Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? And she was sure Tinsley would get a huge laugh out of the Tucker ordeal. Turning her whole body to face Tinsley, Kayden began to spoke,"Well after we got a teacher to take you from, well .. after what had happened, this guy found me and saw I had your blood on me, so he figured it was mine. It was some Puff, his name was Tucker, and he said he was some sort of a nurse? Or assistant? Whichever, I didn't know. So then he took me to get me cleaned up and completely began to knock boots with me. I didn't want it, he threw himself at me. I left and had some time alone with myself in the astronomy tower," that's where Kayden ended it, or so she thought she was going to end it,"That's when Julian came up. I didn't know how it happened but we were there together for awhile." Kayden looked over at Violet so try and change the subject, because she didn't quite want to talk about the events of last night.

Wasn't Tinsley JUST talking with Jordan about how no one would ever find Kayden attractive? And now she was knocking boots with boys (..not sure what that meant) and running around on the arm of Julian Kahn?! He could do better. He could do much, much better...like Tinsley! Tinsley was aching to scream, She's just a knockoff version of ME! But she hid her inner anguish. Instead, she arched an eyebrow. So now Kayden would have to be a friend...perfect. Tinsley hated her...ugh. "Really? Wow, Kayden, I'm impressed." More like shocked. But okay. Tinsley smirked. "So what. Are you and Julian dating now?" Wait until Jordan heard about THIS one.

Summer arched an eyebrow; the girl looked a bit sympathetic towards Summer's more than obvious state of mind which was what confused her. This was a Slytherin, a Gryffindor's immediate rival. Nevertheless, when the girl ordered Summer to duel her, she softened a bit and all suspicions erased from her mind. However, her suspiciousness was replaced by another feeling: fear. "Uhm, I - I, er..." Summer stuttered, not really knowing what to say. She didn't even know how to properly duel and this girl looked tough. Summer knew if she were to say yes, she would be shredded to smithereens. No doubt about it. Say no, say no. You can't duel. You'll die. Summer forced out a smile and stiffened her grip on her wand. "Sure," she heard herself say. She also saw herself walk over to the dueling ring and watched as she motioned for the Slytherin girl to come over as well. This is not going to turn out well...

It sounded to right to be wrong. Kayden didn't want to think about it anymore so she changed the subject,"You're definitely going to the party tonight, right?" She was almost positive it would have been a yes unless a nurse was going to strap her down and not let her leave.

Tinsley was sure that Julian was the type of boy to have a lot of those flings - where the girl would cling to him like static and socks and he'd run as fast as possible in the other direction. But, still...the fact that he had even spent time with her made Tinsley smirk...now, T would feel obligated to be nice to Kayden to avoid anything... Ugh! "I wouldn't miss the party for the world. Trust me." Tinsley yawned. "Just look at me, sneaking out under Nurse Larter's nose." T scoffed. The nurses really were clueless. She didn't owe them anything - it was Bannishtar she owed. She wondered quietly if she should maybe stop by...thank him...but she stopped immediately. What would her friends think?

She could just imagine how she looked to a scared Gryffindor: a confident Slytherin, ready to curse her head off in a duel. Stanta didn't plan to do that; she planned to win, of course, but she would minimise injury to the poor girl. She looked to be in a bad enough state anyway. She followed her to the ring and stepped into it. She took her position on the opposite side of the platform and smiled. "Ready?"

Tinsley glared at Hellius from across the room -think about the revenge I'll get and calm down...calm down... - before remembering something. "Where's Ian?" said Tinsley suddenly.

Tough enough to injure Summer greatly. Summer took a deep breath, but it didn't help. She still felt shaky. No, shaky was an understatement. She felt down right terrified. Suddenly she wished she hadn't said yes. It would've been so much easier to just sit alone at her desk and do nothing. But what was done had been done. She had said yes and, at the moment, she felt as if saying yes was to dying. Summer didn't know what to do. Was she supposed to curse the girl immediately or were they supposed to do some sort of special procedure to start out? Hesitating, Summer gripped her wand. It was her only protection and the best one she had come upon yet. She decided she would let the Slytherin make the first move and follow.

I'll try to make my spells simple, not too scary, she thought with just a hint of humour. She arched a brow and bowed, then readied herself. Taking a deep breath, she said, "Expelliarmus!"

A breeze of terror drifted through her body; her wand was her most prized possession. It was her weapon and without it she couldn't do anything. That was when the cold reality hit her: without her wand, Summer was nothing. "No!" Summer growled as she watched her wand drop near the Slytherin's feet. Hesitantly, Summer stumbled towards the girl and bent down, praying the girl wouldn't try and curse her while she was retrieving her wand. Making it fast so the girl wouldn't notice, Summer reached for her wand and grabbed it.

She swirled it around and muttered, "Petrificus Totalus." Again, she felt sorry or her opponent; clearly she hadn't had a chance of winning the duel the moment they stepped into the ring. Constanta would use the easiest spells she could think of to finish her off.

Her legs snapped together and her arms stuck by her sides. She couldn't move a muscle, except for her eyes which lingered on Constanta for a moment before helplessly focusing on the floor in front of her. I should have seen this coming. I'm never going to result as anything in the wizarding world. Why, oh why, did I even come to Hogwarts in the first place? Summer felt her eyes moisten; she couldn't try and stop herself. The tears came almost instantly and were as silent as the girl who was shedding them. Summer prayed Constanta wouldn't see her tear up. She's probably thinking what a sore loser I am, Summer thought helplessly, her mind the only part of her that was actually doing something productive. Then again, if it were doing something productive, it wouldn't be telling her eyes to cry. It would be trying to figure out a way to stop being petrified.

"Finite," she said quietly. The girl's limbs became less stiff, and she was able to move again. Stanta leaned down and grabbed the girl's hand, pulling her up from the ground and guiding her out of the duelling ring. "I'm sorry you had to go through that," she whispered.

"I don't know where he is," she said ,"I wasn't in class first period, so I couldn't tell you if he was there or not." Hm, was Ian with Julian?

Taking Constanta's hand, Summer stood up and stared down at her feet, clearly both ashamed and humiliated. She hated herself, even more now, for letting a stupid - and fairly simple - curse control her emotions. It was silly and she knew it. Then why had she let it happen? "No, no. It's really my fault. I don't know what got into me, I'm not usually this...emotional." Summer forced a chuckle out of herself. It was true, she usually wasn't this depressing. In fact, she was usually always had a positive and joyful outlook on...actually everything. Summer herself was confused at her suddenly saddened attitude, but did a fairly good job hiding it. "Well, congratulations! You won fair and square," Summer declared, smiling at Constanta. It was strange; most Slytherins probably would've just left Summer crying and petrified on the floor. But this girl was different; she was actually being polite, even kind to Summer. It confused Summer, but made her feel a bit happier.

She glared at the girl and with a sigh raised from her seat. "This class is pointless." Smirking, she took one last glance at Hellius before she said without bothering to lower her voice, "I'm sure we'll talk later. I have plenty of ideas. One word. Begins with an R and ends in an evenge. Ciao." With another withering glare Tinsley stomped out of the class. Sure, it felt nice to get some fresh air .. but Hellius still have her the chills. And she was much warmer in her bed in the Hospital Wing...

Turning to Vi, Kayden said,"Wow, you're sure the conversationalist aren't ya?" with a chuckle she gave her a friendly elbow in the ribs.
