Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Locations Outside of Hogwarts

If we see a man glorifying his race, gender, or creed, we can understand there is nothing about himself that deserves glorification.

I know that the roleplay is called Hogwarts Interactive Roleplay, but I don't want the countless amounts of character development that we placed into our characters to go to waste. There are already locations out of Hogwarts (Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, Ministry of Magic, etc), but I think it should be expanded beyond that to include all of London, or all of France, or some other locations. Instead of having our original characters drop off the face of the roleplay, we could have locations for them to socialize, meet, plan, fight, get married, have children, and all that stuff outside of the school. We can make a second generation of children based off the original characters and have different ways that other students would respond to them based off what their parents did. I think it would add some extra spice to the site once we get to that point.

Fourth Year

Hogsmeade is good for character development, and MOM is good for the school-wide plot we've got.

I personally love the idea, although I agree it should begin when out characters are older and perhaps become the new professors, or jobs outside the school.

I will really go with what the general thought is, but I do like :P

Kidnapped!

I'm all for it but we're a long way off at this stage. :)

But also aren't we planning some mamoth monumental war between everyone at some point? Isn't that where the factions are gonna come in?

Hehe. Intersting.

I was a mod at on a board and we decied to expand... originally we had just the school... then we expaned in one shot to having a college and a villiage. It was a lot of work, and it turned out amazing.

The problem we encountered was not enough active members - which definitely doesn't seem like a problem on this board :D

You'd probably need more moderators (ie an election...).

I personally think we should work on developing the ministry of magic to impliment the current plot

I'm going to with hold my vote - I want to say "yes, but wait a bit"

I say we should add extra areas as needed. No need to go crazy with other locations that are just there for no reason cluttering up the site.
