| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. The quaffle starts with Tom Hadlee, the New Zealand chaser, and captain. He passes to Denny Howlett. He attempts to pass back to Hadlee, the ball is intercepted by Iskra. Iskra to Bisera, onto Grozdan. Grozdan flies at Keeper Keeley, he fakes and passes to Iskra. Iskra Shoots and ...Scores!!!! 10 - 0 Macedonia leads, bad start by the Kiwi's. Keeley passes the ball out. Howlett has it, he passes to Hadlee, Hadlee to Howlett. Fires the quick shot but Macedonian keeper Aleksandar Darko has it and passes it out to Grozdan. Plays a one two with Bisera, but Grozdan has the quaffle taken from him by Fitzpatrick. He steams forward, dodges a bludger and fakes Darko throwing the quaffle to the left hoop. Darko lunges. Goal!!! 10 all, New Zealand gets on the scoreboard. Darko has the ball, he feeds it to Bisera, plays to Iskra, tries to dodge the bludger but drops the quaffle, picked up by Howlett. This looks good for New Zealand. Passes to Fitzpatrick. Coming in on goals. He shoots. And Misses, can you believe it, the hoop was right there for the shot and he missed it. Darko gathers the ball and feeds it to Iskra this time. He retains the quaffle, and passes up to Grozdan. Grozdan fakes a pass and shoots from a long way. Goal!!! Grozdan catches Keeley asleep at the hoop and puts one past him 20 - 10 Macedonia. Keeley, furious at himself about that last goal gets it out to Howlett. He steams forward with the Quaffle. Look at the man go. He slides it over to Fitzpatrick. He sees Hadlee free in a lot of space and passes it over. Hadlee draws Darko and passes it to Howlett who has a free shot on goals. Got it!!! Howlett puts one through the unguarded center hoop as Darko can only watch as the Quaffle sails through 20 - 20. Darko passes it out. He gets it to Grozdan, the Macedonian captain. Stalls on his broom. Iskra and Bisera are both being tightly marked by their players. Hadlee, sneaks up from behind and steals the quaffle. Darko doesn't want to come out again, instead he protects the centre one. He waits for the shot. Here it comes. Darko dives to the left. It was a fake! Hadlee passes off to Fitzpatrick who passed Hadlee on the left and shoots easily to the Macedonian right goal hoop. New Zealand leads 30-20 Darko has it, he passes it out to Bisera but no it's cut off. Fitzpatrick takes the quaffle. He backtracks. Passes to Howlett. He streaks down the right and dodges one bludger and Iskra. Shuffles it across Hadlee. He puts it to the hoops. Darko goes for it. It slips through his fingers and through the hoop. It's a goal!!! Can you believe it. 40-20. New Zealand gets a lead up. Darko has it, passes it around Iskra, he sets up Bisera, Grozdan streaks forwards and gets the quaffle. Only the hoops ahead of him. Heeley is there, but he's in trouble. Grozdan is passed him. Heeley dives back. Too late though, Grozdan puts it through the hoops and its a goal to Macedonia. 40-30 New Zealand still leads. Heeley with the Quaffle, he gets it out to Hadlee, he in turn chucks it to Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick cops a bludger to the head though. Ouch, thats gotta hurt. Bisera picks up the quaffle. Passes it up to Grozdan. Heeley tries to get back. Goal!!! Grozdan puts it past Heeley, back to square one. 40-40 Heeley with the Quaffle, passes it on. Fitzpatrick has it. Passes it into space. Oooooh, thats not good. Hadlee crashes into Howlett. Both of them are down. Iskra grabs the quaffle and passes to Bisera who palms it off to Grozdan who puts in a shot to the left goal hoop. Goal!!! Heeley was watching his chasers when he realized that the Macedonian's had played on. Fitzpatrick, Lomu and Heeley are all appealing to the ref to pause the game. Macedonian goal stands they take back the lead 50-40 as medi-wizards rush onto the ground. Hadlee and Howlett are fixed and ready to play on though neither looks very good. Heeley has the quaffle. Fitzpatrick is open and Heeley gets it too him. Hadlee calls for it in the center. Fitzpatrick passes but it falls through Hadlee's fingers. Iskra swoops and passes to Bisera, Heeley goes to protect the near hoop. Bisera fires a tricky shot to the far hoop. It's Good!!! Goal to Bisera. Macedonia extends their lead to 60-40. Hadlee and Howlett look like they are in a bit of trouble but both are refusing to leave the ground. Heeley has it again. This time he goes directly to Hadlee, he catches it without trouble. The pass to Howlett was a bit of a worry but he's got it alright. He spots up Fitzpatrick. Howlett goes forward and gets the pass back from Fitzpatrick. Lomu and Miroslav the two seekers have seen something. Howlett watches the seekers streak passed him. He loses the quaffle. Grozdan has it. He passes it forwards to Iskra, the two seekers are still in a dive. They must have seen the snitch. Iskra passes it back to Grozdan who slices the field with his pass to Bisera who shoots. GOAL!!! Bisera scores and the tussle is over someone has caught the snitch. Who has won the game. ... ... ... ... ... It's Miroslav the Macedonian seeker has caught the snitch and thats 150 plus the 70 points takes them to 220 versus New Zealands 40. What a game. Macedonia (220) versus New Zealand (40) |

Japan versus Canada Japan Keeper: Sadaharu Masuzaka Chasers: Masahiko Inoki, Taiho Suzuki, Okamoto Takahashi Seeker: Shizuka Kamamoto Canada Keeper: Steve Kilby Chasers: Berwyn Alford, Cecil Elias, Thomas Shalders Seeker: Chris Murphy The teams come onto the pitch then. Captains Shizuka Kamamoto and Cecil Elias shake hands then and we are about to start this first game of Group B action. They line up in formation and the teams are now on their brooms. Keepers are in position. Wales to start with the Quaffle. It's Alford now, he starts with it and the referee blows his whistle and the game is off. Alford passes it to Shalders, who passes back to Alford, this seems to be a tactic as Elias has gone forward. The pass is going in his direction but Suzuki and Inoki look to intercept the pass. They are going to crash. Look at that. Can you believe it. Inoki jumps off his broom. Catches the quaffle in mid air then lands back on his broom while Suzuki goes between Inoki and his broom. What a move, ladies and gentleman. Inoki with the quaffle, he passes ahead to Takahashi who gets it out to Suzuki, back to Takahashi, he's closing in on goals. He shoots Saved by Kilby, he did well to cover that hoop. Kilby has the quaffle. He releases to Shalders, he spots Alford going down the wing. Alford dodges the bludger but a great steal from Takahashi gives Japan the quaffle back. They are showing some great skills here. Takahashi presses forward. Fakes a pass to Inoki, passes to Suzuki who plays it quickly back to Takahashi, he enters the shooting zone. "Foul" the crowd yells, as Canadian Seeker Chris Murphy blocks the path of Takahashi. The Japanese fans are going crazy. Appealing to the ref. The ref has awarded it. Takahashi to take the penalty shot. It's Good, Takahashi sends Kilby the wrong way before slotting it through the unguarded left hoop! 10 - nothing Japan's lead. Kilby gets the quaffle. The Canadians don't want to lose to Japan as that would be hard to come back from. Kilby passes the quaffle to Shalders once again. Shalders has it. He passes to Alford, Canada advancing up the field. What can they do with it. Alford passes to Elias who throws it across the field to Shalders. Shalders leans forward and accelerates on his broom. Dodges a bludger. Alford in the centre, Shalders gets it to him. Masuzaka is in trouble. Alford shoots. And he Misses!!! What a poor shot, should have done better with that one. Masauzaka with the quaffle, hands it to Inoki. Inoki is looking for a player to pass to. He goes himself, gets to the middle. Shalders charges. Inoki drops the quaffle. Takahashi slides under him though and catches the quaffle. Great movement by Japan. Takahashi passes to Suzuki who gives it back to Takahashi. Takahashi fakes the shot and passes to Suzuki. He shoots. It's GOOD!!!! Goal to Suzuki, Japan extend their lead. 20 - 0. Kilby with the quaffle once more. This time he goes to Elias, who looks to play a more defensive role in the Canadian line up. Elias has both Shalders and Alford in space. Elias passes to Shalders, who gives it to Alford as he passes. Alford looks to pass it back to Shalders as he is being chased down by Inoki but Shalders is not paying attention and the quaffle hits Shalders in the back of his head and bounces off. Shalders turns to try and pick up the quaffle but Suzuki already has it. He passes to Takahashi. Takahashi is toying with Kilby. He fakes a shot and passes to Suzuki. Kilby is out of position. Suzuki shoots. He misses. What a miss, free shot on the hoops and he couldn't put it through. Japan still lead 20 - 0, a lucky reprieve for Kilby, who now has the quaffle. Again to Elias who is playing in a very defensive position. He passes up to Shalders, can Shalder's make ammends for last time. He tries to go to Alford but the quaffle is cut off again. Japan setting a frantic pace that the Canadians are cracking under. Inoki with the quaffle. Elias charges at him and connects. The ref has seen something there. The slow montion replay is on the screen. Ouch, Inoki gets elbowed in the face and the Japanese crowd are not liking that. Penalty to Japan, take two. Takahashi steps up. Kilby doesn't want the gap to widen otherwise the Canadians will have to rely on their seeker Chris Murphy to win the game as Japan are dominating. Takahashi charges in. Veers to the right. Kilby follows him. Takahashi shoots. GOAL!!!! Takahashi straightened up then shot on a difficult angle to the left hoop. It slides through and Japan get rewarded with another 10 points. Murphy dives, he appears to have seen something that Kamamoto hasn't. Kamamoto follows. He tries to catch Murphy. Kamamoto tries to follow the snitch out of the dive. Murphy can't seem to pull up. BANG!!! Murphy is unable to pull out of his dive in time to avoid the ground. He appears to be bleeding a bit from the nose and he may have lost a few teeth as well. Medi wizards swarm him now. Murphy's team mates are hovering above him to see if he is alright. He gives a thumps up from beneath the swarm. He's alright to play on. Game to resume. Kilby with the quaffle. The score is now 30 - 0 to Japan. Kilby gives the quaffle to Alford, Alford and Elias are taking the quaffle up together. A new tactic by the Canadians. Passing the quaffle between each other. The Japanese chasers are lining up in a "V" formation. Ready to charge at the Canadian pair. Elias passes underneath the Japanese chasers. Shalders is in the clear with no one but Masuzaka in between him and the hoops. Shalders sways from side to side. He shoots GOAL!! Canada on the scoreboard. Still Japan leads 30 - 10. Masuzaka with the quaffle. He passes out to Inoki, Inoki passes up to Suzuki who gives it back to Inoki. Inoki fakes a pass to Takahashi but shoots. Kilby is asleep at the hoops. The long shot is going. Will it be accurate? Yes it is. A looooooooong goal from Inoki and a great shot, good work finding Kilby asleep. Japan up now 40 - 10. Kilby is being yelled at. Alford cannot believe it. Kilby gets the quaffle away quickly towards Elias but it slips through his fingers Suzuki sweeps onto the quaffle and lobs it towards the hoops. For two goals in a row. It's good. Suzuki fires one home and the game is 40 - 10. Murphy will need to catch the snitch if Canada have any hope of winning this game because Japan could take it away from them. Kilby is busy yelling at Elias for letting that pass slip through his fingers. Meanwhile, Alford takes the quaffle and swings around the goal hoops. He passes out to Shalders, he tries to pass it back but they don't have enough options. It's three on two at the moment and Takahashi takes the quaffle from Shalders. The argument between Elias and Kilby has allowed Japan to have an extra man on Alford. Inoki recieves the quaffle and sneaks into the scoring zone while Kilby has no idea. A certain goal to Japan. Yes it is 50 - 10. Can you believe it? Horrific play by Canada, they are in serious dissaray now. Kilby is furious at being distracted from the game by yelling at Elias, this can't be good for team chemistry. Kilby now, passes to Alford. Alford with the quaffle to Shalders, two chasers are teaming up on Alford, Shalders goes long and finds Elias in the clear. Elias draws out Masuzaka and tries to fire a shot around him. Masuzaka dives back. To no avail. Canada gets another on the board. They need a fair few more of those to get them back in the game. 50 - 20, 30 points is once again Japan's lead. Masuzaka with the quaffle. He stalls and waits till Elias charges, he then throws it to Inoki, Inoki stalls and waits for Shalders, Shalders charges, Japan playing keepings off. Inoki passes to Suzuki. Alford charges and Suzuki slips the quaffle behind him and Takahashi speeds passed towards goal. Kilby flies back to gaurd his hoops. Takahashi tries to take advantage of Kilby flying backwards. He shoots. Got it!!!! Kilby flies back to cover the centre hoop as Takahashi shoots for the right hoop. Kilby goes for it but it's too late. Takahashi scores and the score is now 60 - 20. Japan's lead back up to 40 points and they look in control of the game. Kilby has Elias free but refuses to pass it to him. Instead Kilby holds onto the quaffle. Inoki and Suzuki are marking Alford and Takahashi is with Shalders. Kilby refuses to pass the ball to Elias who is well in the clear. Welsh fans are starting to boo their own keeper. Inoki charges in an attempt to get the quaffle moving. Kilby yells and throws the ball, finally, towards Elias, however Inoki gets himself in between Kilby and Elias and intercepts the pass. Inoki has the hoops open and Kilby too far out to save them. Inoki shoots. No goal, Suzuki catches the quaffle in the goal zone and then he puts it through the hoop. Goal to Suzuki. Japan scores. Inoki doesn't seem to mind to much. 70 - 20 is Japan's lead. Kilby has egg on his face after that incident. He passes the quaffle as quickly as possible to Alford. He passes to Shalders, back to Alford and Shalders again, this time to Elias, to Alford, the Canadians stringing passes nicely. They are making their way into the Japanese goal mouth. Alford dodges a bludger and passes back to Shalders. Shalders goes over to Elias and swerves around Inoki. Canadian chasers in a good position. 3 on 1, just the keeper to beat. Shalders has the quaffle in the center. Elias and Alford charge from either side, Masuzaka leaves his goals. Shalders passes it over to Alford who puts the quaffle through the centre hoop. Goal Canada. Japan still leads 70 - 30. Canada have a lot of ground to catch. Masuzaka has the quaffle and passes it out to Inoki. Murphy is chasing Kamamoto around the field and Kamamoto appears to have seen something. Murphy tries to follow. It's almost certainly the snitch. The seekers are going so fast they've turned into Red and Green blobs. Look at them go. Neck and neck, weaving in between the stands. Oh dear me, both seekers are using any means possible to get the snitch. Kamamoto is leading, now Murphy, now Kamamoto. That's it, it's over the snitch has been caught. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Thats right, Kamamoto grabs the snitch leaving Murphy to just scrape at his hand. Canada going down to Japan 220 to 30. So the final score again is... Japan 220 versus Canada 30 |

Cuba versus American Samoa Cuba Keeper: Gustavo Gonzales Chasers: Alessandro Garcia, Ramon Casanas, Alberto Quesada Seeker: Marino Lopez American Samoa Keeper: George Paloto Chasers: Satupaitea Carmont, Ken Pola, Justin Salave'a Seeker: Haula Pontara Welcome back to the Quidditch World Cup Qualifiers, today we have Cuba versus American Samoa, in the battle for that one lucky place in the Quidditch world cup to be held this Summer in Bulgaria. The two teams are filing out onto the pitch as we speak. Ken Pola and Marino Lopez shake hands as the ref gives them the usual talking to. Both captains return to their sides, the bludgers are released followed by the snitch. Players are in the air and there goes the quaffle. It's caught first by Garcia of Cuba, Garcia plays it forward to Quesade who passes to Casanas. Good linking passes by Cuba as the Quaffle goes to Garcia again. Garcia now, dodges a bludger and Pola's attempt to steal the quaffle. The hoops are in Garcia's site. Paloto comes out. Garcia shoots. Good Save Paloto, dove full stetch and almost fell off his broom. Paloto now, feeds the Quaffle out to Salave'a. Salave'a has it, dodges a bludger and passes to Carmont. Carmont streaks forward. Pola is open, Carmont passes but it's cut off by Quesada who went to clean up in the Cuban defense. Quesada releases Casanas who passes forward to Garcia, Garcia slips the Quaffle to Quesada who has raced from the Cuban defense to be involved in this attacking play. Quesada drops back and Casanas and Garcia slip through the defenders. Both calling for Quesada to throw it to them. He draws the defenders towards him and throws a long sky pass. Casanas gets to it in the air but is too high up to score. Garcia is bellow him. Casanas drops the quaffle into Garcia's waiting arms. However it's punched out of there by Paloto. Only as far as Quesada who shoots. GOAL!!! Quesada scores, Cuba strikes first. 10 - 0. American Samoa in possession of the Quaffle. Paloto has it. Pola is open, Polata doesn't use him. Instead Paloto goes long to Carmont. Great accuracy with the long pass. Carmont advances on goal. He passes sideways to Salave'a. He accelerates towards the goals. The Cuban chasers have gotten back in defense for this play very well. They charge at the Samoan. He's in trouble now. He throws the Quaffle three meters above himself. It's a pass. Pola flies overhead and scoops the quaffle before it can fall into the waiting arms of his Cuban opponents. Pola flies in on goal. BANG!! He's struck right in the back by a well aimed bludger. Great hit. The ball drops and Quesada can take advantage of the drop. Pola looks like he is a bit out of it after that bludger which gives Cuba a three on two advantage. Quesada passes to Casanas, Casanas onto Garcia, these quick passes are being used well to confuse the Samoan keeper. Garcia enters the shooting zone. Paloto comes out to meet him. Garcia passes it off and Quesada finishes off the catch he made as he shoots to the unguarded hoops. Misses! Can you believe it. An easy shot and he just couldn't put it through the hoop. A poor effort from the Cuban. American Samoa get lucky. Cuba still leads by a single goal. Pola is just coming back after the great hit with the bludger. Salave'a has it and passes it onto Carmont who streaks down the right side past the stands with the American Samoan fans are sitting and they cheer him on. Carmont flies forwards, Pola has set himself up in the center. Carmont fakes a pass. Hold on a second. Carmont doesn't have the quaffle. Salave'a never really passed it to him. The Cuban's fell for it. Salave'a passes it long to Pola. He turns around on his broom and pushes the quaffle to Carmont who flashed passed him at the right time. Gonzales charges to the blur but Carmont gets around him and shoots hurridly towards the post. He's missed. A tricky shot for the best of players and he isn't one of them. Went for to much. Wait, what's this. The ref has blown his whistle. Yes, it appears as though the ref has given a foul. PENALTY SHOT, to American Samoa for hitting the Chaser after he had gotten rid of the Quaffle and while in the scoring zone. As you can see on the replay. A few minutes after the shot, Carmont is his with a bludger to the arm. Pola to take the penalty. Veers left, veers right. Speeds center. Gonzales doesn't know which ring to block. Pola shoots. GOAL!!!! Pola goes to the left hoop, Gonzales can only watch as the Quaffle sails past him and into the hoop giving American Samoa 10 points. Cuba to start with the Quaffle. Gonzales has it. He passes to Garcia. He avoids 1 bludger, dodges a second. He passes off to Quesada, the ball is almost intercepted by Carmont but it just goes passed him before he can grip it. Quesada draws Pola and Salave'a towards him. Quesada passes over the top to the open Casanas. Casanas heads in on goal. Paloto charges out to block. Casanas fakes a shot and passes to Garcia who goes passed on the right and charges into the unblocked hoops. Steadies, aims and shoots. It's a GOAL!!! Garcia gets his first and Cuba's second to put them back into the lead. Nothing Paloto could have done about that one. Great play by the Cubans. Paloto has the quaffle. He tries to go to Pola but Quesada is close enough to hit the ball away in the direction of Casanas who gets to the Quaffle before Salave'a can get to it. He passes it off the Garcia. Garcia looks to get a second goal on the board as he tries to chip Paloto. GOAL!!! Difficult shot but he's pulled it off. Garcia has two in a row. Cuba extends the lead to 30 - 10. the team from American Samoa is in a fair bit of strife. Their bid to get through here could be over soon. American Samoa again with the Quaffle. Paloto wants to get the pass away properly. He passes out to Salave'a. Salave'a has it and moves it along the right wing to Pola. Pola has space to move and move he does. He gets Carmont back into the game with a great pass. Carmont throws a speeding punch at the center hoop. It's being gaurded well by Gonzales though as he tracks back. Can you believe it though, he's gone back too far and he fell through the hoop. Wow, thats a shocker. American Samoa gets their second on the board through sheer dumb luck. I don't think I've seen something like that in a while. That's embarassing for Gonzales who wants to get the Quaffle moving quickly. He passes to Garcia, onto Casanas, it's like there is no other chasers out there. Garcia has it again. He's having a great game. Garcia now passes to Quesada. Paloto doesn't know what to do. Instead he stays back. Quesada charges towards the left. Finally Paloto moves to the left. Quesada passes to Garcia. GOAL!!!!! Garcia gets his third. Cuba lead, 40 - 20 and seriously look in control of the game in the center. Hold on a second. The game is over. The Snitch has been caught. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... American Samoa have taken the game right out from under the Cuban's feet. Pontara has caught the Snitch and American Samoa takes the game. The final score is American Samoa 170 Cuba 40. Cuba (40) versus American Samoa (170) |

Vietnam versus Ivory Coast Vietnam Keeper: Tran Giang Chasers: Phan Binh, Nguyen Phuong, Lee Wang Seeker: Phinh Chan Ivory Coast Keeper: Kamil Zayette Chasers: Mangue Camara, Mohamed Sakho, Amara Bangoura Seeker: Ibrahima Idallo Thats right folks, we are back once again for another Quidditch world cup qualifiers. This game between Vietnam and the Ivory Coast. The teams have marched out onto the fields led onto them by their captains. Mohamed Sakho and Lee Wang the respective captains from their two sides converge in the center. The ref gives them a bit of a talking to and we are ready to go. Who will win their place into the next round, will it be the Vietnam Red Stars or the Ivory Coast Witch Doctors? Who knows, only after the game so lets get to it! All players are mounting their brooms and ready for the game. They've released the Bludgers and the Snitch. Here comes the quaffle, and we are underway here. Lee Wang, takes it first. He passes to Binh, Binh looks to go to Phuong but Sakho has his man well covered. Camara putting pressure on Binh, so Binh releases back to Wang, who dodges around Bangoura, then gets hit on the hand with a bludger and the quaffle is dropped. The Quaffle is picked up by Sakho, Sakho passes up the line to Bangoura. The three Ivory Coast Chasers are in the clear with only Binh and the keeper left it their sights. Bangoura passes back to Sakho and Sakho passes onto Camara. Camara goes for goal. For some reason he seems to be slowing down. The ref has spotted it. On the video, quiet clearly, it shows Binh grabbing the end of Camara's broom. The Vietnamese are not happy with that. They claim that he was falling off his broom and the video is unclear. Binh certainly did look unstable on the broom. The Vietnamese are not happy with the decision. Regardless is still stands. Mohamed Sakho steps up to take the penalty. Veers right. Giang follows him. Sakho speeds up and crashes right through Giang, that was a bit foul from Sakho, but it's a penalty. Giang seems to be holding his nose and blood is seeping between his fingertips. Meanwhile, Sakho goes right up to the hoop and scores to an empty hoop after seemingly breaking the nose of the Vietnamese keeper. 10 - 0 to Ivory Coast and the first goal on the board in a rather odd fashion. Giang is now being attended to by the medi-wizards who finally get to him after the penalty. So instead Binh has the quaffle. Binh streaks forward and passes Sakho, the Vietnamese are fired up after the interesting events previously. Binh with a solid pass to Wang. Wang streams forward. Phoung is open over the top and Wang sends the quaffle perfectly to him. Phoung circles on his broom. Zayette, the Ivory Coast keeper, comes out to meet him. Phoung doubles back but Zayette keeps going. Wang passes Phoung on the right hand side and Phoung slices the pass past the keeper to Wang who shoots from a distance. GOAL!!! Unprotected goals, could have gone all the way in but didn't give Zayette the chance to get back. 10 all now as Vietnam get one back for the previous goal but it doesn't look like they are through. Zayette with the quaffle. Phoung is there to pressure him. Vietnam playing very aggressive and attacking quidditch. Zayette passes, or attempts to pass to Camara but Wang gloriously intercepts it and passes to Binh, Zayette is caught up by Phoung. Binh can charge all the way in. Zayette flies back to cover the right post. Binh tries to shoot before Zayette can get back. GOAL!!! He faked the shot to the right post instead he threw it to the center. The shot was accurate and Zayette was wrong footed and couldn't save it in time. 20 - 10 to the Vietnamese, who are looking to put this game beyond doubt. Zayette, once more with the quaffle. Phoung is there to pressure again. This time the keeper can't even get off a pass. He drops the quaffle. Wang flies underneath him and scoops the falling quaffle. He speeds to the hoop. Zayette charges for Wang. They collide. GOAL!!! Wang got the quaffle to Binh just before he collided with Zayette and Binh slots it through the center hoop once more to put the game to 30 - 10. Zayette wa maybe a little too violent as Wang is now bleeding and is in need of medical attention. Woah, meanwhile in the attacking zone Phoung did not like the "close attention" the Ivory Coast players have been giving to their Vietnamese counterparts. He's grabbing Zayette by the robes. Apparently he is not happy at what Zayette tried to do there as it seemed he was going to hit the man rather then save the quaffle. This is not pretty. Meanwhile, Ivory Coast is taking advantage of Wang being in the hands of the mediwizards and Phoung has his hands on Zayette. Camara with the quaffle pushes forward cutting pass to Sakho who passes onto Bangoura. Binh tries to intercept but misses as the quaffle goes back to Sakho. The three from the Ivory Coast versus just the Vietnamese keeper. Sakho goes to Camara who shoots. GREAT SAVE!!! Giang saves the shot with his foot. He swung off his broom and kicked it forwards towards Binh. Binh has the quaffle and all three Chasers from the Ivory Coast are out of position. Binh heads in. Phoung has let go of Zayette. Binh passes to Phoung, Zayette charges Phoung throws it back to Binh. Binh shoots. GOAL!!! Vietnam have another 40 - 10 Now Phoung is in trouble. He appears to have been kicked in the face as Zayette went to save that last goal and he has fallen off his broom. Medi-wizards have removed him from the pitch and the referee has called for a foul to be taken by Binh, the last player seemingly standing for Vietnam. Binh charges in, full of anger at what happened. He shoots well wide, a bit of a wasted effort. Still Vietnam lead by 30 points. Zayette passes to Camara, who passes to Sakho. Binh steals the quaffle. Camara and Sakho go on either side. BANG!!! Binh is hit by two bludgers one to the back and one to the face. Camara and Sakho held him in place so he couldn't dodge it. Binh looks to be in a bit of trouble. Vietnam appear to be without chasers. Phoung has been knocked out, the Medi-wizards are not finished with Wang and now Binh is slowly falling to the ground on his broom after that vicious double bludger attack. Camara has the quaffle. BANG! he is hit by a quaffle. It doesn't matter. The quaffle is picked up by Sakho. Game over... The snitch has been caught. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Ibrahima Idallo has caught the snitch. Ivory Coast have come from behing and taken the game away from Vietnam. Ivory Coast go through. Ivory Coast 160 Vietnam 40. That's it, Ivory Coast is through and what a dramatic game. So the final scores are Vietnam (40) versus Ivory Coast (160) |

Jamaica Keeper: Donovan Ricketts Chasers: Jermaine Taylor, Andy Williams, Tyrone Marshall Seeker: Diana Burton Nigeria Keeper: Joanne Yobo, Chasers: Taye Taiwo, Obinna Nwaneri, Onyekachi Apam, Seeker: Chidi Odiah Welcome to what looks to be another fantastic match of quidditch. This is the Wild card entry for the Quidditch World Cup. Brought to you by the I.Q.F, the International Quidditch Federation, and the B.B.Q, Bulgarian Board of Quidditch. Today is Nigeria versus Jamaica. Jamaica is odds on favorite in this game. Their recent form in international competition has been outstanding. Their three chasers Jermaine Taylor, Andy Williams and Tyrone Marshall have dominated opposition. This looks like a great chance to get into the world cup but also some handy practice. Not to say their opponents, Nigeria, don't stand a chance because this is Quidditch and anything can happen. Teams come out, Nigeria needs to stop the effect of the three chasers, lead by Jermaine Taylor, have on the game. The game is off and we are ready to play. Jamaica, starts with the quaffle and it's as if they haven't had a break between games as the Jamaican chasers are going at a frenetic pace. Taylor, to Williams, to Taylor now Marshall. The Nigerian's can only stare. Taylor has it. Dodges a bludger. Passes to Williams, back to Taylor. He shoots... GOAL!!! Taylor gets on the board very quickly. This could be embarrassing. Joanne Yobo, Nigerian Goal Keeper and one of two females on the Nigerian team, passes it to Nwaneri, who turns in mid air but the quaffle is gone. Taylor pounces again and shoots. Yobo tries to crawl back. It's too late. Another goal to Taylor! Nigeria in trouble early. 20 - 0 Jamaica leades. Yobo cannot believe the skills of the Jamaican chasers, especially Taylor. She now passes it Taiwo, the other female on the team. She passes to Apam, who drops the quaffle, Williams has it. Passes it on to Marshall. Taylor has it once more. A shot GOAL!!!! Taylor has three and Nigeria cannot stop him. Yobo is looking for options out of here. The Nigerian coach is almost pulling his hair out of his head. He doesn't know who to take off. Nigerian chasers are under pressure. Yobo tries to pass it to Apam this time. Catches it firmly but passes it to quickly. Marshall pounces heads for goal and lobs it over Yobo. Taylor catches in front of the posts and another goal to Taylor. He has four. Yobo once again with the quaffle. Tayler stalks the keeper, A bludger is fired in her direction. Yobo screeches and throws the quaffle in the air. Taylor's got it. Yobo ducks underneath the bludger and speeds to Taylor. Taylor shoots. GOAL!!!! Taylor unstoppable. 5 goals to Jermaine Taylor. Yobo has it, looking to pass it. There are no available chasers for Nigeria. Yobo tries to go herself. Marshall and Williams swing round and charge at Yobo. Yobo looks like a deer caught in the headlights as the two big Jamaican chasers fly towards her. Williams knocks the quaffle. Marshall picks it up. Passes it to Taylor who flies in on goal. Got it!!! Number 6 for Jermaine Taylor. Scoring every single goal for Jamaica in the game. Yobo, refusing to take the quaffle, has Apam taking the first throw after the goal. He throws it long and wide. Nwaneri is flying towards it. Marshall flies over the top and intercepts it. He passes to Taylor, back to Marshall and onto Williams. Williams fakes the shot and throws to Taylor. Yobo is out of position. Goal, yes another one to... you guessed it Jermaine Taylor, goal number 7 for him and 7th for Jamaica. Yobo gets it, no options open. She draws the Jamaican chaser. Williams charges, Yobo passes to Apam, who Williams just left. Marshall flies to pressure him. Apam to Nwaneri, who Marshall just left. Taylor is cautious to leave Taiwo. Taiwo flies towards the goals. Taylor tries to chase. Nwaneri throws it long and Taiwo takes a great catch. She tries to speed away from Taylor but she can't shake him off. Ricketts shifts from hoop to hoop. Taiwo shoots from a tough angle. GOAL!!! Great shot. Ricketts was caught between two hoops Taiwo sent him the wrong way and what a goal. On top of that, the referee has called for a penalty, TO NIGERIA. It appears that after the shot Taylor crashed into the back of Taiwo. Knocking her off her broom. Taiwo is falling and... look at Taylor go after her. He catches her, mere meters from the ground. Taylor carries Taiwo back up to her broom. That was very sweet of him. Regardless, Nigeria have a penalty. Apam steps up to take it. Ricketts is swinging across the hoops. Trying to block all three. Apam flies forward as Ricketts goes left. Ricketts comes back to the centre hoop but Apam shoots to the right hoop where Ricketts was just guarding. Ricketts is caught off guard. Goal. 70 - 20 Nigeria get two back but Jamaica still has a commanding lead. Ricketts for the first time in the game has control of the quaffle. He passes to Marshall, Marshall passes to Williams. Williams passes to Taylor but it's hit him on the back of the head. It appears he was busy watching Taiwo. The Quaffle drops but Taylor is still there to retrieve it. Taylor passes back to Williams who cannot believe what just happened. Williams dodges a bludger but can't avoid the second. He is hit. The Quaffle is dropped. Marshall is one on one with Yobo. He shoots. Goal!!!! Marshall scores, 80 - 20. Jamaica looking to put this game out beyond reach of Nigeria. Yobo to start. Passes to Apam, he tries to go to Taiwo but Taylor gets himself in between the Quaffle and Taiwo, he passes to Williams. Williams in on goal. Passes to Marshall. Goal!!! Marshall scores his second for the game 90 - 20. Jamaica now, 70 points up. Yobo, tries to pass to Taiwo straight again, this time Williams steals it. Yobo can't get back. The long shot from Williams. Got it! Jamaica hit triple digits. 100 - 20. This is a nightmare for Nigeria, they can't even get one pass together. Yobo, looks for options, she certainly hasn't had the best day on the job and will be looking to forget this one quickly. Once again, she finds herself in possession of the quaffle. Looking around for an option nothing on. Marshall sneaks up behind her. What a steal. Marshall simply slips the quaffle out of Yobo's hands before she realizes it. GOAL! Marshall takes the stolen quaffle and before Yobo even realizes where the Quaffle is gone Marshall has scored. 110 - 20. Another 60 points and this game will be beyond the catching of the snitch. Nigeria is going to rely heavily on their seeker to win them the game. Yobo once again, passes to Apam, no good. Williams has the quaffle. You must be sick of hearing this but it's another goal. Can you believe it before anyone had any time Jamaica has another one. 120 - 20. The leading margain now a whopping 100 points to Jamaica. Yobo once more with the quaffle and... I'm sure you aren't surprised. That's right another turn over. Taylor this time, shoots. It's a goal. Taylor gets another, his 8th. It appears this time Taiwo was to busy watching Taylor to notice the quaffle. Another ten points to Jamaica taking them even closer to securing this game. Nigeria must remember that they are not out of it yet. Yobo, looking for an option. Taiwo seems to be caught up in a battle with Taylor, Apam gets free of Williams and goes towards Yobo. He's got it. Turns around and it's knocked out of his hands by a brilliant bludger. Williams swoops and picks it up. He throws a pass to Marshall who shoots. 140 - 20 Nigeria looks done. Jamaica is annihilating them. Yobo, passing the quaffle from hand to hand. This time she tries to go to Nwaneri. He hasn't seen much the the quaffle. Oh no, he's let it slip through his finger tips. Williams incontrol. Passes to gives it back to Williams, back to Marshall and again back to Williams. Williams flies in. 150 - 20 oh my, this is a one sided game. Jamaica need only two more goals, and keep Nigeria scoreless. Yobo has it. They just need to keep it off the Jamaicans which is easier said then done. Yobo passes to Apam, Apam flies backwards back and passes back to Yobo, this time the pass goes to Nwaneri, who tracks backwards and passes to Yobo. Nigeria are just passing it around. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... The snitch has been caught. This game is over. Chidi Odia has caught the snitch. Nigeria are the winners. What a victory. The Nigerian team swamps Chidi. They are very thank full. Yobo wraps Chidi tightly, she has been saved humiliation by him. Nigeria go through. Can you believe it? What an ending. Jamaica (150) versus Nigeria (170) |
