Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? The gaze made him uncomfortable. Finally, John plucked up the courage to ask the teacher what was up. "Why" John paused wondering how to word the question without coming off rude "are you starring at me?" John finished, finally swallowing the knot in his throat. He waited tentatively on the reaction of the teacher and hoped she was nice.

It would make it easier in my mind, I would be able to focus more on what I'm summoning. I'd planned for Addie to not get it the first couple times, than to say the spell and object together and finally get it.

I'm sorry if I freaked you out or anything." She smiled sweetly and continued writing notes about the class. OOC||To use the harder verision, you would need to raise you wand into the air, not being able to channel it at a specific thing. It would rather be spread out every direction than one way, all searching for the closest of the thing wanted. I believe that the magical ability would need to be much higher to channel a single line of magic, although invisible, than spreading lots of magic around to search for something. See the logic?

BIC - Tristan's happy exclaimations turned to one of shock as his wand flew from his hand and into the awaiting digits of Julian. The shock and despair of losing his wand had him on his feet immediately and jumping voer desks to get to Julian, "Give that back you asshole!" Yet he couldn't do anything; to attack the maniacal Slytherin would surely result in an attack he couldn't defend without a wand.

But, as was his way, he didn't show his thoughts openly by declaring a side either way. Julian knew he was behind him 100% and so didn't need to have it declared, and by remaining quiet he wasn't ditching Tristan either. And there in lay his power. Still, the entire time he was hoping that Julian would strike. Strike him down. Make him squirm!

Without a wand your in no position to threaten. Yet the remote possibility that he would follow through with it left Tristan feeling horrible inside, as though a part of him was about to be broken forever beyond repair. In the magical world his wand was like a part of his soul; without which he wasn't whole. He fell to his knees, pleading, "Don't! Please don't!" He hated showing weakness in front of him but with Julian's instabilty it was always possible he would do it, just to defy logic and expectation.

He leaned forward, getting close to the boy's face, "What will you do, Tristan? Why should I not snap your livelihood, sending you back to the muggle world you hold in such high regard? Isn't it what you want? What will you do to stop me?"

Yet the scene that she found made her freeze in her tracks: Tristan was on his knees before Julian, who held two wands, the second of which was obviously Tristan's. She quickly glanced about the room but no one else seemed to be responding. The unusual Slytherin from breakfast was in the room but he didn't seem to be joining in with either side which only confused her further about him. She drew her wand and pointed it at Julian's back. "Give it back to him, Julian! Even your not quick enough to avoid me this close!"

He would love to stun her and get her out of the equation but to do so would show his hand. If a fray broke out he was confident he could surreptitiously do what was necessary.

Growling audibly, he slashed the air with both wands, pointing Tristan's back at its master and his own towards Riley, crying out, "Immobulus!" He was not stupid enough to use his typical assortment of Dark spells in front of a teacher. He wasn't entirely sure what would happen from using two wands but figured it would be enough.

It wasn't like the Full Body Bind where he was frozen stiff, but rather he was sort of just....suspended in place where he kneeled, like being in water. OOC - Thinking of the pixies in CoS movie.

The Slytherin rivaled Tristan in agility and reflexes and it was no wonder he always did well in DADA. With an extremely hurried stab of her wand, the incantation was barely off her tongue when the Shield appeared, saving her from the Jinx in the nick of time. She saw that Tristan was not so lucky. Yet she didn't allow herself to become distracted, responding with the Disarming Charm in kind, eager to end the pointless dueling before it escalated and got them in trouble.

Every, single, frigging opportunity where you can annoy someone, piss someone off or cause some useless pain, your ugly face is right in the thick of things behind it all. Don't you get sick of it? I mean honestly, don't you EVER get sick of it?! Bah!" She still held Tristan's wand, walking over to where her friend was frozen. "Finite," waving her wand over his torso, offering his wand back to him.

Grinning up at Riley, he took his wand and got to his feet, casting a glare at Julian. "I can't believe I begged you," he muttered to himself. "At least you finally mastered the spell, Julie! Took you long enough!" His use of the nickname 'Julie' he knew would get a rise from the house proud Slytherin - it always did. Tristan was desperate to reestablish his dominance over the boy in any way he could.

It clattered to the ground and was still before he snatched it back. "Why? You know why! You all deserve it! It's my duty to make you all feel like shit!" He heard Tristan use the name he HATED and was a second away from using the Dark Magic he had forced himself not to earlier. Yet he caught a glimpse of Damien and decided to take a leaf from his book, calming himself and taking his seat. Julian spun around and obnoxiously blew a kiss to Riley, "One day you'll come begging on your knees to be with me. And I'll be waiting." He spun back, laughing rudely at the discomfort the words would cause.

"Accio," he repated over and over, finding that rage was enabling his spell to work perfectly everytime. Now with 3 dusters, a piece of chalk, an old copy of the Daily Prophet and some old candy wrappers on his desk, he pented his anger by igniting the goods and watching them burn. "Incendio." The small pile quickly ignited and burnt surprisingly quickly, leaving nothing but some smouldering embers.
