Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

"I guess so. I can make anything work for me," said Jenny nervously, her eyes darting around the class room. She smiled weakly. "Do you have a date? You're cute. I feel like you should have a few girls lined up." Jenny chucked to herself. Tucker didn't seem like that kind of guy, but she didn't know how else to flirt with him. She was just trying to get around to the guy admitting Jenny was cute out loud - not just in his mind. Jenny wanted Justin to freak.

Tucker smirked at her question and comment, his mind far from Rosalind, who he had agreed to take to the party. "I'm working on the queue. Why, are you interested in joining the line?" He glanced at Bannishtar, to make sure the centaur wasn't saying anything important - he wasn't, that Tucker could tell - and then back at this blonde thing next to him. "There might still be a spot or two open." He was being entirely facetious; he didn't intend to take multiple dates to the party. However, his ever-flirtatious mind had run far from the great hall this morning, and he was unwittingly digging himself into a rather deep hole.

Jenny couldn't help but giggle. Those were exactly the kind of statements Tucker would need to make in front of Justin. Jenny wasn't exactly attracted to Tucker - he was, of course, good looking, but snide comments like that made Jenny feel like a piece of meat. But, of course, she was always perfectly oblivious and very prone to ignoring her conscious. She smiled to herself. "Well you might want to check if there's a spot open. I'm pretty much always the life of the party."

Soooo...that was a lie. Mostly everyone hated having Jenny around, either because she was over dramatic or excessively bubbly. But Tucker didn't have to know that.

Tucker had a fleeting thought at her comment - if you're always the life of the party, why would you still be single for the party? Then again, he wasn't about to throw away a girl like this, whose clavicles could cut cheese but whose legs were longer than a dragon's tail. He smiled mischievously at her. "I'm pretty sure I could squeeze you in." That's what she said!

He was having second thoughts, though, and so left his options open. At least, that's how he saw it. Girls, on the other hand, didn't always understand what he said as clearly as he thought they should...

Perfect, Tucker, dear, thought Jenny. My brother will just loveeee you.

Jenny grinned at him and leaned forward onto her legs, for she was sitting Indian style. She placed her chin in the palm of her hand, her eyes sparkling. "Good. I guess I'll just have to show all those other girls.." Show them what? Jenny's mind went blank and she giggled girlishly. There was no real substance behind her eyes, something she rarely ever tried to conceal...mostly because she didn't realize how truly vapid and foolish she was.

Tucker blinked. Wait... something flickered in the back of his mind, but he couldn't put his finger on it. Jenny's giggle, while high-pitched and not something he was really looking for in a woman, seemed promising for his eventual plans for the evening. Something wasn't quite right though...and he couldn't figure out what. It was extremely annoying.

"Well, I guess that'll depend on your costume," he replied to her comment after his moment of hesitation. And what will I wear? he thought, then mentally kicked himself. It was a rather feminine thought. Don't go there.

Jenny blinked at him, her eyes glazing over as she thought. "Ummmmm.." She bit her lip and thought for an unusually short moment before she exploded, "I can be a cat, or a bunny. Some kind of animal." Jenny thought about being a cat and walking around, purring to everyone. The thought made her giggle again, and grin. "Something cute. You needn't worry." Yawning, Jenny suddenly felt the dying urge to return to the dungeons. She was worried about June...she had seemed so upset...over dramatic bitch.

"I'm not worried," he commented offhandedly. He saw Rosalind out of the corner of his eye, and something tugged in his brain. Not worried about costumes, at least... had they agreed to go together, when they had talked this morning? He remembered talking to Rosalind about the party, and the subject of dates had come up, but then Artie had distracted him...was it Artie? He didn't remember what he had agreed to, and that was probably going to bite him in the ass. Girls have much more solid memories for these things than guys do. He nearly smirked as a minor thought popped in his head: if only whomever I was talking to had been wearing their costume then.

Jenny smiled for a moment and chirped, "Good, you shouldn't be." She picked herself up from the floor for a moment and dusted herself off, looking around for a moment. "So I guess I'll just see you tonight, then." Jenny winked and flounced to the other side of the classroom where she took a seat again, leaning her back on a tree trunk, pulling out her notebook and studying a few notes. She might as well try. She was sort of sick of being unbearably stupid.

Tucker smiled, half forced and half somewhat happy, and nodded slowly. "I...guess so, yeah." It was strange that she just walked away. Can she tell something just got screwed up? He thought about it, and the image of her big, open, blank stare filled his head. Mm...don't think so. I just have to solve it before tonight or else be thoroughly, ironically screwed. He ran his hands through his hair and shifted so that he was now sitting cross-legged. He hoped he hadn't missed anything important in class while he'd been setting up his current mess. I might actually need to see the future now.

Banni raised his hands to quiet the class.

"All right everyone, settle down," he said, "Today we will be continuing our lessons on archetypes. We covered most of them last time, so today we'll have a short lesson.

"Now I've got an assignment for you,"
Banni paused for the groans, "Now I want you to choose an archetype from the ones we've discussed and write a foot on anything you can find about it, such as what it means as where it has been seen. It isn't that hard and you'll have multiple days to do it. So, with that said you may get started now, and talk amongst yourselves quietly until the bell rings."

((OOC: This assignment is worth 30 points. Make sure they are at least 3 paragraphs. Please PM your finished assignment to me for grading. Once you've chosen an archetype to write about, you may use any source you wish: books, the internet, ect. I will post a notice about this in my forum, because Gryffindors and Ravenclaws may also do this. If you don't do this assignment, that is fine, but you won't get points for it. You can find the list of archetypes here in the Divination Lore thread: http://z8.invisionfree.com/Hogwarts_RP_Boa...p?showtopic=962. ))

Fera Collis
Fifth Year

Fera looked up, if she first was in this class at all, why shouldn't she make a effort. She could write decently with her left arm, although not at all as fancy as she used to do with her right. Archetypes... Twelve around one, I guess. I wasn't here for any of the rest. Fera closed her eyes, and digged forward all information she had about it. twelve around one, like the disiples around Jesus, the zodiac table. All religions using it to a degree. She sighed, and took a piece of parchment out of her bag, using alot of time with her one arm.

The her quill touched the parchment lightly, as if it was her usual writing arm. Fera sent a thanks to the monks, who forced her to write with both arms. The world began with a sound, tells sience. It shall also end with a sound. It all begins from a source sound, light and colour often drawn as a small, pulsating ball. Fera smirked to herself, the beginning was decent. Often, this pulsating ball, is drawn with twelve cone-shapes spiralling upwards. Cones may look like a horn, and at Ragnarök, which will be signalled by Heimdall's horn, which is blown when danger approaches. It began with a tone, it shall end with a tone.

The corpses of doomed men fall,
the gods' dwellings are reddened with crimson blood;
sunshine becomes black the next summer,
all weather is vicious; do you understand yet, or what more?

That poem, or kvad, is from a acient norden seer, called a Völva. Of course, Northern mythology is not the only one we can get out from twelve around one, we also have many cristian symbols of this one thing, even daily use objects based of twelve around one.

For the Christian symbols, we have the Disiples around Jesus, or the Twelve lions of Salomon, or the twelve guards. For the daily items, the clock, calender, mandalas, wheels of karma. There is much more than meets the eye at first.

Fera wrote slowly, and took her time to print every letter.

Jocelyn entered the Divination classroom and yawned arrogantly at the professor, not bothering to cover her mouth. She had only begrudgingly entered the classroom as she had been planning to skip once again. However, Divination was strangely one of Jocelyn's favorite subjects -- even though she would never dare admit it. It was intriguing and you hardly ever got bored -- well, at least Jocelyn never did.

Looking around the main floor classroom, Jocelyn merely glanced at the Hufflepuffs...and strangely one Gryffindor. There were only two other Slytherins seated in the classroom: Ella and Ian. It only took a second for Jocelyn to decide who she would rather sit next to. As she walked over to the Slytherin boy who seemed lost in his own thoughts, Jocelyn recalled last night's events. She felt the tiniest bit guilty about leaving Tinsley wounded in the hospital wing to attend such a bogus class as Divination, but didn't let that bother her much. As she walked over to Ian, Jocelyn forced a smile onto her face that hid her fear for Tinsley very well. That was one thing she had gotten perfect at over the past years: hiding how she felt on the inside. Of course, like countless other things, practice was what made it perfect.

"Hey Ian. How's it going?" Jocelyn asked as she sat down besides the Slytherin. She and Ian were not the best of friends, which was probably why Jocelyn's tone was a bit aloof. In fact, she had never even gotten the chance to acquaint herself with most of her fellow Slytherins. It was something she had never even cared much about doing. Making friends, hanging out with people; that was not her area of expertise. The thing that surprised her the most, though, was that this year she was trying to change that.
i'll tell you you're worthless,

Ian wasn't interested in doing the assignment. He didn't care to do anything in Divination. In fact, he considered just dropping that waste of time for something more worthwhile...like knitting. He was failing anyhow.

"Hey Ian. How's it going?"

Ian looked up to see Jocelyn sitting down beside him.

"Hi," he said in a bored tone, "Okay I guess." Ian, being who he was, had noticed a long time ago how pretty the blonde Slytherin sitting beside him was, but she always seemed less personable than he was for some odd reason. At least Ian could fake it when he wanted.

Jocelyn's tone had been quite aloof, and that had made him nervous, and he avoided eye contact with her out of an old habit he'd thought he'd gotten over in the wake of the fake confidence he was now able to exude. Of course, and it was just one of those things he didn't share with anyone; the very first thing about himself he learned to hide, was the he was always fearful of the intentions of those who approached him. Insecurities where to root of all his problems, it seemed.

Jaire was pratically running when he finally entered the Divination room, and was definately out of breath, he always felt strangely misplaced in the classroom meant to look outdoors. This was probably due to the sunglasses firmly placed on his nose and shading his eyes from the harmful light. He grinned sheepishly before picking a spot near some Hufflepuffs, and starting to read through the material. Being late however, was definately better then letting his kitten wander around the castle unsupervised for who knows how long. If he let Jag wander for one class he'd never find her again.

<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>"Hey guys!"
He finally managed to put in after he'd caught his breath, this was directed at anyone who could hear him, and anyone who'd want to talk. His eyes flicked back to what he was studying, and he stifled a yawn. Divination was more then a waste of time, he shoulda been hanging out with anyone stuck in the common, or cleaned his cats litterbox which people were starting to file complaints about. </span>

Julian entered the classroom with a look of disgust as he cast his gaze about the faux Forest. Spotting Ian and Joscelyn, he made his way to join them, not bothering to apologize to the 'Professor' for his tardiness. He dropped to the floor beside the pair, leaning back against the tree, his arms resting casually atop his raised knees. "Any word on Tinsley yet?" having discovered what had happened to her through his midnight rendezvous with Kayden. He felt as close to concern as was possible for him to feel towards his fellow Slytherin.
Are you my next victim? Are you my next prey?

Jenny frowned. An essay? A whole foot? Her brain completely drew a blank....An archetype? Wait, what? Jenny frowned. She really should pay attention more often...Phi is very abstract... She threw down her quill in vain. This obviously was not working. Instead, she glanced around the room, and tried to focus all of her attention on several people, trying to focus all of her energy on them..

Nothing.

She knew in order to really control her power, she'd have to practice. But Jenny was never good at anything, really, let alone something so complicated like reading minds. She returned to her essay. So, arketypes are like, these symbols and they all exist in our physics. They are all in our subconshus and stay there until they need to be used. Every person in this world have this nowledge and these symbols are in fact every wear ..

Maybe she wouldn't get a T this time...

Lola rushed into the classroom, and tried to not draw attention to herself. Her stomach was aching, she sat in an empty seat, rather far away from everyone and took deep breaths. She crossed her legs and scanned the room. She noticed Julian Kahn. She made a face then noticed Ian, she raised an eyebrow and continued to scan the room, seeing familiar faces like Ella, Constanta, and a few others. She wondered if Constanta would ever speak to her again, she had a feeling she could get along with her after the Ian incident.

She sighed and rubbed her eyes.

Constanta looked up at Lola's entrance and bit her lip. She wasn't sure how they stood now, especially after the incident with Ian. He was in the classroom, too, but didn't appear to have seen her. She brushed her hair from her face, stood, and walked over to where the girl sat. She noticed then that her face was drawn, and she seemed rather tired.

She leaned toward Lola a bit, her expression concerned. "Are you all right?" she asked quietly and hoped that her classmate wouldn't mind talking to her.

Lola stopped rubbing her eyes and turned to see Constanta. She gave her a weak smile. She hadn't expected her to speak to her, she wondered if Ian would see and what he'd think. She shrugged it off.

"I'm fine, thank you. Just a bit tired, a bit upset." she chuckled lightly, hoping she understood she was talking about Ian's comment. And there was a small truth in that.
