Read Today's Daily Prophet: Knights of Walpurgis attack Hogwarts; Belleford steps down as Hogwarts closes until further notice
Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Jacob smiled as genesis turned red, "Trust me its not problem, in fact you will be helping me out as well, I haven't had a decent go on a broom in quite a while, so really it will be the best excuse i have to get back on one" he said trying to reassure he that it wasn't a bother.

"So you've never been on a broom not just a little bit of the ground" he asked just so he could get an idea of how much work he had to do.

Genesis smiled as Jacob told her he would teach her.

"No, I've never been off the ground before-wait, does jumping count?" she asked. She laughed at her own joke. She wasn't very funny, but it was the best she could do.

Jacob continued to smile letting put a small pathetic laugh
"Well technically your off the ground, so what would mean yes, but then in what terms are you measuring it the muggle way" he said as a slight burning sensation filled his mouth as if he had just drunk poison, taking a huge gulp he continued "Or the wizard way, because we wizards wouldn't count it as you didn't use a broom" he finished realising that there was no real point to that comment but continued smiling anyway hoping she would make sense of it.
"I guess we have a lot of work to do" he said smiling at her trying not to sound stupid or rude

Genesis giggled quietly as Jacob explained measuring from the ground. She sighed when Jacob said, "I guess we have a lot of work to do."
She nodded her head in approvement.

"Yes, alot." she said in agreement.

"So, professor Jacob, when will my lesson begin?" she asked teasingly.

Jacob laughed again this time even worse, he felt like a little kid, somehow being called Professor made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up, calming himself down he began to speak, "Its actually Professor Firvin, but you can call me plain Jacob" he said smiling at her "Well ill teach you when ever you like, i actually suggest during the day then you can see what your doing" he told her he had never taught anyone else before so he was starting to get nervous thinking that he would be teaching someone.

"During the day sounds fine." she said.
A gust if wind blew over the two Slytherins. Damn, I forgot my robes inside. Genesis thought. Her teeth began to chatter as goosebumps appeared on her skin. She managed to smile at Jacob as her teeth were chattering.

"Ok, Jacob? Tomorrow, if that's not to soon." she said, crossing her fingers behind her back, hoping Jacob would teach her tomorrow.

"Yes tomorrows great in fact" he said, he had hoped it would be tomorrow but yet he also hoped it wouldn't have been so soon, he needed time to prepare something to teach her, yes he knew what he was doing when it came to flying but that was only what he read in books.
A gust if wind blew over them, he was just happy he had put his t-shirt on soon rather than later otherwise he would have been blue, he ran his fingers through his hair causing water to drip down his back making him shiver.

"You, cold?" he said, rather stupidly it was the most obvious observation

Graytalon's growl grew louder and more threatening, and Banni felt as though he could take no more. He abandoned his herd for their world, he risked life and limb against Ronin in the defense of their children--and now he was to be arrested. All calmness and sense of self-control seemed to leave him. He clenched his right fist, he could feel his entire body shaking. His breathing was loud, and without thinking, without saying anything, his left hand went for the handle of his sword, and he drew it. The SHHHING sound split the quiet of the night. He turned around to face the two men with the blade held high with both hands in battle position, the blade catching the light of the newly-risen moon. Hans backed up, his wand pointed at Banni shakily.

The Hippogriffs seemed to understand what this meant, and they all ran towards each other, grouping together at the edge of the forest for protection.

"If you'd even had the decency to come to me quietly I would have done the same for you," he growled "But if you chose to treat me as a dangerous animal that must be brought down, then I shall treat you the same, because unlike you, I treat all beings the same!"

The centaur didn't know what he was going to do; only that he thought he could dig himself no further, and though he did not want to hurt anyone, something within him would not stand the disgrace of being taken in at wandpoint like some kind of criminal.

Han's training dictated what he would do next, Banni knew this. He didn't know what Alphonse was doing, because his eyes were on the jet of red light that had erupted from Han's wand as the gaunt man cried "Stupefy!" The night was illuminated by scarlet light.

Though his mind was clouded by anger, Banni skillfully swung his sword defensively, the blade making contanct with the red jet, successfully parrying the spell, sending it flying high into the sky. Someone seeing it from afar might think it a firework of some kind. It flew into the sky and faded, returning night to darkness.

"Beatrice! Go!" growled Banni in the momentary reprieve caused by Han's shocked exclamations.

"I know how it feels" he said "Why didn't you wear a jacket" he asked concerned that she might get sicker standing out side than she would if she was actually in the prison of a school.

"I don't know if this works but I'll give it a try" he said turning to pick up his wand, as he stood back facing her he tried to remember what it was "Tang ... err, emm" he said suddenly realising how stupid he sounded "Oh I can't remember it" he said sliding his wand into the waistband of his shorts, as he did he heard a loud Clanging noise which caused him to leap forward, to take cover forgetting Genesis was standing in front of him he rugby tackled he to the ground, just as the sky shone a deep red.

He looked down in to her eyes, just realising that he was now on top of her he quickly moved sitting next to her on the ground "Sorry about that" said, though he knew that wasn't enough to make her forget what an idiot he had just been and how much of a fool he looked.

"No actually, it's ok. I don't even wanna go back in that hell-" Genesis got cut off from her sentence, from a loud boom, then Jacob tackled her to the ground.

"Um...."she managed to blurt out when Jacob was on her, looking into her eyes. She looked away as Jacob got off of her and sat down next to her. "Sorry about that." he said.

"Um...erm..ok. But what happened?" Genesis said. She looked at the direction the noise came from.

"Em...I don't know what happened, but something tells me its not good, but when has there ever been a go thing happen in this place" he said wishing that he had taken it back because he had just caused the best thing that had happened to him in this hell hole as she put it.

Part of him wished he hadn't moved of her and part of him also wished he hadn't even dived out of the way of what ever it was that caused that not, or at least to have remembered she was standing in front of him or even better that he wasn't going to get hurt by it but that was Jacob always jumping to conclusions, he just hoped Genesis would forgive him.

"Em ... So ... Sor .. Sorry, again" he said, with a sudden stutter and confusion of word, standing up he brushed him self off, before holding out his hand offering to help her up, it was the least he could do after all it was his fault she was down there.

"Do you think we should go and see?" Genesis said, taking Jacob's hand and pulling herself up.

"I mean, it looks pretty big. What should we do?" she asked.
"Oh, and it's ok Jacob. I would have probably done the same thing..." Genesis said, bringing up Jacob's tackle. She giggled to herself.

Jacob felt a cold shiver run up his arm and down his spine as she took his hand, "Well, I guess we could, its not like we can be in anymore trouble were outside already" he said not that he really wanted to go but would for her sake though he didn't let that come a cross.

"Its probably some stupid first year who got lost and scared" he said "But we wont know until we look" he said sliding his flip flops on, they weren't exactly the best shoes to were when your going to see what a doggy noise was but then again if he were to die at least he would die looking good and at this moment in time that's all Jacob could be sure about, knowing he looked good.

"Well I was only trying to look out for your safety" Jacob said trying to sound tough "I didn't want you to get killed now did I, were meant to have a lesson tomorrow" he said replying to her comment about his tackle

"Blah, who cares about getting in trouble. I'm a trouble maker for your information." Genesis said, as if getting in trouble was an everyday thing.
She smirked.

"I don't think a stupid first year would have made an explosion like that. If he/she was stupid, I'm pretty sure it would have blown up the whole school-which would have been awesome." Genesis said. She laughed to herself.

"Well Mr. Tough-Guy, seeing as you don't want me to die, I know your really looking forward to our lesson tomorrow." Genesis said. She giggled, and this time it was a girly giggle. She stopped herself from the giggle turning into a laugh.

Alphonse was a slightly shocked to see the horse parry the spell, but he didn't even blink as it rushed upwards and faded into the night.

"That's goblin steel!" exclaimed the young Ministry official, "Disarm him!"

And Hans cried out "Expelli--" but he stopped and turned around. There was a high-pitched growling noise. It took Alphonse a moment for his eyes to recognize the black shape against the blackness of the forest edge that was now behind the gaunt man, but it's sharp, glowing yellow eyes gave it away. Victor Hans screamed just as a taloned foot came crashing down upon him, and continued to scream bloody murder, piercing the night once again, as a fully-black hippogriff on top of him tore at him on the ground, letting out loud caws of fury.

Damn it, thought Alphonse, So much for quietly. I'm sure somebody can hear that...I'll have to take this where no one can see it...

Alphonse raised his wand at the centaur, who was now trying to pull the the hippogriff off the auror.

"NO! STOP!" Banni yelled. He had dropped his sword to the ground, and now had his powrful arms around the equally powrful body of the hippogriff, Nightwing. The auror cried out beneath the hippogriff blood curdling screams as he was ripped at by sharp-beaked iron jaws and scimitar-like talons. Nightwing herself seemed as though she were screaming for blood. That flash of red must have spooked her deeply. The others must have run off, but she attacked instead.

Giving one great heave Banni finally separated the old girl from her mauling the man. The centaur let out a cry and threw her with all his might away from the poor man. She landed with a thud some feet away, and must have ran off, though Banni did not see for he ducked just in time to avoid a jet of red light whizzing just over his head.

Red light illuminated Alphonse's rage-twisted features as the wizard fired a another stunner, which Banni narrowly avoided as he ducked into the trees, running into the forbidden forest for cover.

Alphonse smirked as the horse ran straight for the cover of trees, just as the Ministry wizard had hoped he would. Letting his wand hand fall to his side, he ran towards the forest, taking a quick, curious glance at the crumpled heap of the man on the ground who had just been mauled.

Victor Hans lay there curled up on the ground, blood covering his robes and the ground around him. He didn't look so much like a man to Alphonse as he did a pile of shreaded meat in a man's tattered clothing. The young wizard heard a soft wimpering, as if from a dying animal. He was surprised, really. He thought Hans would be dead already, after that kind of punishment.

Without another glance at the dying man on the ground, Alphonse ran into the forest, hot on the centaur's tail.

"Well then i guess that makes both of us trouble makers" he said smiling at her "This is sure to be a fun filled evening" ... "And i thought it was just going to be another dull night" he said

"Ok, your probably right, its not a first year, though blowing up the school sounds like a good idea" he said as he looked towards the castle imagining it in flames, smiling as he spun back to face her.

"So, what way you want to go, through the forest or around the edge" He asked, he didn't actually care what way they went, either way he was still going to be cold.

"Beatrice! Go!"

She just stood there, stunned as Graytalon cut one of the men to pieces, frightened, she ran back to the castle. The horrifying screams were echoing in her head.
