| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Full name: Jocelyn Marie Leroy. Nickname(s): Joss. Birthdate: April 23. Age: 14 Year: Fourth Year. Blood: Since pure-bloods are a rare find now, Joss is a half-blood, even though she tells people that her blood is pure. Her mother was a muggle and her father is a pure-blood. Wand: 10 inches, holly, dragon heartstring Preferred House:Slytherin Appearance: Height: 5' 5'' Eyes: Penetrating and sharp, her eyes are a gleaming bright blue. She has long, dark eyelashes and her eyes always have a mischievious glow to them. Hair: Her hair is a dirty blonde color, with highlights that are other shade of blonde. Her hair is smooth and straight with a somewhat wavy edge, and is long enough to reach her belly button. She usually wears it down or in a low ponytail. Physical Description: Jocelyn has a fair complexion and a skin tone that is as pale and smooth as porcelain. She isn't drop dead gorgeous, but she has a naturally prettiness that most envy. Her eyes are stunningly blue and big and her hair is uniquely blonde, closer to a sparkling white than anything. There's nothing odd or peculiar on or about her face and her body type is what one would call just perfect. Joss knows that she's pretty, and she takes pride in that, but she isn't one to complain about her appearance. She is tall for her age, which is another physical trait of hers that others envy. She usually sticks to her usual robes, which is what she is most comfortable in. When not wearing robes, she typically wears jeans and a t-shirt, or a simple skirt or dress. Her style is pretty basic, and she looks good in almost everything. Personality: Jocelyn may seem very charming and pretty at first, but once she opens her mouth to speak, all traces of sweetness are gone. She isn't exactly as mean as some people, but she definitely isn't nice either. She has a fearless and condescending attitude that often gets the best of her, but she doesn't care. She takes pride in her defiant manner. Joss may seem somewhat polite at first, but that's just her way of getting to people. She's sweet on the outside, sour on the inside. She firmly believes that, if you are not a Slytherin, you are inferior to her. Her haughty attitude is expected of her, however, seeing as she was raised an extremely spoiled child by the several nannies her father had hired for her while growing up. Still, that is no reason for her to act the way she does. Jocelyn is labeled as condescending and bold, and she's proud of it. Jocelyn is more of the sit-back-and-watch-while-trouble-brews type of person. Teachers know her well because of her polite impression and hard work in school. She's a very smart person and excels in school, which is something that most of her friends do not know about her. She is somewhat ashamed of her past, since her mother was a muggle, but she does not let this show. Jocelyn is what you would call the rebellious type. Although she does well in school, she rarely ever attends class and even if she does, she almost never pays attention. She has a very laidback attitude. She's carefree and loves to create trouble. Although Jocelyn generally stays quiet and rarely ever exerts energy, she can be loud when she wants to. She'd rather simply ignore you than curse you, but if you really get on her nerves, she can get scary. Despite the fact that she enjoys treating other people like trash, Jocelyn is a loyal and fun friend to her Slytherin pals. She'll treat any member of the Slytherin house with care, honesty, loyalty, and devotion – things she would never dare show to anyone outside of her house. As mentioned before, Jocelyn is more of a genuinely mean person, rather than a cruel or sadistic one. She's independent and hard-headed. Jocelyn is confident in herself and she knows she can do anything once she sets her mind to it (which she usually does). History: Joss's father, Augustus Leroy, is a pure-blood and, when at Hogwarts, was in the house of Salazar Slytherin. Ricky is a wealthy business man who is the CEO of his own company. He pretends to be a muggle business man living in Manhattan, New York with his daughter who attends a boarding school in England. For her entire life, Joss has worked her hardest to impress her father, but he always labels Joss as a "useless girl who will never amount to anything." Nevertheless, Joss tries to impress him every chance she gets, but she rarely meets his standards. Like his daughter, Augustus firmly believes that anyone outside of the Slytherin house is a worthless piece of trash (which is pretty much the only reason Joss acts so condescending: since her father is as well). This is ironic, since Ricky married a muggle: Sarah Tanner. Sarah was an employee at Augustus' company and the two met and fell in love. She never knew that Augustus was a wizard and thought him to be a normal, wealthy muggle business man. Augustus never told any of his pure-blood relatives that he had married a muggle and it wasn't until Sarah gave birth to Joss when any of his family found out. Immediately, they disowned him and now consider him as a blood-traitor. Sarah died moments after she gave birth to Joss and Joss never even so much as saw a picture of her mother, since her father always refuses to talk about her and, when he does mention her, only refers to her as "your filthy muggle mother." After Joss was born, Augustus always overlooked her, putting her in the care of nannies in his mansion in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. Joss was treated like a princess as a child by all of her muggle nannies. She was a spoiled brat, treating her nannies rudely and only behaving when her father stayed at the mansion (which was very rare). The nannies were shocked when Joss started showing signs of magic, seemingly because she didn't show any signs of being a witch until about a year before she was supposed to attend Hogwarts. The nannies were quickly given a memory charm and since then, Joss has been forbidden to mention anything about the wizarding world around the nannies. Now that Joss is old enough to take care of herself, her father has hired a staff that is made up of only wizards and witches to make sure the mansion is kept in good condition when Augustusisn't there. However, outside of the house, it's still a muggle world and while at home, Joss rarely ever goes out. She doesn't have any friends outside of Hogwarts and has learned to hate muggles and everything about the muggle world. Joss usually spends her Christmas and Easter breaks at Hogwarts since she hates being at home and, if she had a choice, would never even go back to the empty mansion during summer break. Family: Father: Augustus Leroy. Mother: Sarah Tanner - deceased Pet(s): A barn owl named Aqua. Possessions: A locket with a golden chain. The locket doesn't open, but Joss wears it at all times as it was a gift from her mother when Joss was born and is the only thing she has left of her.
