Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

If we see a man glorifying his race, gender, or creed, we can understand there is nothing about himself that deserves glorification.

Hellius wrapped his arm around Addie and pressed his bloody hand against her mouth. There needed to be as little sound as possible during this time, and the slightest bit of sudden decibel explosion would give away their position.

"Breathe calmly," he hissed in her ear. "Stay calm, and don't squirm. There needs to be as little noise as possible..."

The stampeding grew louder and louder until the point of where Hellius could hardly hear anything else over the noise; not the breathing of the girl beside him, nor his own. It was like a hurricane. Hellius gazed towards the small opening in the tree and watched intently as dust floated through the air and made it look like a sandstorm in a desert.

The stampede grew louder as Garrett shut his mouth and held his breath. He gulped and coughed quietly. God, I need to get out of here!! I wish I could Apparate!

Addie nodded ever so slightly, tensing faintly and remaining as still as possible. She focused on the entrance as the sound grew louder and louder, until it was all she could hear.

What are they? She wondered silently, glancing in Hellius' direction from the corner of her eye, for reassurance. Even though she couldn't see him through the darkness, she felt a little better knowing the boy was there with her.

Ugh... Whatever that screech was, it wasn't good to make these things run away, especially in a huge group like this. It's a good thing we don't have to hide from the worst of the beasts...

Hellius continued to sit still and utterly calm. He didn't even realize that he wasn't breathing. Though he tried to show utter calmness to settle the girl that sat beside him now, he was truly scared out of his mind at that moment. One mess up and everything he had done would be a complete waste.

The stampede grew to be like an earth quake in essence. Everything shook and the sound was phenomenally loud. Soon, however, the creatures' storming grew further and further away until it was almost completely silent once more. Hellius finally took a breath after what seemed like minutes.

God, its only getting darker! I need to get out of here. Maybe the monsters have left! Garrett poked his head out of the trunk and glanced to the left and right. Although he couldn't see through the darkness, he knew that something was there. He put out his wand and whispered the incantation, "Lumos." There was a very small dim light around the wand, that extended his sight to a few feet. He didn't see anything. So, he ran for it! He jumped out, and much to the dislike of his common sense, he kept running. He heard footsteps behind him, but he didn't slow.

Addie remained frozen throughout the stampede, not moving, not breathing. As it grew almost silent once more, the girl allowed herself to relax somewhat, casting another glance in Hellius' direction. She wanted to ask him whether he'd thought they'd left or not, but was still too anxious to speak.

Hellius took his hand off of Addie's mouth and gradually took back his arm that was wrapped around her. He sat rather cautiously as he stared out into dark of the night and wondered if it were over. Opening his ears for any sort of sound that would distinguish activity other than the two that sat in the tree, Hellius closed his eyes. After a moment or so of listening, he heard rustling. He froze.

Five red caps were surrounding the puddle of blood that had been left from Hellius' wounds. They were glancing back and forth to each other and seemed to be discussing it. One of them got onto their knees and pressed their face against the blood. It inhaled deeply and then looked up at the other 4 red caps. Saying something in what seemed like their own language, it got back to it's feet and looked over the ground.

Oh shit... Was there a trail of blood?

Leaning forward slowly and feeling around the area on the inside of the trunk, Hellius' eye twitched and he slowly leaned back against the tree trunk.

We're screwed.

Retrieving his wand, Hellius glared at the opening. He wasn't going down without a fight.

Addie remained still, clutching her wand in her hand. What had the Headmistress and Professor Stuart discussed that day? Something about centaurs, and some creature she forgot the name of... And Redcaps.

Redcaps? Hold on a second... Oh God we're in trouble. Redcaps are attracted by blood... If there are Redcaps out there they'll find us no problem, we're covered in blood... Addie thought anxiously.

Simple charms and hexes could stop Redcaps, unfortunately, her mind was blank, she couldn't think of any. And of course, it wouldn't make a difference if there were a lot of them.

Well, who says they're Redcaps? Could be something else... Just 'cause there's been a problem with them lately, doesn't mean it is... She thought hopefully.

The red cap that sniffed Hellius blood led the rest of them in tow. He stared at the ground and was attracted by the interesting smell released from the drying blood. Growing closer and closer to the tree, the bloodthirstiness of the redcaps grew more and more; they were rioting, exited by being able to shed blood once again. They grew closer and closer towards the entrance into the hollow tree trunk.

Hellius jumped to his feet and scurried out the tree without saying a word to Addie. He was to attack first, not wanting to be a burden in any sense. He was wounded and if the red caps found them both at once, they both would be screwed. The injured Gryffindor didn't know what he was facing, but he faced it anyways. The trail of blood was evident, and it led to them. The pain was still making aftershocks through his body, but Hellius fought through it.

Exiting the tree, the redcaps found Hellius almost instantly. Charging at him with their clubs, he met their aggressiveness with his own. Under the moonlight, the young man could barely make out the features of the creatures, but it didn't matter. They were attacking him and that's all that made a difference. As the red cap that was leading them all charged head first at Hellius, he stepped out of the way and kicked his foot at it. He missed, and one of the other red caps came and whacked his leg. From the already occurring wounds, the pain was heart stopping and Hellius fell to the ground. The red caps jumped on top of him and started to beat him with their clubs until more blood began to flow from already open wounds.

It was at this point that Hellius felt uncontrollable anger. He sheltered himself from the variety of different attacks sent at him and took the pain. The adrenaline and endorphins that were running through his body made him ignore the pain and feel a tense sense of hate for everything around him. The anger grew... and grew as the red caps continued a senseless beating.

He snapped.

Yelling out at the top of his lungs, as the next club was thrown down at him, Hellius grabbed it with a strong grip and held on. The Gryffindor's anger surged and he was staring straight at the bloody red cap. A great deal of sadistic urges flowed through him, and what was unbeknown to him was that the shadows around him from the moonlight above were reacting. They were peeled off the ground and were almost as if tentacles of an octopus. They swung violently and sent the redcaps flying in various directions.

Pushing himself back to his feet, Hellius almost fell over due to muscle weakness. Fighting through it, he limped to one of the red caps and stepped on it violently. Bones from the tiny little elf creatures snapped and its blood began to flow out steadily from its body.

Turning back to the other red caps which began to charge at him, Hellius raised his wand at them; he forgot he had it until that moment. He flicked it 4 times and repeated the same spell each time.

"Razorus!"

As the remaining four redcaps were sliced up repeatedly and to the point of death for the majority of them, Hellius yelled out again in a triumphant roar of glory. The adrenaline was still pumping through his system and he was continuing to feel an urge to inflict pain on everything around him. A fearful groan was heard by Hellius from one of the red caps upon the ground. Turning his head slowly to look at the bleeding beast, the young man looked almost as if he were a starved animal. Smirking sadistically, he limped towards the creature as it squirmed in an effort to move; a useless attempt for the injuries were stopping all movement.

Breathing heavily now, the animal stopped over the red cap and smirked down at it with a heavy look of bloodlust in his eye. Grabbing it by the neck, Hellius lifted it up and held it right up to his bloodstained face. The Gryffindor squeezed and squeezed and laughed continuously. The red cap couldn't breath. Soon, it released a small yelp in an effort to get help, but it was hopeless. A snap emitted from the beasts neck and it fell lifelessly.

Throwing it down to the ground, Hellius glanced around, growling with maleficence. There was nothing left, and he hungered still. Limping off and away from the hiding place he was just occupying, Hellius left the girl he willingly protected to save his own skin to go elsewhere; the school.

Garrett continued to run, his wand above his head, the dim light at the tip shining. He panted as he ran. He was still concerned for everything he heard. "Is anyone here!?" he screamed, slowing to a halt. "Anybody!?" He panted. "Nox." he said. Garrett pointed his wand up, "Flipendo!" The blast was sure to attract attention. He needed all the help he could get. He had no idea where he was, except that he was in the forest. God, I need to get out! He panicked and ran through the forest. He'd forgotten that he extinguished his wand! "Lumos!" he yelled, and the wand shone brightly. It dimmed slightly, but still a powerful light. He charged through the forest in any direction, running from the sound of anything he heard, even a bird chirping.

Gulping, he started towards a small light. It got larger and larger as he ran closer. He reached the light. "Nox." he whispered. He was on the grounds. He ran farther from the forest. Garrett left the Forest and ran to the grounds.
