| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. The following is a narrative backstory element in the view of Justin Brooks. Behavior and thoughts reflect Justin Brooks and any edits with relation to the other characters should be posted henceforth Justin Brooks, 10 years old It was around Christmas time in London England. The family was getting for the Christmas holiday and the annual tradition of decorating the Christmas tree was going on throughout the house. Justin was not yet the muscular, rather attractive boy that many knew at Hogwarts. At age ten, Justin was rather skinny and scrawny, but was beginning to grow into what his current physique was. Justin was busy in the attic of the house. He was alone, of course, as his sisters were off playing together downstairs near the tree that his father Ryan had retrieved in a mysterious woods that he dared not speak about in front of his family. Justin was going through his old things and toys quietly, browsing for his old toy cauldron that would bubble up magically and shoot out candy if anything was inserted into it. It was dusty in the attic and he had to shake off many boxes just to read what was written on them. "Justin, dear, you better get ready soon. We're going to take a family picture." Justin rolled his eyes. The Christmas family picture. He hated those every year. His sister's and mother's all fussed over each over on the picture. All that was ever chosen for him was another goofy looking sweater and jeans. It wasn't that he actually wanted to be fussed over something like that, but his mother didn't never seemed to care much about what he wore. He shrugged. Perhaps it was for the better. He never wanted to be "mommy's little doll" anyway. He was daddy's son. Football star and Qudditich Chaser for England's finest Qudditich team! He could imagine himself now in front of a million people, scoring the winning goal and winning the cup. He shook the dream out of his head with a smile. Justin climbed down the stairs from the attic and went down to the living room where his sisters and mother were at. His father was still off on his "business trip" as he put it. Justin secretly knew he was just like a muggle "James Bond" and was saving the world from evil mastermind dark magic users. He wished he could just be like his father in a way, but he didn't want to get hurt. That...hurt. "I'm here Mum." He said with a declarement. He looked around at his sisters. They were all dressed up and ready for the picture. His mother shook her head disapprovingly to her son. He was day-dreaming quietly as he was scolding for coming down with dusty clothing. He heard her say something about changing clothing and he went back up the stairs to his room to change. That Christmas was not exactly his favorite Christmas. His sister's practically squealed over his presents, but Justin merely frowned as he received mostly clothing. Looking back, he felt ashamed for being so ungrateful for not accepting the gifts. But the event changed him. That Christmas, something else happened. That's another story to be told...later. |
