| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Fera snuck into the unused classroom, absorbing the calm, lonely aura of the classroom. Just the way she liked it. The voices in her head showed no signs of silenting, but their didn't bother her so much now. Why? Fera wasn't sure. Maybe talking about it did help. Perhaps those doctors weren't so crazy anyway. Still, that they even suggested she ought to go to a shrink? She sighed, people and their ignorance… She laid herself down on a desk, looking up at the roof. As her one arm supported her head, Fera felt almost normal. What a weird feeling. |

Jocelyn stormed into the unused classroom, her yellow hair flowing behind her. She had snuck down to the Slytherin Dungeons and had changed out of her costume into a white shirt and a flowing skirt that was quite too long for Jocelyn's taste. She hastily pulled back her hair into a ponytail and glanced around the classroom. To her dissatisfaction, she wasn't alone. "Uhm, who are you?" Jocelyn asked the girl, standing at the doorway and giving the girl an immensely strange look. Jocelyn crossed her arms and leaned against the wall, just staring at the girl. |

"Do you really want to know?" It was more a sigh than a sentence. "I am Belua. I am the monster. I am what you love to fear. I am the sort of person that makes you feel guilty about nagging about how your own life sucks, because you believe mine must really have gone bad. I am the person you use, then dispose of. I am the monster. I am Belua." The words ached in her mouth, but Fera kept the flom of words. Each one was true, in her mind. |

"I am Belua. I am the monster. I am what you love to fear. I am the sort of person that makes you feel guilty about nagging about how your own life sucks, because you believe mine must really have gone bad. I am the person you use, then dispose of. I am the monster. I am Belua." Jocelyn was taken aback, not so much by the words but by the way the girl spoke. She could tell that this .. girl .. actually meant them. They weren't simply empty words that were said to drive away someone. They were real. A smirk crept onto Jocelyn's face. There was just something about this girl that stood out. Jocelyn couldn't quite comprehend what it was, though. "Well, I'm Jocelyn. Just Jocelyn. I can't provide you with such a thorough introduction as yours, though." Jocelyn suppressed a laugh as she edged closer to the strange girl. She didn't completely trust her, however. A monster? Someone you love to fear? What was this girl talking about? Jocelyn was confused, but she did a good job showing it. As far as she was concerned, this girl didn't know anything about who she was and Jocelyn wanted to keep it that way. |

"Jocelyn... Let me guess, another Slytherin girl helplessly trying to be a ruthless, heartless arsehole, so she isn't left out. You like to think you fit it, but really, once you're alone, you feel left out. You know none of them really care for you. If you stood in their way, you'd be disposed of." Fera laughed to herself, the burning pain not minding her. "Why are you here? To escape the lies you built yourself on? Or did your date dump you, because he saw a more beautiful girl." Fera smiled, not that anyone could see it under her bandages, but she did. "Still, I doubt you like talking about yourself. No one likes having the focus on them, not when it comes to telling stuff that matters to you." Fera leant her head backwards, hearing the soft crackling sound it made. |

Jocelyn's jaw dropped down onto the cold floor. She knew that this girl was telling the truth, but she would never admit it, not even to herself. What was she talking about? How dare she insult Jocelyn in such a way? A thousand thoughts ran into Jocelyn's mind as she simply glared at the girl, her eyes deadly. She had asked for it. "Me? What about you? Sheesh! I try to be nice to you freaks and all you do is insult me. And you're calling me ruthless and heartless?" Jocelyn shook her head, disgusted. She didn't need this right now. She felt as if this strange girl .. if she even was a girl as Jocelyn was beginning to understand why she had referred to herself as a monster .. knew Jocelyn better than she knew herself. It was like the girl knew what Jocelyn felt, what went through her mind. No, that wasn't right. She didn't know the first thing about Jocelyn. No one did. "And I don't try to be ruthless and heartless dear," Jocelyn continued, her voice growing softer and softer to the point where it was barely audible. Jocelyn edged closer to this mysterious girl, close enough so that their noses could tough. "I am ruthless and heartless. And I don't need a freak to tell me that." Jocelyn glared at the girl, her breath hot on the girl's face, her blue eyes penetrating and full of hatred. |

"The four steps. Denial, anger, acceptance... I don't know the fourth, I never got that far." She shrugged, "Freak, hm? I hoped for more creativity... So many words that would work, and you pick freak?" When the girl bent over her, Fera winced. She never liked having people close. "Y'know, I wouldn't be so intrusive if I was you. You never know what a monster might do." With a quick movement with her finger, Fera summoned flames. Not very much, but more than enough to prove her point, and impress. "Now, do you want to have a normal conversation, and maybe learn something, get grilled or leave the room, none the wiser than you came?" |

Jocelyn yelped as the girl mysteriously conjured fire out of thin air. She moved back to her spot against the wall and watched in horror as the flames died down. Jocelyn quickly drew out her wand, but even with her most prized weapon in her hands, she still felt weak and pathetic. She was no match for this ... monster. Jocelyn bit her lower lip apprehensively as she looked the girl over. Who was she? How could she do such amazing things? And why in the world did she call herself a monster? Jocelyn knew that if she berated the strange girl any longer, she probably wouldn't live to do all the things she had ever wanted to do .. for instance, get back at her father. No, she couldn't let this girl take advantage of her. She would actually have to be ... nice. The mere thought made Jocelyn shudder. "Alright then. You proved your point," Jocelyn finally replied, storing away her wand so that the girl would know that she wasn't going to try anything smart. Not that she would even dare, now that she knew what this girl could do. "Let's have a normal conversation then, shall we?" Jocelyn grinned and took a seat on top of the desk next to the girl - but not too close. "Soooo... what exactly makes you a monster?" Jocelyn asked, more out of curiosity than to actually start a conversation. At first, she would have simply laughed if someone told her that they were a monster. If you thought about it, it was actually a very childish thing to say. But now, after seeing what this girl could do, Jocelyn was beginning to think that anything this girl said, she would have to believe ... |

"Perhaps I can say it this way, I used to be a human. Perhaps I was far too arrogant, perhaps I stood out to much, I do not know. Then, a boy I had never done anything to, John Holland, I believe, decided he should change that. I was attacked. I fell to the grounds, but it didn't black out. Instead, I watched the redcaps feast on my blood." Fera voice was beginning to fade, as it did when she talked to much. "I was 'saved' though. A hufflepuff girl got me to the hospital wing, where they tried to fix me. They amputated my eye, and my arm. Then they sewed up the wound in my stomach. I barely looked human." "After that, I don't give a damn if I live or not. I don't give a damn about consequenses. I have nothing to fear, but myself. That makes me a monster. Humanity is being weak, afraid of death, imagining things are better than they are. I don't do that anymore." Fera sighed. |

Jocelyn arched her eyebrows at the girl as she talked, listening to what she had to say with much more attention than she had ever given anyone else in her life. She apprehensively shifted in her seat and gave Fera a strange look. But on the inside, a tiny bit of her felt as if, maybe, this girl was telling the truth. "Wow, you've definitely gone through a lot." Jocelyn finally spoke after the girl was done, her voice soft and hoarse. "But - but, don't you hate it this way?" Jocelyn asked, peering at the girl with small eyes. "I mean, isn't it much easier to fit in with everyone else than stand out and be different, even if that's not who you want to be? I would rather be happy and be a weak, scared human than be a ... monster." Jocelyn raised an eyebrow at the girl and simply shrugged. She didn't know what she was saying; she was merely a typical, arrogant Slytherin who tried way too hard to fit in. And now that she had fit in with that crowd, she was much more happier than she had been when she had been isolated and friendless. Jocelyn recalled when she had first met Tinsley and Constanta; she had enjoyed having friends, having people who seemingly cared about her, who would act as if they actually enjoyed having Jocelyn in their presence. It was a different feeling, a wonderful feeling knowing that you have people who actually care about you... ...But maybe that was just her? |

Fera shrugged, "I knew I'd never fit in again. So why not do what everyone wishes to do, at least sometimes, act completely on impulsives. Never be afraid of what might happen. I know that if someone dares approach me, that they are either very brave, very scared or very mad." It was a twisted laugh. "And, what I just told you is only the tip of the iceberg. But, trust me, you don't want to hear the res-" Fera's voice went into fistel, and she grabbed her head. The voices were screaming like mad now. "I'm SORRY, OKAY?" The whisper was like a madmans, but Fera showed no other signs of madness. |

Jocelyn listened intently to the girl, but didn't even get to reply to her comments before the girl grabbed her head and began screaming. For a moment, Jocelyn was too shocked to do anything but just stand there and stare at the girl, but she quickly snapped back to reality. "Wha - what is it? What's wrong?" Jocelyn stuttered, jumping off of her desk so that she was standing directly in front of the girl. This girl ... what the hell is wrong with her? Jocelyn merely stared at the girl, not able to move. "Be - Belua? Belua?! Oh God, what's happening to you?!" Jocelyn felt like screaming, but when she opened her mouth, no sound came out. Instead, she only stood there and stared at the girl, speechless and not knowing what to do. |

"Just another mistake... But, my fault this time..." It was rushed, and Fera was breathing heavily. Her ears were filled with the screams, FERA! She bit her lip, and thought about a single thing. Concentrated on the black on the insides of her eyelids. The painful screams were slowly stored away. Fera could still hear them, but faintly. "You don't by any chance have something to drink on you? Not with alcohol, though, that would only worsen it." |

What is she talking about? Jocelyn stared at Fera, her eyes rounded. "You don't by any chance have something to drink on you?" Jocelyn slowly shook her head, still shocked at the girl's sudden burst of screaming. She swallowed apprehensively, but stayed standing and didn't move. She couldn't risk anything, now could she? "No, I don't. I could get something from the Great Hall, though. I think the party's still going ...." Jocelyn hated to admit it, but she was beginning to think that maybe coming into the classroom had been a mistake. This girl, this monster, was really beginning to creep Jocelyn out. But still, she didn't leave. There was something interesting about the girl, something new and exotic. Jocelyn couldn't just leave, not now at least. |

"Thats a shame..." Then, the voices silented. Fera froze, and hurried over to the window. "Ah, fullmoon's over. I guess that did have alot to say. Do you know, fullmoons have a tendency to bring out the best of some, and the worst of others?" Fera laughed. "Well, I'm beginning to feel tired, yet, I know I probably won't fall asleep, I rarely do. Now, any last questions, I'll probably never again be in a mood for answers, at least in a very long time." |

Jocelyn stiffened. She was getting sleepier and sleepier by the moment, her piercing blue eyes drooping. It was getting late and the sounds of the happy people in the Great Hall were gradually dying down. "No," Jocelyn answered, simply shaking her head. I've heard enough." She sighed and glanced out the window at the full moon that was slowly fading away in the distance by some clouds. "I guess I'll just leave you with your thoughts then... Goodbye Belua." Jocelyn said, her voice now only a whisper. And with another sigh, Jocelyn left, not knowing why or how, but only that her conversation with Fera had changed her mood for the rest of the night. |
