| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. After tireless amounts of time cleaning, Peckle and Bannishtar stepped onto the grounds. The sun shone brightly, and birds flew over and around the sky. It was so peaceful. So peaceful, even when there was a war just a month ago. Stanley and Bannishtar stepped to the middle of the grounds, armed with their cleaning implements. Stanley felt a small tear streak his face. Just the thought of people trampling on his grounds, all at the same time. He chuckled at the thought. To others, this may just be a large patch of ground, but it was like his child. He cared for it and loved it. Stanley looked at Bannishtar. "Are you ready to clean up the remainder of this mess?" He pulled out his wand and pointed it at the ground, where a bloodstained area of grass lay. He murmured something under his breath, and the blood was sucked into his wand. He smiled and bent down to the ground, grazing the green meadow. He picked up a tooth from the ground. "Must be a bit of a shock for some of the students to go home with none but a few teeth, eh?" As he said this, a raspy chuckle escaped from his mouth. He then stood up, in all seriousness, and spoke. "It's a shame some students had to die, just to protect those they love, and the school they care about. I feel like somehow it was my fault. It's part of my job to make sure these protections don't fall. Well, I couldn't have stopped it. It was inevitable. I'm getting too old. I'm not strong enough to make this school fool-proof." He shook his head. He should have been able to protect them. He cringed at the thought of more students perishing. He looked down at the grass and pulled out his wand, cleaning more. |

Banni sighed, picking himself up from the ground after having sprayed the cabbages with flesh-eating slug repellent. "I suppose we should both work together to make sure that such an incident does not happen again," Banni said, "We all had our hands tied by the Ministry last year. Such is not the case now. Matthew and I are already working on discovering the secret behind those foul things." Banni, too, wished he could have done more, even some nights told himself he could have done more, but ultimately that time had passed. Now he must focus on what he was to do now. He patted the old man's back lightly, with a reassuring smile, "Well bring the culprit to justice." Of all the humans at the school, it was the outdoors loving Stanely Peckle and creature caring Matthew Concordus that Banni most loved. They were his friends, if anyone her was to be. They worked for several hours, and soon the sky grew dark. The students would be arriving soon. "I simply hope that no more of those creatures show up," said the centaur wearily, his body aching from all the labor, "Firenze and Bane have the rest of herd taking out any of the stragglers that the Ministry may have missed. Two months later and we're still finding one or two every once in a while." Banni stood and sighed heavily. He was now much more muscular, and very tan from all the outside work he'd been doing over the summer, work which now caused him to glisten in the waning light. He turned to Stanley, who was also covered in sweat and mud. "The students well be arriving soon," said Banni, "You have to lead the first-years in, do you not? In any case, I must make sure the theastrals are tethered to the carriages and are ready to go. I shall see you at the feast, dear friend." Banni had never actually attended the feast before, preferring instead to hunt and prepare his own in solitude--at least, initially. Now it seemed Banni's herd instincts would compel him to be with the rest of his new herd. Banni galloped over to the edge of the lake, tensing up as he hastily walked into its depths. In the evening the lake water was quite cold. After a hasty bath in the lake, Banni called for the theastrals with a whistle and a hunk of rotting meat. What appeared to be bats from a distance, flying out from the dark depths of the Forbidden Forest, came to rest upon the ground in front of Bannishtar as large, horses with leathery black wings and skin that seemed to stretch over their skeletons. One could only see a theastral if that person had seen death. All of them made their way to the meat for a hasty meal before they were to be tethered and bitted. Banni lead the creatures to the carriages, which they would pull, invisible to most students. |

Stanley patted Bannishtar's hand lightly as he placed it on his shoulder. He smiled. "I really appreciate all you've done for this school, Bannishtar. With my old age and arthritis, I wouldn't have been able to help them on my own. I thank you for being here as well. I am also proud... to call you, friend." He grinned and nodded as Bannishtar told him. "Ahh, yes, I forgot about that." He pointed his wand at the tooth he'd picked up, and tapped it, it dissolving in his hand into nothing. Stanley stepped up, looking at the dark landscape that beautifully surrounded Hogwarts School. He nodded. "I shall see you at the feast, Bannishtar?" He turned and walked to the school, heading out to Hogsmeade Station to round up the First Years. |
