Read Today's Daily Prophet: Knights of Walpurgis attack Hogwarts; Belleford steps down as Hogwarts closes until further notice
Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Hellius sat at the base of the willow tree. The cold air hadn't yet began to phase him even though the formation of many goose bumps had protruded from his skin. Believing Emma to be sleeping, he had closed his eyes and his senses to the night, listening to the rustling of the wind through the tree tops and the crickets that broke the complete eerie silence of the night. His clothes were rustled and covered with bits of broken leaves.

As he heard the noise of a zipper, Hellius took a deep breath and looked over his shoulder to see Emma, standing up, once again in her dress. "I wondered when you were gonna wake up," he said, pushing himself back to his feet. He looked at her for a good while, noticing her discomfort. "Yeah..."

Pausing for a good moment, he calculated everything that just happened, and considering that Emma was uncomfortable, he wasn't sure what to do. "Wanna assume that nothing happened?"

He rubbed the back of his head.

Everything hit Emma at once..in particular, a slight, nagging emptiness in which she realized that she was unsure of who she was anymore. She smiled sadly - she was still eerily comfortable with Hellius. Emma still found it increasingly awe-inspiring that she could know so many negative qualities (although someone forgot to mention the whole heart eating fiasco) about a person and still find a way to accept them. Yet Emma's actions were becoming more and more unpredictable...And if I don't know who I am, then who does?

An eerie silence engulfed the pair, broken only by the occasional gust of wind which rustled the leaves of branches overhead. Emma awkwardly tried to rip some sort of vine out of her blond curls, this time not asking for help.

"Wanna assume that nothing happened?"

Emma found it hard to concentrate on anything in particular, her mind overwhelmed...and in fact, she felt quite foolish now. Her hands shaking, Emma turned away from Hellius for a second, looking through the grass to find her shoes. Emma sighed, her cheeks stinging as though she had been slapped...yet she was determined not to seem upset. Kicking through leaves she finally found her shoes and slipped into them, staying quiet for a few awkward moments before spinning around, her hands limp at her sides.

"Do you?" said Emma, sounding as though she already knew his answer. Em's lip trembled slightly.

Hellius sighed and brushed at his hair for several moments. He began running his palms down on his hair until he lowered to his eyelids, where he began to exert pressure to his eyes in an attempt to relieve stress; because now, he had an odd assortment of anxiety squirmed through his mind. What they just did could of had some serious consequences even though he stopped to make sure that there were close to no chances, and relieved himself elsewhere.

However, Hellius was sure that Emma was absolutely uncomfortable with it as was with her current attitude. He wasn't sure how to make her less stressed out, but some reassurance would've be best.

Pushing off the back of his heel and dropping his arms to his sides once more, Hellius walked up to Emma and pressed the back of his hand to her cheek softly. His eyes penetrated her own, with a significant difference than there was several hours before. They seemed almost to send a message - either one of discernment or support, it wasn't definite. "No. Not really. I just want you to be comfortable and make sure that you aren't freaking out about this; because honestly, I have noticed a different pattern of behavior with you recently. You seem to be... squeamish and resentful."

And she seems paranoid.... The demon laughed, Thorus now chained to a wall in a bright, white room which seemed to blind anyone that looked at it.

"Is something wrong?"

Just then, a deep, inner chill shot through his spine. Removing his backpalm, he drew Emma by the hand and started to lead her back to the castle. "Let's discuss more on the way back. I have a really bad feeling right now."

Dahlia listened to Kane and then spoke,"Don't worry, it's okay. I didn't necessarily want to get into it anyway." She smiled a bit.

Dahlia's magical abilities was something she treasure more then anything. Her father had raised her well on his own, and he taught he everything and more that she needed to know, especially not having a mother to guide her as well. I do love magic, of course, but I would say I have talent. Although, some things have been fairly difficult for me," She bowed her head and played around with her fingers,"Without my mother," still looking down, Dahlia smiled a bit and said,"But my dad made sure I'd turn out just the same as my mother, just as talented as she was."

Looking over at Kane, she said,"If you don't want to stay inside, we could go in," she put her hands through the grass and said,"Or, if you don't want to be with me, you can go inside." Dahlia made immediate eye contact with him trying not to force a smile.

"Is something wrong?"

Emma shivered slightly as Hellius put a hand to her cheek. Placing her on hand upon his, she scanned his face. Unsure of how she was feeling, she couldn't even begin to discern how he was...though as if an answer to her questioning thoughts, he withdrew his hand and led her towards the castle.

"Let's discuss more on the way back. I have a really bad feeling right now."

Emma bit the inside of her cheek. In fact, she was disappointed with herself - yet, raised as a girl without any morals or understand of right and wrong, with no discipline, what did she expect? She needed some champagne. Finally, she seemed to find her voice, though she sensed it was a bad time - it was as though Hellius was preoccupied with getting to the castle as soon as possible.

"I just - I just," said Emma. "I just don't want you to hurt me." She realized she probably should have said that sooner. Or before their little...tryst. "Can you blame me? You're so unpredictable sometimes," Emma bit her lip, but she felt like Hellius wouldn't be too offended. And if he was, then he'd get over it. "So what's stopping you from just, like...never talking to me again?"

Emma felt silly being so paranoid, but she couldn't help herself. Paranoia was the only thing she could feel, especially after Hellius immediately had a "really bad feeling"....and she imagined that his bad feelings usually were a sign of something much more. Her tiny legs struggled to keep up with Hellius, her hands shaking slightly, nervously biting her lip.

It was at that exact moment that he knew what was bothering Emma, and a deep, dark sound that broke through the black of the night brought to his attention the feeling that was bothering him.

A howl.

He stopped in his tracks immediately in his tracks and looked back to where the sound emitted. There was danger in the proximity, yet Hellius could not track where the sound would have come from. It was a call from the darkness itself, and though he had been told to know everything in the dark for darkness was his guide, he couldn't recognize what or where the call came from. Hellius dropped a deep look of hatred across his face and glanced at Emma once before drawing his wand.

"I don't attack. I don't make the first move. I make them give me a reason, then I respond," Hellius answered simply, pointing to the castle with his free hand. "Go. I'll meet up with you later."

Emma's questions hung in the air as she nervously awaited for his reaction - yet the silence between them was broken by a howl. Em's eyes widening, she glanced at Hellius, who seemed to be surveying the darkness. He couldn't be serious? She tried to keep urge him to walk with her mind - which obviously didn't work. He stayed glued to the ground and turned to her.

"I don't attack. I don't make the first move. I make them give me a reason, then I respond," Hellius answered simply, pointing to the castle with his free hand. "Go. I'll meet up with you later." There was something different about him as he held his wand firmly in his hand - and this was the kind of unpredictable thing that Emma was talking about. Em bit her lip, knowing that anything she said would fall on deaf ears, and that she was in danger. Hellius could take care of himself.

"Be careful," said Em, glaring slightly as she realized her questions still went unanswered. Panic still set in - whatever had caused that howl was hiding somewhere, and Em had already experienced enough pain with Fera. "Please."

Emma quickly turned away, quickly hurrying. One of her glass slippers fell from her foot in the process, but she left it behind her as she ran, not bothering at all to look back...not because she was fully concentrated on staring straight ahead, but because she was scared of what she would see behind her. Anxiously, Emma reentered the school.

The Romanian wolf crept along the grounds on all fours; she was faster that way. She constantly sniffed the air, looking for something that would satisfy her palate for that evening. Something, a slight scent on a breeze, entered her sensitive nose and her tail wagged in pleasure. She bounded toward the smell, following her instincts that told her to ready herself for the hunt.

She grew closer to the smell; it was like pheromones, and got stronger with each step forward. It smelled like something in heat. She licked her lips in anticipation and moved closer, sensing the closeness of her prey now. A few more strides of her long, muscled legs and she could see what she hunted. A young man wearing a suit stood in the moonlight by the forest, holding something in his hand.

She pulled her lips back in a fanged smile and took a deep breath. With barely a sound, she launched herself from the cover and bounded toward the human, jumping and sinking her teeth into his forearm.

He tasted just as good as he looked.

In one instance, Hellius was feeling the emanate danger and ready to respond to whatever was coming, but then in the next, the beast was on top of him and already digging into his flesh. The Gryffindor yelled out with a piercing yell which shattered his ears from the sheer sound of it; it seemed doubled, as if two voices were there all at once, yet only one could be heard.

The absolute power of the wolf running into him was enough to knock him down, and he did so, quickly responding to the attack by taking his wand and making the quickest incantation that he knew. This was of Provomo, the Nausea Jinx, and as his wand flicked, so did his voice. As the beam shot from his wand, Hellius jumped to even more primal actions and drew his wand like a knife, shoving it towards the wolf's eye.

He missed, and it went up its nose.

The wolf growled and bit down harder on the boy's arm, shaking her head as she tried to rid the sick feeling that threatened her concentration. She knew it would be a mistake to let him get away, as he was clearly capable of fighting back. She reared up on her hind legs and struck out at him, trying to claw his chest.

She let out a snarl of displeasure and some pain as his wand went up her nose. She shook her head again, trying to rid her snout of the uncomfortable presence. The motion caused her to lose her grip on his arm, but she quickly moved to tower over him in case he had any thoughts of running away.

Bannishtar and the other centaurs followed the sounds of howling and the cries of pain--which caused them to double their efforts to reach the scene quickly--on to the grounds.

Damn, thought Bannishtar, It's near the school! Banni realized then that it was most certainly someone residing within the school--either a teacher or a student.

The creature was hunched over another form. Bann's breath caught when he realized that the werewolf had found a victim.

Behind him, Banni heard the sound of an arrow being drawn. He turned to see one of his own, a large, red-haired, brown-bodied centaur named Orrin. The red-haired centaur readied to fire, his blue eyes locked upon the hulking form of the werewolf.

"Wait!" Banni reached for the Orrin's arm, but he was too late, as the red-haired centaur had already fired. All Banni had succeeded in doing was to throw off the other centaur's aim as he loosed the arrow. The missle sailed passed the creature, who was now certainly aware of the centaurs' presence.

Orrin stepped around Bannishtar, getting into his face.

"What the hell are you doing, Bannishtar?" Orrin snarled, looking both outraged and confused.

((OOC: Now would be a good time to kill Orrin, Stanta.))

The wolf whirled as the arrow passed close to her head and let out a fierce growl. She looked for the closest creature to her so that she could vent her rage and punish the one who dared to attack her. Her yellow eyes focused on Orrin at the front of the pack and she snarled once more.

She took advantage of his distraction with the other centaur to lunge at him, going straight for his neck. Her teeth easily sank deeply into his throat, immediately giving way to a river of blood. The centaur struggled in vain, and his resistance grew weaker as he lost more blood and the wolf tore hungrily at his flesh. At last he stopped moving altogether.

She looked up and bared her teeth menacingly at the rest of the centaurs. Dared them to challenge her.

Kane shook his head. "I'm sorry about your mother, of course I am," he began, "I can't imagine how hard it would be to grow up without a mother. It mustn't have been easy for you." He looked up at the stars and moon. "I wouldn't like to go inside, it's so peaceful out here," he said. "and I wouldn't dream of leaving you. However, if you'd like to go inside with me or without me, that's your choice."

Banni did not get to voice his concern, for as swift as a panther the creature lunged for the red-haired centaur in front of him, clamping its powerful jaws around his neck. Orrin's screams were garbled by the blood that poured from his neck and mouth. Before Banni could react, the red-haired centaur lay in front of him, eviscerated.

The other centaurs raised their bows, but Banni dropped his and rushed the beast, clashing with the creature in a desperate attempt to subdue it. Aside from the wounds themselves, the damage it might inflict didn't pose a threat to Bannishtar--lycanthropy was a human disease, after all.

"SOMEONE GET OUT HERE!" Banni roared at the top of his lungs over the creatures own roars as he struggled with it, "WEREWOLF!"

It was obvious that the werewolf was not fully grown, as it was weak enough physically for Banni to contend with--which meant of course that it had to be a student, transformed by the light of the full moon. Banni was afraid to injure it, but he knew he had no choice when he kicked its legs out from under it to force the creature to the ground.

Stanley ran out onto the Grounds, his wand at the ready. He saw that Bannishtar was being attacked by a werewolf, most likely a student, as he could fend it off, and that Hellius was down on the ground, injured. "Bannishtar!" he yelled. "I'm here! I'll tend to Mr. Surla!"

Stanley rushed over to Hellius, and checked to see that his blood was still flowing. "Good, still alive," he breathed to himself. "Hang in there, Mr. Surla. I'll have you in the Hospital Wing in no time!" Stanley picked up Hellius by the neck and legs and struggled to keep him up. After a small struggle, Stanley fell. "I'll not be able to do this like I used to..." he said. "Locomotor Corpus." As he pointed his wand at Hellius, he began to rise in the air. He kept the student close to him as he went to the Hospital Wing.

Taylor hurried down the stairs into the Entrance Hall-she was supposed to be chaperoning the Dance that night and was late. She was about to walk into the Great Hall when she noticed some odd noises comming from outside and saw Stanley race past her.

"SOMEONE GET OUT HERE! WEREWOLF!"

Taylor's heart skipped a beat. werewolf? here? However, she didn't allow herself to linger on the thought for long. Before she could think about what she was doing, the Hufflepuff witch was racing across the grounds wand drawn.

Taylor's stomach lurched at the scene before her. A dead centaur was lying on the ground a few feet away and Stanely was tending to someone-a student it seemed. Banni was wrestling the creature. Biting her lip and hoping that she would hit the werewolf and not Banni, Taylor raised her wand.

Incarcerous!

Ropes flew from the end of Taylor's wand flew towards the centaur and werewofl...

Naturally, Hell to contend with as soon as I return. Bidelia thought as she emerged onto the grounds. Having just returned from St. Mungos, the woman was still weak. However, this was one of her students, and there was no way she was going to allow more disaster to befall her school.

The woman had had the intention of trapping the wolf in a ring of fire, however at the moment Bannishtar was too close to her. She could only hope Taylor's spell would hit the proper target.

If they hit Bannishtar, we'll have to act quickly. Miss Lupei only needs a second of immobility from him...

Dahlia raised her head in the thought of her mother, although wanting to quickly change it. "My dad is my worl.."

Dahlia saw and heard several teachers running and making a chaotic entrance. She spun around to face where they were all going and heard the word, loud and clear, "WEREWOLF". Dahlia panicked, figuring she and Kane were in danger.

"I'm here! I'll tend to Mr. Surla!"

Dahlia grabbed Kane's hand, standing up she said, "Oh my goodness, Kane we have to get out of here."She pulled on Kane's hand and ran into the castle.
