Read Today's Daily Prophet: Knights of Walpurgis attack Hogwarts; Belleford steps down as Hogwarts closes until further notice
Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Garrett entered the Owlery from the Great Hall. He went to the owl that he had sent his letters with and noticed that there was another ribbon on it, but this one was white. He smiled. His dad must have replied. He untied the ribbon from the black and blue streaked owl. The letter dropped down and he smiled. He opened the parchment and it was in his dad's neat handwriting. He read it.

Garrett,

Glad to see you're having fun. Hogwarts is great, hm? Well, then I won't come get you, haha. Well, the house is great. All your things are in good condition. I didn't let anyone, especially your sister, get to 'em. Your trading cards are on your desk, along with your special pen that Gramma gave you for your 6th birthday. We all know how you love to write. Heh. We're all doing fine, and your brother and sister miss you. Tell us about what you are doing at Hogwarts! We'd love to hear from you!

Love,
Dad

Garrett smiled. He loved his parents. He then took a piece of parchment from his rucksack and began to write. His parchment was clean, and the blue lines showed clearly on the piece. He pulled the quill out from his robes pocket and placed it squarely on the paper.

Dad,

I'm real glad that you guys are doing well. Hogwarts is great, as I said in my previous letter. I love the place, and I got the best brewed potion in my first class. I also won a potion in Herbology, but I left before I got it. Because I won in potions, though, I got me a Strengthening solution, an OWL level potion. OWL stands for Ordinary Wizarding Level. So, yeah. It's supper right now, and I was just with my friends in the Great Hall. My friends names and houses are; Ben Thomas, Hufflepuff; Tristan Nightshade, Ravenclaw; Savannah Edkins, Ravenclaw; Georgia Rupes, Hufflepuff; Beau Armistead, Hufflepuff; Arthwen Clover, Hufflepuff; William Clover (Arthwen's brother), Ravenclaw. Yeah. I made a lot of new friends, and there is a lot of stuff to eat here. I had Divination today, and our teacher is a Centaur! In general, Hogwarts is real fun, and I don't really want to leave!

Love and Magic,
Garrett Redshot

He tied the parchment to the white ribbon and then tied the ribbon to the owl. He smiled and looked at the owl, then put it on his forearm. He walked to the window and put his arm out so the owl could fly. It flapped its wings graciously and dropped one black feather and it slowly glided down. Garrett watched it as it fell. It peacefully fell upon the Black Lake and sat cleanly atop the water. He smiled to himself softly and then looked out at the window. The lake was beautiful, and there were so many owls flying in and out. He smiled again and left the Owlery to the Hall again.
