| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Fifth Year

While everyone was stressing about their first day back at school, I was sitting back and watching the sparks fly. Nothing says "welcome back" like a mysteriously missing headmistress, several missing professors, and a near-fatal attack. It seems like more and more Hogwarts is looking like a battle field rather than a school. Do we even need to go into what happened last year? Anyway, before, it seemed like the perfect place for children to remain safe and healthy - albeit there was always the occasional prophecy/Slytherin/Red Cap getting in the way. Now you can't even walk outside without ducking because of two people dueling in the sky. And can we say hormones? Good thing the Prophet advertises for all these sorts of issues - does the word "dragonsize" ring a bell with anyone? On a more serious note, several fights have broken out this year, sending Slytherin straight to the back of the pack with the least house points - although we could have seen that coming. It's like an endless battle - chill, kids, and focus on what really matters. Not showing up the Sparks Report! With the increasing tension amongst houses comes good anticipation for Quidditch season - Tristan Nightshade, captain of the Ravenclaw team, is no doubt praised - I've heard Tinsley Carmicheal call him several things, the nicest of which is the Vanilla Thunder from Down Under (is that a compliment?). However, Thunder will have stiff competition from his main squeeze Addie Lumineux and Slytherin Ella Collins. The odds seem to be against Slytherin, though word is that a female Slytherin will be commentating most of the games. Also adding a new twist to the old tradition of Quidditch comes the organization of cheerleading squads (my IQ is dropping just saying that) with Gryffindor leading the trend and Slytherin quickly scrambling to follow: expect Gryffindors Rayanne Garner and Laurel Luther to supply good competition for Precious Hindert, co captain of the Slytherin squad - and everyone doubts that they'll be able to one up the fantastic Hufflepuff Hotties who will no doubt be rooting for the beater, Lola Dior, and the gorgeous seeker Katriane Quicompoix (the Ravenclaws must have been too busy studying to organize anything properly). As if the boys needed ANY MORE REASONS to stare at the girls. Speaking of Tinsley Carmicheal, there have been several whispers around the school. Just at the beginning of the year, she was brutally attacked. The details were unclear at the time and still are quite foggy. What is even more puzzling is the fact that no one was punished in this scandal - it was seemingly swept under the rug while half the school saw the fourth year girl nearly bleed to death in the arms of Bannishtar. What on earth happened? We landed an exclusive interview with Kayden Slayer, who was right there on the night of Tinsley's attack and actually helped Tinsley to safety. Q: Kayden, how did you find Tinsley that night? A: Well, I was outside, just getting some air for myself, When Ian de Ponte du Lac came outside near me. We were just about to engage in conversation when we both heard a scream. Getting worried, we both ran over to the scene and saw exactly what was happening, an attack. Q: Did she tell you how she was hurt? A: No, she didn't tell me how she was hurt. I didn't know exactly where she was hurt either, I just knew she was hurt. Q: Why do you suspose someone would want to hurt her? A: I wouldn't have a faint idea of why she was hurt. Q: Why do you think there is a sudden increase in violence involving students? A: I'm not sure, all I know is I haven't been involved on between every student. Q: Do you have any suggestions on how to stop this? A: I don't have any suggestions, and I don't necessarily think it would be right to state my suggestion, because if it was me being attacked, I would most definitely be willing to fight back. Q: And finally, do you have anything to say to Tinsley? A: I don't have anything to say to Tinsley. I'm going to go see her myself, where I can talk to her, by myself, not publicly. Needless to say Kayden didn't give me what I wanted to hear, and I was annoyed. How could I break any life altering story if no one was going to give me any juice? Even with the added tension in the school, children are still finding new and creative outlets in which to get out some of their "energy" - leading the pack with new innovative ideas is the adorable Xander Johnson and his new band. Sure, some strings are being pulled, ends being tied together, but the new band is bound to be successful, especially with moi being the vocalist. With fellow Ravenclaw Mike Endicott leading this new trend, what do their classmates have to say about the whole circus? Emma Gray, another fourth year Ravenclaw and Xander's ex girlfriend, was quoted as saying, "I guess they'll be okay..." though sounding doubtful. So, there are generally mixed feelings throughout the school - something it must be used to. Hope it doesn't spark anymore fights (or do I.....?). All I have to say on the matter is that I hope Xander's a good dancer - he'll be my date to the Halloween party. Who's your date? Or...dates? xoxo, Violet Sparks |
