.

Jenny blinked, glancing at Kayden. Jenny could feel her sadness deep within her as well, chills shooting up Jenny's spine for a moment, her hands gripping the legs of her pants tightly as her body tensed. "I'm not leaving."

Jenny turned away from Kayden to face the darkness. "But if you're tired, sleep. I can feel it. You're exhausted." Jenny pursed her lips and stifled a yawn. "As am I."

"Well, yes, I am tired, but I must stay awake," Kayden began to lie. "You see, I've been sleeping so profusively lately, that my mate told me, I need to stay up all night for a couple of nights." Another lie. Kayden truly did not wish to go down to the Dungeons and into the common room. Even staying here wouldn't be bad, but alone, would just be tough.

Kayden smiled and softly giggled.

Jenny rolled her eyes. "Your friend lied. Sleep is important. It heals the body." Jenny's voice was concerned as it echoed in the unused classroom. "At least go to sleep later. You need to be rested for classes tomorrow."

Jenny inhaled and exhaled, uncomfortably shifting. "...So..."

Kayden smiled, Jenny was definitely still a Brooks, she thought. She had so much concern, and seemed like she couldn't live on the edge a bit.

"So," Kayden said giggling to herself.

Jenny paused to bite her lip. Her mind was blank and ravaged by exhaustion, and she couldn't seem to find a single thing to ask Kayden that she hadn't already. Everything seemed repetitive, especially when a major part of Jenny wanted to impress Kayden. She wanted Kayden to think she was pretty, cool...normal?

"Tonight was indeed a night..." mumbled Jenny. "If you could take it back, would you?"

Jenny certainly would.

Tonight definitely was a non-expected one, Kayden thought.

She looked at Jenny and said very slowly, "You know," a slow smile was appearing across her face as she looked down and said, "I wouldn't." Kayden wouldn't. Everything that had happened was obviously supposed to happen, and there was a reason it did all happen. Everything that seemed to be going wrong, would all be right at the curve of things.

"Really?" said Jenny, arching an eyebrow. "That's unusual. I would think that one would want to take back such a hectic day. In my eyes, at least, today was anything but perfect. And..."

She sighed, rolling over onto the floor and laying her cheek on the floor. "But you're right. I guess everything does happen for a reason..even if the reason is unknown to us."

Kayden was awfully tired, and almost was forcing herself to go back to the Dungeons. Slowly getting up, trying to not to brush Jenny in case she had fallen asleep, Kayden said softly, "I'm going to go get some sleep, then," she said looking down at her, "Depending what time it is."

Jenny nodded, her eyes heavy with sleeplessness. "That sounds like a good idea." Jenny stifled a yawn as she ran her fingers through her platinum blond hair. "It was nice getting to know you tonight."

Jenny smirked, knowing she sounded ridiculous..but she couldn't help but speak the truth.
