| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Jayceon wondered where to go and decided that the empty classroom on the ground floor was the best option as most teachers did not check there. He opened the door and stepped inside, turning back to see if Summer wanted to go in there. Jayceon knew most places teachers didn't check. And he was a wizz at muflato charms. "In here OK Summer?" He asked grinning. |

Summer followed Jay into the unused classroom and grinned. "This is perfect," she said, nodding. Summer had been in the unused classroom what seemed like a million times and it was one of her favorite places in the castle. Well, her favorite place outside of the castle was the Quidditch Pitch, but you couldn't really make costumes there, right? Summer stepped into the empty classroom and almost automatically a thousand memories flooded into her mind. She smiled to herself and hopped onto a desk. Just as she was about to ask Jayceon if he had his costume ready yet, the bell abruptly rang. Summer smirked. "I hope you don't mind skipping class," she said, hoping he wouldn't. Summer herself wasn't so good at making things - like costumes - but she sure was better at it than she was at spell-casting, essay writing and all that jazz. Definitely. |

Jay laughed as he closed the door. "mind skipping class? I have no problem with it whatsoever," He sat on the desk opposite to Summer and pulled out his wand. "Chellie won't mind me summoning her storage stuff, I'll explain it all to her later. Although, saying that, can't predict her mood what with our cousin Catalina showing up," he raised his eyebrows in contemplation. "I have to admit, none of the family told me that Miss America was coming to Hogwarts," he laughed now realising he was twittering on like his father did when confused. "Sorry," he apologised. "I'll summon the stuff," he waved his wand and said, "Accio Chelsea's costume making kit!" |

Summer grinned. Good, she thought. Because I have no intention whatsoever of going to History of Magic today. Summer jumped off of her desk as Jayceon summoned a large, costume-making kit. Summer's jaw dropped. "Wow! This stuff is amazing," she exclaimed. "Chelsea always was the creative one," Summer giggled. Then she recalled something Jayceon had said earlier. "You're Chelsea's cousin, huh? How come you all and - Catalina, I think you said - all coming here to Hogwarts in the middle of fourth year?" she asked curiously. |

He was leased most of the stuff was still in the box of Chelsea's. "I have no idea why Catalina's here this year," Jayeon grinned at Summer, pulling out some black velvet and holding it up. "I started at the beginning of fourth year because, well," he wasn't sure how to approach this question. He had an unusually strange urge to tell Summer the truth. But that would mean you're opening up to someone his head told him. So he opted for part of the truth instead. "I attended a magical school inKenya, that's where I was born until the end of my 3RD year. My father works a lot and felt I was getting out of contro. So, he thought it'd be a great idea to mve to England so my Auntie, Chelsea's mum could keep an eye on me while he was working. I began at the beginning of this term and here I am!" He raised his arms in a gesture of grandure and laughed heartily. He decided to leave out his father's reasoning for Jayceon's bad behaviour and what he did exactly that pushed his father to his final decision. "So, the black velve could make an excellent tunic for Pirate Summer! arrrrrgh!" He did another terrible pirate impression and laughed. |

Summer nodded understandably. "Ohh. Alrighty! Well, I'm glad you decided to come here." Summer smiled warmly and then turned to the black velvet Jayceon was pointing out. "Oooh, you're right! It would!" Summer laughed heartily alongside Jayceon at his horrible pirate impression. |

Jaycen draped it over her and wrapped it like a cloak. "Definitiely!" He announced, whipping it away. "With gold trimming around the neckline and hem, oo and a lion in red and gold on the back," He smirked. "Represent Gryffindor as a pirate," He pulled his wand out again. "Accio costume!" With one swish of the wand his costume flew into the room. He held it up and showed Summer the hat with a Ravenclaw Eagle in blue and Bronze sat upon the brim. "I thought it was funny, Chellie said it was weird! But what does she know? She still won't tell me what she's going as." He put his costume down. "Summer," He addressed a serious tone now. "I think you should wear a black veil, in remnence of a pirate queen. It'd be cool! Or at least a head dress". He sat on the chair nearest him, put his hands in his lap. "But it is, of course your costume, your choice!" He looked at her with a grinon his face. Not many people knew of Jay's creative and wacky side. he rarely showed it to anyone except when pranking or teasing someone. |

Summer giggled at the black velvet that he had wrapped around her like a cloak. When Jayceon summoned his own costume, she eyed it in awe. "I don't think it's weird at all, Jay! It's actually a brilliant idea!" Summer exclaimed, beaming at Jayceon. She was actually quite surprised that at this creative and...well, wacky side. She had never seen it before and she was sure that she herself didn't have that kind of talent. "You know, at a first glance, no one would realize you're actually a really creative person," Summer said, cocking her head to one side. "I mean, you have all these awesome ideas! Like, a pirate queen? How cool is that!" Summer grinned and jumped up and down excitedly. "So, how about we put all your ideas together and make one awesome pirate costume!" Summer drew out her wand. "Just tell me what to do, and I'll do it. But I have to warn you, though. I'm not very good with a wand...I can't be held responsible for any mishaps..." Summer said gravely. |

"Thanks, Summer," He felt a rush of pride having her comment positively on his creative abilities. Most people his age would think them to be boring and quitegeeky. "I just seem to come up with them," He stood up and pulled out his own wand. "I'm sure your magic abilities are more than fine. Now, Let's start with the hardest part of your costume. Making your tunic just right. Let me see," He pulled the velvet straight and smiled. "OK, I guess I need to measure you. so let's do what Madame Malkin does and measure you first." He pulled a tape measure from Chelsea's kit and pointed his wand at the tape measure. It sprang into action and started measuring Summer. Soon, scissors were cutting the material. He arranged it on Summer and grinned. "Seems to be about right. Now, we need to stitch it. What do you think you'd be better at?" He unerstood she wasn't confident with her magic and so didn't want to put pressure on her but wanted her to have a good experience with making her own costume. "Stitching the tunic with the wand or making your lion to put on the back?" He smiled warmly at her, enjoying helping her make this awesome cstume! |

Summer couldn't help but smile as Jayceon got to work with all his costume-making tools. It made her happy that someone out there - someone she had only just met, in this case - actually cared about something like a costume for her that would probably only be used this one night. She was proud of herself; she had gone from depressed to unexplainably happy in only a couple of minutes. Maybe I'm healing now. Maybe soon I'll be able to go back to my cheerful, bubbly old self. 24/7. "I'm sorry I can't be more help," Summer told Jayceon bitterly. "I never have been good at all this creativity/making stuff jazz. I guess it has to come from inside." Summer smiled warmly down at Jayceon. "Come to think of it, I'm not very good at anything..." Summer bit her lower lip and sighed before chuckling. "So, how about I make the lion to put on my back? That sounds like fun," Summer said, grabbing some fancy-looking cloth and a pair of scissors. |

Jayceon stood up straight. Standing at 6,4 he was incredibly tall for his age. He grinned at her broadly. "And it will be the best lion ever!" He began stitching the velvet with his wand, making a few mistakes here and there. He liked creating ideas but rarely carried them out. He had started stitching on a golden strip at the bottom when he looked up and smiled at Summer. she looked very pretty sitting there, concentrating on what she was doing. "How's it going miss griff?" he gave a little stretch as he moved his legs that had become stiff from sitting in one position for so long. |

Summer watched in awe as Jayceon stood up. Her jaw dropped. He was amazingly tall for his age. Compared to Summer, who was a mere 5' 3'', he was a giant! Summer went back to working on her lion and concentrated. She wanted to impress Jayceon and she also wanted to make him happy, as he was helping her with all this. Shoving her reddish-brown hair out of her eyes, she hopped back onto her desk and continued working, concentrating hard. Once she was done, she held the lion in front of her and admired it. It wasn't perfect - in fact it was a bit lopsided - but it would work. "There, that'll work," Summer said, putting the lion aside and turning to Jayceon who was working on her tunic. "Need any help?" she asked, stretching her arms out. |

Jayceon looked at the lion. it was excellent in detail and he lay her finised tunic upon the desk and put the lion on the back and muttered a gluing encantation. The lion stuck. "OK, we need to make you a veil of some sort with a head dress. Let's see," He pulled the box toward him and found some black lace with golden thread woven into it. "Perfect!" He held it up. "What do you thin to this for your veil? The only question is, what to'''" as he wondered what to use fr the headdress, he spotted a sparkling object in the corner of the huge box. "Here!" He pulled out a gold tiarra. "Summer, this is perfect for your costume! Maybe if we find s red sequens or something to glue to it, gue the lace to te tiara, think that might work for you?" he was having the most fun since he'd been in England. The last time he had felt this happy had been two years ago when his mum had come to watch him play quidditch. No sad thoughts Jayceon, you'rehaving fun! He scolded himself. |

Summer took the finished tunic in her hands and smiled. "This is brilliant, Jay!" she exclaimed, setting down the tunic. She merely listened as Jayceon suggested different costume ideas. She wished she could be more helpful, but brushed off the thought. She was having fun and so was Jayceon. That was all that mattered. "You know what? I'm sure all your ideas would be perfect! You really are a creative guy, Jayceon. Not a lot of guys are like that," Summer commented, smiling at the boy. "No wonder you're in Ravenclaw!" Summer beamed once again; she couldn't take her eyes off of Jayceon. Snap out of it, Sum. You like John, remember? Summer scolded herself and hesitantly turned back to the costume. Nonetheless, her eyes couldn't help but wander back to Jayceon who was boldly experimenting with different sequins. "This is going to be the greatest costume ever!" Summer squealed, agreeing to all of the wonderful ideas Jayceon was coming up with. "I can't wait until it's finished!" Summer squealed again and couldn't help but excitedly jump up and down. She was restless with excitement. |

Jayceon magically glued the tiara to the black and gold lace that now looked like a beautiful headdress, fixed the last of the ruby like sequens to the edge of the tiara, cast a glitter spell over the tiara which gave it a shimmer and set it aside, grinning. "Thank you summer for your kind words but really, its probably down to having so many cousinswho lov to dress up, you pick up a few tips along the way," He smile modestly. "Now," His eyebrows furroed in thought giving off the serious and brooding look that most girls found irresistable. On this occasion, he wasn't doing it on purpose but both his extreme serious look and his joyful expressions, usually made him look at his best. Those two expressions brought out his handsome features. His chocolate chip coloured eyes glowed with a warmth to them as he looked at Summer. "What else does a pirate queen need? Ah, velvet boots or shoes. Do you have any we can put velvet over, with a temporary gluing charm, it will wear off after 24 hours?" he suggested, not having any other idea how he could complete her costume with no suitable footwear. |

Summer couldn't help but stare at Jayceon, her mouth forming an uncontrollable smile. Summer wasn't one to easily be charmed by a boy's good looks, but she couldn't help it this time. There was something about Jayceon that glowed. He knew when to be serious and when to joke around and those two qualities were the features that brought out his handsomeness. Summer was so focused on admiring Jayceon's good looks, she almost didn't hear him speak to her. "Oh, uhm, yeah!" Summer said abruptly, still smiling sheepishly at Jayceon. She only had heard half of what Jay had told her, so she decided to respond based on what she had heard. "I know what you mean. If my sister Katie hadn't been such an amazing Quidditch player, I probably wouldn't have even made it onto the team this year. Hell, I wouldn't have even known how to play Quidditch without Katie!" Summer exclaimed, recalling just how much of her life she owed to her sister. She almost added, "If it wasn't for Katie, I wouldn't even be here today," but stopped herself in the nick of time. Stop it Summer! That would be just like pouring your heart out onto someone you've just met! Summer restrained herself; besides, she absolutely hated talking about her feelings. That's only because you don't have any practice. Summer finally snapped back to reality. She shook her head and scolded herself. You're having the time of your life with an amazingly cute guy. Don't ruin this!" she told herself. "That's actually a good idea! Uhm...I don't really have any shoes on me right now. Hmm...would these work?" Summer lifted up her robes and pointed to the rusty doc martens she was currently wearing. Sure, they were a little old, but they would probably work. |

"I'm sure you would have gotten onto Gryffindor's team, even if it hadn't been for your sister," Jay smiled gently. "I love to pay quiddtch, flying on a broom is the best feeling in the world," He grinned as she told him she only had the shoes on her feet and showed him the doc Martins. "They'll do perfectly, summer," He took some of the black velvet from the box and knelt on the floor. He put the velvet to the shoe and glued the black, soft material to the hard leather with the temporary gluing charm. He trimmed the edges away and added some gold sprinkles to the shoe. He backed away to let her see his handy work. As he looked up into her warm face, he felt a smile grow across his own. She was very pretty, he had noticed that before of course but he realised how pretty as he knelt before her. The way her red/brown hair fell into her face so beautifully. He caught his breath and shook off the feeling. You can't get into a girl, Jayceon! You just can't! "What do you think?" He adopted his cool, calm and collected smile. |

Summer nodded eagerly. "I agree. It is the best feeling in the world," Summer commented softly, thinking of how wonderful it felt to fly high above the rest of the world. She was glad that they had found something in common. Maybe now she wouldn't feel like a huge fool compared to Jayceon. Summer felt her cheeks become red as she glanced at Jayceon for what seemed like the millionth time. No. Stop it! He told you himself he doesn't want to date someone. And anyways, why would he be interested in someone as worthless as you? Summer couldn't help it; the disappointing thoughts flooded into her mind with no explanation. It was as if someone else had said them; a voice in the inside of her mind telling her to stay away. "If you don't get close, you'll never get hurt." Her mother's words uncontrollably floated into Summer's mind. Her mother. The woman Summer had once looked up to, before she had turned so...workaholic. Summer knew why her mother had told her that so many times. It was because of her father, the person who her mother still loved, even after all these years. Even after he had broken her heart. Summer gulped; why did she always think about the same thing? Wasn't it better to love and lose than to never have loved at all? Or maybe it was better to play it safe...the way she had been playing it all these years. Summer turned back to Jayceon and smiled. God, he's so cute! Summer heaved a long sigh before replying. "It's perfect, of course!" she exclaimed, her voice calm and happy. As if nothing had even happened. But so much had. |

Jayceon watched her eager raction to the velvet boot he had just created. He was pleased she liked it. She looked at him and her cheeks turned red, he smiled gently. Summer wasn't like any other girl he had met before in his life. She wasn't falling all over him, she was able to talk to him like a eal human being not some "cute guy" they wanted to be seen with. at his old school, the girls clamourd to be near him being a quidditch star and the girls here liked to be seen to know him too. Summer wasn't like that. as he watched her, she looked as though the weight of the world was upon her shoulders and a million bad feelings were surging through her heart as she sat there quietly. He began to fix the velvet to the other Doc martin and smiled up at her. "Are you OK, Summer?" He rested his big hand on her arm as he spoke. He realised at that moment that he wasn't acting with Summer as he usually did with girls. He gulped, waiting for her response and trying to hold it together. |

Summer flinched as Jayceon put his hand on her shoulder; she looked up at the tall guy and saw him smiling warmly down at her. Despite the bad memories that had been flowing through her mind, Summer couldn't help but smile. Maybe he does really care about me... "Oh don't worry about me. I'm fine!" Summer replied weakly. She couldn't stop smiling at Jayceon, even as she turned back to the velvet boots in his hands. "So," she said, her voice once again containing the energy and perkiness it usually did. "I think we're done here, don't you think?" Summer looked at her finished costume. It was gorgeous and unique; no doubt that nobody at the party would have anything even like it. |
