| Read Today's Daily Prophet: Knights of Walpurgis attack Hogwarts; Belleford steps down as Hogwarts closes until further notice |
| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. "Stanley, naturally I know if one of my students is a werewolf." She commented softly, eyes trained on the wolf. "However, that does not mean I am free to disclose that information." |

Stanley looked at the Headmistress. "With all due respect, Headmistress," he said, "I need to know, for Professor Sneckenberg needs to know who to give the Wolfsbane potion to." He looked at the unraveling battle and shook his head. |

Bannishtar wrestled with the creature, all the while it clawed ever inch of him it could reach. For a split moment, Banni had the upper hand, pinning the werewolf's powerful arms to the ground, though its clawed feet continued to thrash and slash at his sides. "Incarcerous!" Banni looked up to see ropes flying towards him and the creature. Summoning what energy he had left, the centaur leaped away from the werewolf to avoid being bound by the ropes. |

The wolf struggled against her captors, but she was too young; she didn't have the strength to take the centaur down without the element of surprise. She growled, howled, and gnashed her teeth in fury, unable to give up the fight even when she was hit and bound by the Incarcerous spell. She knew that the battle was over, though her animal brain could not think far enough into the future to wonder what was going to happen to her. |

Banni clutched his sides, from where he was bleeding profusely. The pain was greater than any wound inflicted upon him by any creature he'd ever faced in the forest, or the wounds which he had sustained from the beating he received nine years ago for breaking his herd's laws. He tried to step towards where the bound werewolf lay struggling, but sharp lines of pain raced through him--he'd been slashed right through his muscles. The centaur dropped to the ground, splattering the green with drops of dark red. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Firenze and the other centaurs working to lift Orrin's bloody corpse from the ground. The palomino centaur spared him a solitary glance--his expression hard to place. It seemed as though Firenze was somewhat disappointed, or even angry, but at the same time he looked worried for Bannishtar. Then, without a word, Firenze, too, retreated into the dark of the forest. Banni's breathing was slow and labored. For once, he feared for his own well-being. Wounds inflicted by werewolves were slow to heal, even with magic and the healing concoctions of wizards, and meanwhile Bannishtar felt as though his life was being drained from him in a pool of crimson. |

Taylor breathed a sigh of relief when the ropes hit the desired target, but her relief was short lived. Banni was wounded, and the werewolf was sure to break the ropes eventually. Looking around, Taylor spotted Stanely with a syringe (sp?) full of what Taylor hoped to Merlin was wolfsbane. She flicked her wand to summon it and, taking a deep breath, made her way towards the creature. Although the wolf was bound by Incarcerous, it was still dangerous and Taylor walked towards it as slowly as she dared. Finally, she was able to get close enough to be able to inject the potion into the struggling werewolf. Taking care to not get in the way of the flailing claws or teeth, she finally managed it and lept back to wait until the creature regained it's senses. |

The wolf struggled a few more seconds and grunted in annoyance as she felt the syringe pierce her skin. After a moment, she stopped moving and blinked, staring upward at the sky with an almost confused expression on her canine features. She looked around, took in her surroundings, and her ears flattened against her head in shame. She was Constanta once more. Oh, God. What had she done? She whimpered pathetically and tried to curl up in a ball, but found that she was still restrained by the ropes. She let out a defeated huff and went limp, looking sadly at the grass. |

Stanley looked at Constanta as she turned back into a human. "Ms. Lupei," he whispered to himself. He pointed his wand at the ropes that bound her. "Deletrius," he said, and the ropes disappeared. He bent down. "Ms. Lupei, are you okay?" he asked. |

Hugh entered the grounds The Minister stepped through the big oak doors and found himself in the prescence of several of Hogwarts teachers. He stepped towards Bidella, he showed no signs of respect. The woman's visage was scarred. Johnson must have been right, she looks like she had been attacked. "It seems the incident has been calmed" Hugh said, noting the tied up werewolf. However, Hugh was a little worried by the sight of Bannishtar, Hogwart's sole centaur professor and public critic of the latest legislation regarding centaurs, standing over the werewolf. Hugh looked contemptuosly on the centaur before turning back to the Head mistress. "Ministry officials are on their way to do a sweep of the grounds. Your teachers and you will tend to the students inside. My people will take over from here, I will need to talk to you in your office later" Hugh said dismissing the older headmistress. Hugh waited for the ministry officials. |

Belladonna had flooed to one of the great fireplaces inside Hogwarts. She uncomfortably stepped into the Grounds, as they were no place for her expensive heels. She saw the female werewolf on the ground and her lips curled with disgust. "More reason to protect our children, by getting them registered. Parents will withdraw their students from class once this gets into the press." she said cruelly. "Minister," she said, her tone softening. "This is why they need to be contained--I mean, registered, with full Ministry supervision. Before they contaminate the entire Wizarding world." She feigned concern. "They've affected the children--our legacies." said with mock sadness. She was dressed imposingly, her copper-colored cloak, her Coalition Button proudly displayed. It kept switching images of the Minister, and the faces of the head members of the Party. |

Hugh turned as Belladonna flounced onto the ground. Hugh smiled at the sight of her walking uncomfortably across the grounds in her high heels. She insisted on wearing them as she went around the office. Hugh didn't think that they made a difference, though Hugh hid his opinions on that front from Miss Quagmire. She was inticing but an office relationship would do more harm then good, and Hugh didn't need anymore damage to his campaign. It didn't stop him from being tempted. "Too right you are, good day Belladonna. However, I don't think that I can allow this to be printed. Johnson, or any of his reporters are allowed to get wind on this. I have an excellent idea on how to deal with that. However, let us deal with the situation here first" Hugh said. His eye caught Belladonna's coalition badge, a new advertising implement the party was going to use to raise support. All party members will wear it on any outing in public, this means everything from press conferences to a simple shopping trip to the store. Hugh's face flicked to Belladonna's then onto Anton's face. Hugh turned to look Belladonna in the face once more. Trying to communicate for her to remain silent until the Hogwarts professors had left. |

Constanta sighed sadly at Professor Peckle's question. She was utterly humiliated, horrified, and ashamed. She had bitten one of her classmates, probably maimed the poor boy, she had exposed herself, and now she was tied up and at the mercy of the professors and Ministry Officials. Oh, no. She looked pleadingly up at the woman who spoke of containing her. She wasn't fooled by the niceties; they wanted to lock her up so that she wouldn't be a danger to society. She whimpered quietly, wondering how such a wonderful night could have gone so wrong. |

Bidelia bristled as the minister appeared, annoyance clear on her features. She ignored him. Bidelia strode over to the girl lying on the ground and crouched before her, a hand placed comfortingly on her shoulder. "Everything will be fine dear, you'll see." She stood, glancing to the assembled professors. "Taylor, Stanley, if you two would be so kind, get Miss Lupei and Bannishtar up to hospital wing. Apparently I have a conference to attend to." She turned to Banni briefly, "I will go talk to the centaur with you, just tell me when." She commented, before turning back to face the minister. "Your people have no place here Minister. I, and my professors are perfectly capable of handling what goes on in this school. Besides, it seems likely to me, that one of your people, might leak this to the press. Oh, and do control your lapdog, will you?" She commented, before shooting Belladonna a piercing look. "Ms. Quagmire, I will not hear such talk on my grounds, no matter how many layers of sugar you coat it with." |

"My people have every right to be here, with all due respect" Hugh said, though there was clearly zero to very little respect there. Hugh snarled as the Headmistress insulted Belladonna. Belladonna's words often got her into trouble. "You must acknowledge that she has a point head mistress. That student just attacked and maimed another. Aren't you here to protect your students, or are you just here to endanger students by mixing them with werewolves? Oh, two things, I am the Minister of Magic, not one of your students, please do not treat me like one. Secondly, nice scars, are you sure you are still up for this job, the school governors, those who get to make the descision about whether you still have a job, are not so sure any more" Hugh said, his influence extended only to some of the governors, he could potentially have her suspended but it was unlikely that they would fire her. "So, firstly, listen to my orders and do as I say, your job security will be much better. Secondly, do not insult my staff as you may find yourself out of a job" The minister said, it wasn't a threat it was a suggestion. |

Bidelia raised an eyebrow at him. "Anyone who sounds like a student to me, I'll treat like one Minister. I'm aware you are doing your job, however, I still will not tolerate Ms. Quagmires prejudice. Despite being a werewolf, Miss Lupei is one of my valued students. I have a feeling that the student who was attacked is quite capable of taking care of themselves." "I do not keep my students on leases, Minister, because of that, they endanger themselves occasionally, though that is through their own free will." She paused, a wry smile passing over her features. "I feel quite capable of doing my job, thank you, otherwise I would not be here." With a sigh, she glanced to the scene around her. "Once everyone is inside you may sweep the grounds, however useless it may be. After all, the problem has already been resolved." Despicable. Especially Belladonna, though Hugh is bad too... I don't trust either of them near the school. I'd like them gone as soon as possible.... "Shall we head up to my office and talk, Minister?" She asked, pointedly only looking for his response. |

"I wish to be here when the team arrives and watch over the sweeps. I watch over everything" Hugh said, hinting to Bidella that he had read the article on her in the Daily Prophet. "You will not enter into the politics of certain situations, we all know what you think about how werewolves are just humans who should be treated the same as everyone else. I would have thought the actions tonight of this girl would have shown how dangerous werewolves can be" Hugh said, he remained calm. It wouldn't look good if he lost his temper with an old woman. "Now, I believe you were ordered to take your staff into the castle" Hugh said in a final simple insult to the head mistress. "I will talk to you after my team has conducted the sweep of the grounds for anything else" Hugh said, looking around the professors, his eyes lingering on Bannishtar. Hugh turned to Belladonna, "be careful what you say, especially infront of Bidella, you know what she thinks. After all the fuss is over people will see that we were right. Then we can rub it in their faces. Till then we must keep our opinions guarded" Hugh said, as he turned their hands made the slightest of contact. It sent a shiver through the body. Hugh's mind tortured him, his hands wish to explore the form of Belladonna Quagmire, yes, the minister was falling for the woman with the worst reputation in the office, The Ministry Slut. OOC: I'm expecting the team to include Anton, Alphonse and Jacob, who I'm sure would be happy to visit Hogwarts and say hello to their families. Gives the ministry coalition time to rile up a few centaurs as well. |

Belladonna's eye twitched faintly. "Ooh, my, my." she said huskily, a jack-o-lantern-like grin of amusement overtaking her face. "One wonders, who has more of a bite? The werewolf, or the Headmistress." She tapped a lone blood-red fingernail against the side of her face, as if in thought, opening her mouth slightly, her tongue curled upward over her incisiors. She continued. "Any more talk of protecting their kind over your own could make your cushy spot here at Hogwarts quite, precarious Bidelia. Something to keep in mind as you walk the hallowed halls of Hogwarts at night. Now, weren't you ordered to take your staff back in the castle?" The grin had turned itself into a sneer. She turned to Hugh. "I won't have that old bag insulting the work we do at the Ministry. Whether she believes or not, times are changing, and Hogwarts itself isn't becoming the safe-haven that it once was. This student has harmed a professor, infected another, and Merlin knows what else. Even if this whole situation is kept private, there is always someone who slips. That someone could cost you your position--all of our positions. We've got to be prepared, Hugh. Frankly, I don't give a damn about the other jobs lost, so long as you stay in office and I keep my own." she intoned gently, placing her manicured hand upon his shoulder even though she was about a foot shorter than he, even with her expensive heels. |

Stanley, ignoring the Ministry Officials, bent down and picked up Constanta. "Come on, now," he said, helping her to her paws. "You aren't dead. You'll be okay," he said, pulling out his wand. He pointed it at the syringe and muttered Accio, and the syringe flew into his hands. He pulled his cloak up from the ground and held her up and patted her on the shoulder. "You're all right." |

Jacob stepped from the shadows with, of course, a newly lit cigarette fresh in his hand. His eyes darted around, from figure to figure, until he looked away with a blatent look draped across his face and his head almost hanging idly. Taking an extended drag, he held it in for many moments before releasing it in the direction of the minister. "If I may propose a question: how the hell did this happen when both the Headmistress of Hogwarts and the Minister of Magic were in the vicinity of the attack? How was this not avoided when most of the staff knew that it was a full moon and knew, from previous years, that this girl is a werewolf?" Jacob sighed again, taking another drag of the cigarette. "But besides that, who was bit?" Shaking his head, he looked off towards the headmistress. He gave her a blank gaze that suggested boredom, or surprise, or something that asked, "how the f*ck did you allow this to happen"; either way, it was hard to read, as it was blank yet suggestive all at once. |

"Calm yourself Belladonna, it will do us no good and not win us any support if we are to lose our tempers. We must remember that while she may have lost her marbles in the eyes of anyone with a clear view here. She is still a highly respected witch in the greater wizarding community" Hugh said. "Oh, and this will be leaked, I have devised a plan for this. I'll need to send an owl to the Quibbler as soon as possible for this to work" Hugh smiled, his plan was genius. Let the Quibbler have the story first, it will be shown as mythical. Then the Prophet would not touch it, as they would then have to conceed that the Quibbler got the story before them, and that they were covering the same articles as the Quibbler. Hugh turned swiftly when Jacob spoke. He did not hear him appear. "I was completely unaware of the existance of the werewolf, and I was inside when the attacks occured. I came out when I heard the commotion. About the werewolf, I had no idea that a student was a werewolf until tonight, one of the many things I have been unaware of in the goings on at Hogwarts, perhaps it's time I took a greater interest in the students safety and well being" The minister finished as if concluding an announcement to the wizarding community. He could never get that politician out of him. |
