| Read Today's Daily Prophet: Knights of Walpurgis attack Hogwarts; Belleford steps down as Hogwarts closes until further notice |
| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Arthwen and Will entered the grounds tugging her brother along. "So, where did you want to explore?" She asked, letting go of him. |

"I dunno." Will said and looked at the different plants in the garden they were walking past. "I feel like we never spend time together anymore." He admitted honestly. |

"I know, I'm sorry." She hugged him. She started to walk along the forest edge. "Too bad we can't explore there." She commented. |

"I know - " Will agreed with is 2min older sister. "Remember the forest up near grandpa's house? We used to have so much fun walking along and climbing the tre- ooohf!" Will had tripped over a large root. "Ow." he said and looked at his knee. His pants had ripped, and it was skinned prety bad... blood started to weld. Will just shrugged and stood up. "No laughing!" He ordered, "I know I'm clumbsy." |

Arthwen tried not to laugh. "I'm sorry... clumsy goof." She bent down and tried to clean it up with her wand... but she didn't know too much. "Ugh, I guess we'll... what's that noise?" She asked. |

Will froze and listened. It sounded like little feet and he heard an evil laughter. He turned towards the forest... and saw a silhouette of something sinister. |

William screamed as something attacked him. He tried to get it off him but the Red Cap would not come off. Pulling at his hair and throwing punch after punch Will eventually went unconscious but the thing kept punching. |

Arthwen fiddled with her wand trying to keep it steady and fired jinxes and hexes one after another trying to get the Red Cap off her brother. Nothing worked. Finally, one of her jinxes knocked it back into the woods and it ran off. She ran to her brother and tried a spell. "Ennervate." But nothing happened. She tried again. "Ennervate. Ennervate. Ennervate. Will! Wake up." She shook him trying to get him to wake up. She laid over his body bawling. He was gone. |

William watched his sister from above, she laid on his body and cried. He went down, gave her a hug and whispered in her ear. "I'll always love you, Big Sister." He turned around and went towards the light... and out of existence. |

Arthwen felt a warmth then heard her brother's voice whisper in her ear. She looked to see him, but he wasn't there. She laid back down on her brother's body and continued to cry. ((Cue someone else... preferably a professor...)) |

Beau had run to keep up with the twins, but was a good ways behind when she had heard signs of a struggle. Slowing her pace she tip-toed, wand out. "Arthwen..." she whispered, "Pssst! Arthwen, Will? You there?" She turned the corner, and saw Arthwen laying on top of Will, small frame wracked with choking sobs. Her mouth agape, she dropped her wand and ran to Arthwen. "Is he..." she gulped, "He can't be...." Beau reached a hand to the other girl's shoulder, trying to be of some comfort. Though she had barely known Will, Beau's heart ached with the thought of a life taken so soon, and her mind raced with the repercussions of his death, brought on by a dark creature, no doubt. A fierce wind shook the trees, Beau looked up into the dim forest, imagining all of the things lurking inside. The wind continued, gust after gust of sheer power, ruffling the hair of the lifeless Ravenclaw, making him seem in only a peaceful sleep. She shook her head, she couldn't be the calm one, not frazzled Beau, not now. Dashing behind a tree she threw up, the sight of the bruised and bloody body blazing behind her eyes. She took her friend's hand, "Arthwen, we have to get out of here... we'll get a professor and come back for the..." Pulling the limp hand closer she continued, "Come back for the body." |

Arthwen felt Beau's hand in hers. How can she have me just leave him. What can a Professor do? He's already dead and it's all my fault! These and other thoughts raced through her mind as she took back her hand, got up and walked silently back to the school. Alone... she would cry over her late brother's death. In her thoughts she swore she would never speak again. She didn't deserve to. She left the grounds, no longer sobbing outside but she was crying within. ((Thanks Beau!)) |

Pulling Arthwen to her side, and picking up her wand, Beau led the zombie-like girl back to the school, all the time murmuring quiet words of encouragement. "It'll be okay..." she whispered, holding back her own tears. |

Banni galloped through the gradually thinning forest, worry and pure adrenaline holding back the pain in his body. As he came closer to the edge, he heard a loud screech, and he knew instinctively what it was, before it lunged at him out of the bushes. "Foul creature!" and he kicked the Red Cap hard as he passed, sending it flying into a large stone. Banni heard a loud CRACK sound that filled him with vindictive pleasure. Another of Magorian's killers was now dead. But even as he thought this, he knew that the creature must have been the source of the commotion, and as he finally reached the clear open fields and bright blue skies of the castle grounds, his heart was filled with dread. He saw the body lying there, just as he exited. A small boy. Banni stopped dead in his tracks. The boy was beaten and bloody. Banni's jaw clenched, and his body shook in a manner that had nothing to do with the weakness in him from the earlier battle. That foul creature had killed the boy. This much he knew. Of if only he hadn't been wallowing in his own selfish pain! He could have been back sooner! Gregori was right. Without a word, the centaur lifted the body with his uninjured arm, the boy was so small and lifeless that he could do it with ease--Banni was saddened by just how easy it was to lift him, a living body gives more resistance--and carried him back into the castle. |

If we see a man glorifying his race, gender, or creed, we can understand there is nothing about himself that deserves glorification.

OOC: I'm just gonna imagine as if this was earlier. BIC: As the first glimmers of light passed over the horizon, the gleaming rays passed over the grounds and everything on it. Water droplets which sit idly in the grass shined miraculously and gave the grounds a breathtaking glow which was almost unparalleled. The grass was almost completely flawless in this brand new day, but there was one single obscenity that didn't mix with the display - Hellius Surla. He lay there in the wet grass that was covered in dew unmoving and completely calm. The expression upon the boy's face showed nothing but complete peace and as he lay there, a drip of dew slid down a blade of grass that hung over the boy's head. It slipped down to the tip of the grass and then dropped down, splattering on the boy's forehead. Hellius' eyes shot open and he sat up as quickly as he could. Looking around with a look of panic upon his face, he sighed and then fell backwards, remembering the events of the night before. Surprisingly to him, his head completely ached from an unknown reason. He rubbed his temple on the right side of his head with his right index finger and held his eyes closed tight. He laid there on the grass for a good couple of moments until a strange sensation rolled over Hellius. He felt like there was a vortex spinning within the center of his body and it was pulling him inside with a large amount of force. Hellius awoke and felt as if he were falling for a brief couple of seconds before crashing onto a stone floor below him. This floor was eerily familiar and as the dampness reminded him, he absolutely hated where he was at that current moment. " Goodie, " Hellius said, pushing himself back to his feet." What do I owe the undenia--- What the fuck is this? " The Gryffindor looked up in awe as he saw the ghostly form of two beings that were fighting each other in the midst of his subconscious. One was a chimera, which he decided was Flauros; but this second figure, this intruder, was something that indeed surprised him. A quite large werewolf clashed against this chimera and was fighting valiantly. These two beings seemed equally matched, and to Hellius' surprise, they didn't stop as he arrived. They continued to rip and tear at each other and as the powerful surges of magical urges exploded around them, the magical beasts seemed to use other forces than just their brute strength; Hellius had to wince to stare onto the battle. Finally, there was pause that made the two beings stop. They stared at each other with a disturbing glare and then the werewolf began to fade; disappearing completely soon after. Hellius blinked and tilted his head to the side, almost as if a confused puppy would. He opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. He wasn't sure what to do, or how to react, or how to take in this situation. Before he could spit out words, however, the demonic form of Flauros opened his mouth and changed back into his casual form that appeared like a demented Hellius. "And that would be a little gift that dear Nathan Aphelion left us, Hellius," the parasite hissed, running its hand through his dark hair. "You see, he is convinced that he will be able to… keep me in check with some sort of other bodily figure inside of your body. It, like me, has a singular mindset of its own, but apparently, he doesn't choose to use it at this particular moment. This spell that Mr. Aphelion used was similar to what my master used to put me in here. However, it seems that when it was placed here, it was already at its full capacity for power. I, however, grow as you do, except at a faster rate. I have drawn you here simply because I believe that you have found the certain emotion that does affect shadow controlling. Under beneath you when your anger was literally surging from your body, I saw ripples through the dark atmosphere that was almost completely unnoticeable. But I saw it." "I see. What does this mean for me, then?" " You can learn shadow controlling, you ignorant boy. I will be a guide to show you how to…" " Teach, teacher." Flauros sighed and then took out a spike that was his wand. The room they were in suddenly changed to something different; it was better lighted and it was almost like a basement. There was light that emitted from nowhere and the two shadows of the figures reflected against the wall with great magnitude. "What you want to do is to focus all of your attention onto the shadows and try at all possible to make sure that nothing else whatsoever interrupts your view. Once you accomplish that, you'll want to use that spell that Tortal told you about yesterday, using that specific wand movement." Hellius sighed and retrieved his own wand, turning towards his own shadow indefinitely. He stared at it for a long period of time until the point of where he could see nothing else but the shadows that moved in unison with him. There was a short pause in his brain functions, but he slowly began to raise his arm; trying at all possible to make sure that he didn't screw up his concentration. He began the wand movement that he remembered quite vividly and then opened his mouth to speak. " Compos elementum." He said. There was a slight wave that washed over Hellius' shadow but nothing indefinitely happened. He dropped his arm and sighed. "There would have been more activity, but you are not showing the correct emotion. Anger is what you need, and until you get it, you will not see much activity with your shadows, dear boy." "And unfortunately for you, Flauros, you will not be able to physically interfere with Hellius' business for quite awhile!" A voice boomed. "Shut the fuck up, you retarded wolf!" Flauros yelled back at him. "It's Thorus to you, demon," he called back. "You see, if Flauros ever gets the urge to do anything that affects you on the outside, Hellius, I will react and stop him. However, since it seems that he will be… assisting you, I suppose that I will allow a simplistic visit in here once and awhile. He can talk to you subconsciously as well." Thorus had completely missed the section of the conversation that told Hellius that Flauros' power increased as Hellius' did. "But I must be off. I will be attending to the various inner wounds that have been caused. Farewell." "Damn pansy," Flauros muttered. "I heard that." Hellius sighed through this insane nonsense that continued even after he stopped paying attention. He turned back to his shadow and began to practice the wand movement and the incantation a few times before yawning and noticing a seemingly different change in weight off his entire body. He could move quicker, but whatever this new entity was doing, he was enjoying the new freedom that he could now feel. But through the consistent yammering that continued… "I'm going to annihilate you eventually. I hope you know that." "Hahaha! You can try, Flauros!" Hellius couldn't seem to shake off a feeling that made him distraught. Wait a second… Flauros had complete control at all times. Freedom… My God. Many different possibilities became aware to him that he didn't acknowledge so long ago. As he attempted to interpret this mentally, he began to fade from the alternate world with the two figures still continuing to argue in the background. Soon enough, he was gone from the subconscious universe and back in the real world with new-found knowledge. Hellius awoke and he squinted hard in reaction to the sunlight. It was unexpected and bright, so unlike what it was earlier. He guessed that at least a couple of hours passed, but he couldn't dreary on it for that long. Jumping to his feet, Hellius left the grounds. |

Savannah made her way to the school grounds from the Ravenclaw dormitory alone. Happily she carried her favourite beach bag and dressed in her favourite bikini. It probably wouldn't be warm enough to sun bathe again until late spring and so she was going to take full advantage of the nice weather. Spreading out her towel, she lay down comfortably and slipped on her sunglasses. Happy, Savannah rummaged through her bag and pulled out her WWN and found good reception for a teen music station. Humming along, Savannah flipped through the daily prophet... She read her horoscope and then found the crossword to keep her occupied. ((Anyone is welcome to join)) |

Matthew wandered out onto the grounds, bottle of muggle whisky in hand, slightly drunk but drowning his sorrows and the shock of the last night death of student away and the events of the forset with Banni and co. He stumbled accross the grounds towards the forest where he, with some other Professors were now going to be keeping a look out on as more students went to Hogsmeade, meaning others would find this a chance to sneak into the forest, such as Fera, the Gryffindor girl did, first time around, as it was belived by the students that nobody would be keeping a look out, however him and the others would be. Matthew, The care of magical creatures professor, along with Banni were meant to control the creatures, however they had failed only once, thus a death happening, however it was not all their fault. He wandered past a girl who was sunbathing, he continued to drink even if the girl saw him doing so, he then continued until he reached near, but not too near to the forest and collapsed onto a rock. |

Savannah looked up as a professor saunterd by her. She smiled, and would've continued reading if he hadn't have passed out. She rolled her eyes and put the paper down. Savannah carefully went towards the teacher and gave him a slight tap with her foot, hoping to wake him up. She noticed the whisky bottle clenched in the professor's hand... how badly she wanted to try just a drop, but didn't dare make the attempt. |
