Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

With a look of disgust etched across his face, Julian walked in and sat down. Ian was surprised to see him here, as he'd thought the boy had dropped Divination.

"Any word on Tinsley yet?" he asked.

"I think she's fine," said Ian quietly. He still felt guilty over having abandoned her to chase Hellius, "I haven't gone to see her, but I think Jordan's been with her all morning."

Yeah, you haven't gone to see her yet because you were to busy sucking face with a halfblood, he thought, feeling yet another pang of guilt.

Ian looked up for a moment, feeling as though he was being watched. He saw Lola just as she looked away from him.

Speak of the devil, he thought. Ian meant to look away, but had to double take when he saw Constanta walking over to her.

What the hell is she doing?

It seemed as though she was talking to Lola--talking, and right in front of Julian, himself, and Jocelyn!

Suddenly, Ian stood up and walked around while attempting to appear as natural as possible, situating himself so as to block Lola and Constanta from view. They were quite far away, on the other side of the clearing in fact, so maybe the others wouldn't notice.

"So!" he said quickly, "Do you want to visit her after class?"

Constanta nodded in understanding. She had been a bit upset at Ian's comments, too, but was trying to keep her mind off of it. She was still very much hoping that he had just been putting on a show of Slytherinness, but it was hard to tell. She leaned her hand on her chin and sighed. "What Ian said was awful. You'd probably better keep away from him for a while," she suggested.

She noticed Ian himself get up and sit with his back facing them, directly in the other Slytherins' lines of vision. She was a bit puzzled by this, but ignored it. Vaguely she wondered what he was thinking.

Lola watched Ian, it seemed he was trying to not let anyone see that Constanta was speaking to her. She rolled her eyes in annoyance. What a twit. She thought, biting her lip knowing she liked him, either way. She turned her attention to Constanta.

"I think he's just trying to hide the fact that you're speaking to me. You know, he's a prick like that." she said, her words stinging her mouth as they stumbled out. This is how it's going to be. She sighed softly.

"You'd probably better keep away from him for a while,"

Lola wanted to grin, but couldn't let herself. If only she knew. She nodded. "I think that would be a good idea. Not like I'd mind doing so, anyways." she lied and chuckled a bit. She bit her lip nervoulsy, she hoped Constanta hadn't noticed anything... odd... about Ian and Lola's 'argument.'

Constanta's mouth fell open and she glanced over her shoulder at Ian. Lola seemed to be right, now that she thought about it; it looked like he was blocking her from their view. She scoffed and turned back to the Hufflepuff. "Probably doing me a favour, I suppose. It's always a bad idea to get on their bad sides."

She nodded in agreement. Lola probably would have no problem in avoiding Ian. Hufflepuffs, as a general rule, did not get along with Slytherins. That was just how it was. But then she wondered what she was doing talking to one of them. "I would have expected you to mind a Slytherin talking to you. Why don't you?"

Lola shrugged.

"That's for sure, I don't think you'd want anyone from your house disliking you." she cringed remembering her 'fight' with Beau. "Oh? Well..." she hadn't expected that question. Why didn't she mind it? Was it because of Ian? She bit her lip.

"I think I don't mind because I'm sort of used to it. Whether it's arguing," shel ooked at Julian and then Ian, "...or just normal talking." she looked at Ella "I don't discriminate against houses." she said, laughing a bit.

"I'm guessing you don't, either." she said, smirking.

Constanta laughed and shrugged. "No, I suppose I don't. I gravitate toward the Slytherins because they're my house, and Tinsley really is a good friend," she said, hoping that Lola believed her. Regardless of how Slytherin Tinsley could be, she was a good and loyal friend. "House stereotypes are a bit annoying, though. Because they're definitely not true for all of us."

She glanced back at her usual crowd again. "Why were you and Ian both down there, anyway? I'm not sure you said."

Chelsea moved from behind the tree.

"Psst," she hissed at Lola and a Slytherin girl she'd seen around but wasn't sure she knew the name of. "Can I sit with you guys please?"She felt rude and cheeky because she sensed they were having a private conversation.

Lola smiled. "I don't gravitate to any house. I used to hate my house last year, actually. Though I don't really care about people's houses. at least, I try not to." she bit her lip at the mention of Ian. What was she meant to say?

"Oh, I think we both just happened to exit our Common Rooms at the same time..." her voice drifted off as Chelsea spoke to them. She shrugged, secretly glad this had come up. She didn't have to say anything about Ian, at least not what Constanta had seen.

"Uhm, sure. You don't mind, do you Constanta? I mean, Ian's already making sure you're safe." she snorted.

"Thanks,"Chelsea sat down, looked up into the trees and smiled. "It never rains in here, have you noticed that?"
What an idiot? Chelsea thought to herself. What dumb question o ask

"You two going to the Hallowene thingy tonight?" She thought she'd rapidly change the subject.

Lola giggled a bit at Chelsea's first question. She ignored it and jumped to the other one. "I don't know, I don't think I have anything to wear." she shrugged. Truth was, she wanted to go secretly, in her new gold gown and gold mask [see avvie - thanks Vieve/Stanta!!! ^_^ ] to hide her identity. Maybe then she could sneak up on Ian and surprise him, no one would suspect it was her, correct? She wanted to go and have fun without being bothered. She gave Chelsea a smile.

"You?" she asked.

Chelsea shrugged.

"Probably, I have nothing better to do really," She giggled, relaxing. "And luckily my mum bought me a ton onew dress robes over the summer. I guess she felt guilty for leaving me and my brother at home while she went to Kenya with my younger sister. The problem I have is which to choose from," she smiled sheepishly, hoping they didn't think she was bragging.

Constanta shook her head and moved her chair a bit so that Chelsea could join them. Now she was rather glad for Ian's help; the scandal, a Slytherin in the inner circle talking to two Hufflepuffs. "Yes, I'm going. As a sort of Gothic Nymph, with wings and boots, that sort of thing," she replied to Chelsea's question about the dance. "Sounds like you'll have some fun deciding, then. What do they look like?"

Teyla entered the room. She knew she was late and mentally beat herself up for it. She went over to the other Puffs and sat down. She brushed her red hair out of her face and sighed. Not a normal sigh, but one that she needed to gain more oxygen. "What are we doing?" She asked the group.

"That sounds wonderful and very creative," Chelsea beamed. "I like the idea of crossing those genres. i'm not sure whether to wear my cream velvet robes and maybe wear a face mask, kinda like a masquarade ball theme, or to just wear my periwinkle blue robes and dress it up like a Cleo Patra kinda thing. What do you think?" She asked th other girls, really eager to know what they thought. Chelsea loved parties and dressing up. She was a tomboy on a broom but given half the chance she loved to dress up and look pretty.

Fera looked down at her crossed legs, her quill printing a perfect 't'. She wasn't that bad with her left, Fera had to admit that, but she was definitely much slower. Slow but steady. Deep down, the fiery gryffindor enjoyed writing slowly, taking her time. The 't' had closed that happy feeling, and Fera didn't like it. It isn't for no reason 'Terror' and 'Terrible' starts with a 't' The words inside her head were cool, freezing actually. They made her snap back to reality.

She raised herself slowly up, glaring daggers at who ever seemed to want to humiliate her. Go on, laugh. Her thoughts were daring, and Fera swore it was impossile not to hear them. Fera handed her parchment to Banni. And with a snort, she left the room. It was time for Magical Concepts, a class Fera hadn't ever had due to her constant skipping.

Bannishtar heard the bell ring.

"Very well everyone. Pack up your things and be sure to have that paper turned into me after the weekend break. You are dismissed."

((OOC: But in reality, you may PM me that three paragraph work at any point during fourth year.))

Teyla heard the bell ring but wasn't able to figure out what they were doing. Annoyed at herself and slightly at others she sat back up and left the fake forest.

"I like the sound of the masquerade one. Masks have a certain mystery and enchantment to them," Constanta suggested. She looked up at the centaur as he announced the end of class and scribbled the assignment down. She'd do it if she had time; Slytherin could use the points, after all. She packed up her books and left class.

Chelsea looked shocked at the sound of the bell and realised she'd better head to her next class. Packing up her books, she wondered if the sky was as welcoming as it had been that morning at breakfast.

"Bye," She waved generally to everyone and wondered where she had put her time table. What's next Chellie? she thought to herself as she left the enchanting forest, remembering what Constanta had said about the mask and the enchantingness of them. That's decided miss Hubbard Chelsea addressed herself in her head. You're going in the cream robe and the mask.[/i
