Read Today's Daily Prophet: Knights of Walpurgis attack Hogwarts; Belleford steps down as Hogwarts closes until further notice
Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Arthwen Eruwaedhiel Clover
Fourth Year

After a small bit of struggle Arthwen made it through the night having led a stranger into the school. She knew this would bite her in the ass later. The man had let her go since he was where he needed to be and Arthwen went to bed to get some sleep for the morning.

OOC: I'm assuming this is a Day 6 topic

BIC: Beau tip-toed outside, delighted with the feel if her wet skin. Noticing a faint throb, she gingerly reached for her cheek. With a sharp inhale she pulled away almost instantly after her fingers brushed the nasty bruise. If anyone asks, I fell down the stairs, fighting is too embarrassing. She let herself crumple in the long grass, "Clouds," she breathed, as if addressing them, "Wind," she spoke, and a short burst of power came to the air. "Weird, just like the draft in the Common Room, but I'm sure it's nothing. It's nothing, I'm fine." But even so, she decided to hide out for the remainder of lunch. It was one of those days where noon looked just like midnight, an trace of sun blotted out by swollen clouds. The rumbling thunder growled like her tummy, but she couldn't even think of facing the student body, she'd obviously been roughed up by someone. "Yesss..." she hissed, "and that someone had no business 'roughing me up' in the first place! Lola...." she spoke the name slowly, as if even mentioning her attacker would hurt her even more. Her mind raced with the image of Lola's fist rushing to her face, and she tensed, the vein in her forehead bulging as the wind beat the tree limbs against one another.

Banni had been patrolling the grounds for hours, his bow and quiver full of arrows on his back. So far there had been no disturbances, and students had all seemed to take the warning of the dangers of the grounds to heart. Still, Banni was deeply worried about Ronin returning. Banni knew not what sorcery it was, but he knew for certain now that Ronin was NOT acting of his own accord. Banni hadn't had the chance to speak of this to the Professors, in fact, he wanted to talk to Nate about it in private, but the immediate safety of the students came first. There was no way of knowing whether or not Ronin would come out of the forest, still under the influence of something else--that something which Banni feared for the unknown purpose this being had in having Ronin under his control. He thought it, perhaps, wrong of him to suspect wizards, but his experience living with wizards aside, he still could not deny there were humans (such as Delores Umbride) who mean nothing but ill-will towards his kind.

The clouds were dark and bloated. Thunder rumbled. A storm was coming. The wind was blowing in a westward direction as Banni headed up from the forest. Suddenly, however, the oddest thing happened: He felt the wind change direction, blowing towards the school. Actually, it was a single solitary gust. Banni found this quite odd, though it was a pleasant gust to say the least. Without really thinking through the preposterousness of there having been a REASON for the wind blowing oddly, Banni moved in the direction the wind had blown.

A ways up the hill, toward the castle, he saw the shape of a human lying in the wet grass. Banni rushed over, thinking "Oh blessed Ixion, not another one!" hoping against hope that this was not another body of an attacked student.

Banni was relieved to see that, upon closer inspection, the girl was indeed moving and breathing quite tranquilly, and nothing about her seem to indicate that she'd been attacked. Banni sighed, stopping just inches from her, his feeling of relief quickly being replaced by a sense of duty. He cleared his throat loudly to gain her attention.

"Young woman," he said sternly, looking down upon the girl with an appropriate expression, "Now you know that no one is allowed out on the grounds without permission and without an escort. It is dangerous out her. PEOPLE-HAVE-DIED!" Banni punctuated his last sentence. He really did not want to have to bring in another body.

Beau looked up from her spot to see Banni standing over her.
"It is dangerous out here. PEOPLE-HAVE-DIED!"
"I know..." she said, "I found the last one..." A sudden realization swept over her, not only had she been stupid enough to provoke Lola, she had gone outside AND talked back to a teacher, "I-I'm sorry Banni, it's just... the storm... and... I-I..." her voice cut off, she couldn't admit anything, fighting was forbidden, and Hufflepuff was already behind in housepoints! She brushed her bangs off of her face, wincing as she touched the skin. "Just go ahead and punish me. Whatever, I'm fine."

Banni's features softened. He understood: The girl wanted so desperately to be outside.

"Well," said the centaur, now considerably less angry-sounding, "I suppose I will have to punish you...In addition to 5 points being taken from Hufflepuff..." Banni smiled, then, "You will also accompany me out here after classes, on the grounds for your detention; where you will be helping me with my gamekeeper's duties. Understand?"

While there was perhaps danger outside, Banni did not see the harm if he kept a close watch on the girl. He hoped she would get his intent.

At least it's outside, but five points! she thought, almost grateful for the punishment. "Yes sir, that seems fair." She could've sworn she saw sympathy in his eyes, and she allowed herself a small smile. "See you later, then." She ran through the grass to the castle, shifting to a joyful skip for the last few yards.

Banni smiled and nodded, following Beau in after some time. He had a class to teach next.
