Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Fera Collis
Fifth Year

Fera entered the classroom. "How to calm somebody down? Seems useful." Fera took out her wand and repeated the spell om everyone, "Placate, Ian, placate, newbies, placate... Hey, where's the teacher? Well, well... I'll continue then, placate!" After a long spree of calming spells being shot around, Fera smiled at the slow moving insects. "Isn't magic great? Placate!"

Still, Fera didn't understand how a death could be so saddning. She had already gotten over her whole life going under, and was looking forward to see what would happen. "Hello... Aubrey? Wasn't that your name?" Fera smiled, "Well, how are you?"

Kelly entered the room, her ice blue eyes gazing angry over the room, noticing Ian, she went over to him, "You, De Ponte Du Lac, why isn't your wand up. This is not a time for relaxing." Kelly straightened up his chair with her wand until turning to Fera, who was casting Placate all over the place, "And you, Miss Collis, being a orphan for the second time is no excuse for being a complete idiot. Sit down immediately." She undid all of Fera's spells, and soon the insects were normal again. Then, why was so many students missing? Kelly stormed out again to find them.

Angela blinked in surprise as the Slytherin she had addressed stormed out the door. She frowned in annoyance that she was never going to get to practice the spell when two more Gryffindors came into class. She moved over to sit closer to them.

"Hi," Angela said to both. "I'm Angela."

She was going to ask about the spell when a professor came in, looked around, scolded people and stormed out. People seemed to storm in and out of rooms alot. She shook her head slightly just to wave off the incredulity she felt and turned back to the Gryffindors.

"I was wondering if I could practice Placate on one of you? I feel like I've been here forever, and no one will let me do anything."

"I'll volunteer!" Shane said as he entered the classroom, relieved that he wasn't going to be the victim of the enraged professor.

He sauntered over to the girls, and flashed a smile at a few further away - clearly they were quidditch fans.

"So - what did I just volunteer for?" He asked and set down his bag.

Angela looked up at the guy that wandered over to them and smiled happily.

"To be my guinea pig for the spell. Now, hold still." Angela waved her wand and said, "Placate".

She could tell the spell had worked, but waited a moment before asking the boy, "So, how do you feel?"

"Wai--" Shane said, being caught off gaurd by her quick spell work. He hadn't read the board or the textbook and had no clue what to expect.

"I feel great" He said and shut his eyes.
"Ooooh - a little to the left, there - yes... aaah" He said completely zoned out. It felt like a pair of hands was giving him a full back rub.

Angela giggled and said, "Well, I guess it works. Good." She let the spell go a minute longer and then took it away. "Now it's your turn. The spell is Placate."

"Uhh sure." He said and took out his wand.

"Here goes nothing... Placate!" He said and jabbed his wand at her..

Angela felt the spell effect her and every muscle in her body tensed. She waved her wand at herself and took the spell off, shaking her head and scowling slightly. She took a breath, forced a smile and said, "Um... no. I watched your wand movement. A little more flick at the end rather than a jab, ok? Try again."

"Alright." He said, totally unused to being bossed around by anyone.
"Placate" He said again, flicking his wand... this time, the flick when a little to the left and hit the curtans, causing them to go all wrinkly.
"Opps." He said sheepishly.

"Don't worry about it," Angela said, trying not to sound exasperated as she waved the curtains straight again. She was hesitant to ask him to try again so she changed the subject. "I feel silly, I didn't even ask your name. I'm Angela."

Shane looked at her incrediously, as did the posse of girls behind him.

"Uh.. Shane?" He said kind of suprised.
"I'm Shane McKay." He said a bit more certain...

Did this girl live in a box? He thought.

"Oh, pleased to meet you, Shane," Angela said calmly. She looked around at the expressions on everyones faces. "Did I miss something," she asked feeling kinda weirded out. Before anyone could answer though, she said, "Alright, Shane, you can try again if you want."

Jordan walked into the classroom, once more.

He sat down in the seat closest to the door. He looked around, disgusted to see a "pretty-boy" Gryffindor. He sat on the chair and leaned back, running a hand through his hair. Damn Professor Roberts. Damn her to hell. He sighed and took out his wand, twirling it around in his fingers.

"This best be over soon." he mumbled, not caring who heard him. Ge tilted his head and kept messing with his wand, bored.

Ian SHOULD have felt as though he wanted to curse that Fera Collis into primordial soup for even having the gaul to point her wand at him, but instead he felt oddly satisfied with simply laying back in his chair, not a care in the world. He felt...well...placated. This feeling of contentment was, however, shattered abruptly by the entrance, and subsequent scolding and forceful chair-straightening of Professor Roberts, who reversed the spell on Ian. As she left, anger and contempt returned full force.

Once the Professor left the room in a fury, Ian checked to make sure she'd gone enough of a distance before rising from his chair, slamming his hands on his desk, and addressing Fera in the most intimidating voice he could muster: "Okay, Gryffie-girl," he said eyebrow cocked in annoyance, and a vexed smirk upon his face, "Now I would hope that we've spent enough years together to know that I really don't appreciate having spells randomly flung at me! Now I know you Griffindors are supposed to be brave and all, but that's just borderlining on stupidity.

"BUT," he said as he raised his hands as if surrendering, and yet all the while smirking like a bastard, "I admit I am not unforgiving, so just go ahead and apologize like the filth you are and we'll go ahead an call it even, there. Wadaya say?"

((OOC: If you actually are on in time, Fera, perhaps this could be where we start that thing we planned earlier about Fera pissing Ian off and she being his target for his task?))

Aubrey Dior

Aubrey looked up at the voice and smiled. "Hello, Fera. I'm doing fine, thanks. How are you?" Aubrey looked to the board once again. She watched the exchange between Fera and Ian with a sense of contempt, suddenly not liking the de Ponte du Lac much. He reminded her of Jordan, Lola's exboyfriend.

Jordan turned around at the slight commotion that seemed to be going on behind him. He saw a fellow Slytherin over a Gryffindor. He smirked. Coward in fear, little Gryffie. He then looked to the girl's side and saw Aubrey Dior. Lola Dior's cousin. He felt himself glare and raised an eyebrow. He despised every girl in the Dior family. Sure, he still had some feelings for Lola, but was he actually going to admit to it without being sarcastic? No.

He decided that he'd just listen to the commotion. He'd rather not see another Dior face. He turned and faced the board, twirling his wand in his fingers once more.

Fera Collis
Fifth Year

Fera stopped smiling, "And you should have known my reputatetion before you said that. I'm Fera Collis, I don't apologize. People apologize to me." She summouned some flames after throwing her wand away, and she moved it towards Ian, touching his forehead with the immererse heat from the burning finger, "Still, I'll say sorry." Fera raised her voice to let everyone hear, "Because I'm no inbred slytherin jerk with no true values like you."

The heat from her finger increased, untill she removed it, silencing the flames with a kiss.

Angela was momentarily distracted by the scene that errupted in the room and turned to watch. Just as she turned back to Shane the bell for lunch rang.

"Oh, sorry about that. Keep practicing Shane. I'll see you later."

She flashed him a smile that only halfway hid how cute she thought he was and left the room.

Ian shrank back as the flames touched his forehead, he meant to reach up and remove her fingers from his skin, but she only increased the intensity of the heat which kept the Slytherin at bay. When she finally removed her fingers, Ian stumbled back, dumbstruck by her use of magic without a wand.

"Y-You..." he said, dumbfounded and indignant. However, he did not draw his wand. Such was not like him, unless someone drew theirs first. Instead, he made an almost-successful attempt to straighten himself up, and accused in the most indignant anger possible, "How dare you touch me you--" But then he stopped, and actually made a successful attempt at looking snarky. He smirked: He recognized her name.

Fera Collis...she's on my list...

"Well, well," he said with a condescending smile, "Griffie-girl's got some spunk...not surprising really." He turned towards the door and waved his hand dismissively.

"I'd love to stay and play," he said, "but I really don't have time for weaklings right now. You know, places to go, filth to put in its place. I'll see you around." And he made for the door, all the while confirming in his head that she was to be his target...even though part of him--the part he's tried for the past 2 and a half years to hid away--was still quite hesitant to harm anyone over such trivial matters.

But it isn't trivial, really he thought, Your future depends on it.
