| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. His entire head was spinning as Hellius ran deeper and deeper into the Forbidden Forest without stopping for a long time. The healer, who was an official at the school, would obviously would have caught him and sentenced him to a punishment that would be even worse than a teacher would've given. It would have involved a referral to the Headmistress, and little did he know how bad she would react to how he preformed on so many different occasions. He wasn't to be caught again because he would have to face shit at school, and at home for his offenses. Hellius' grandmother was, as she put it, his attorney, his enemy; his friend, his interrogator, his mentor; and if necessary, his executioner. Whatever he did fell on his shoulders and he was to pay for his own misdeeds one way or another. Tripping on a set of roots, but soon stumbling back to perfect balance, he continued until finally no sound could be heard except the heavy breathing coming from his mouth and the slight sound of wind blowing through the trees. Stopping at a certain sturdy tree, he pressed his hand against the bark and leaned his body weight against the wood to catch his breath quicker. Sweat slowly trickled down his brow, and he wiped it to rid the annoyance of the feeling of liquid dripping down his body. The events of in the main corridor still raced through his mind without end so Hellius could continue to comprehend what happened. Ian... attacked him, and that made him his enemy. He didn't care if he was an ally to Julian, but Hellius himself wasn't; not yet. He wasn't to trust those that attacked their allies, but the dishonorable display that the Slytherin had exposed showed to him that he was a traitor; he was a simple blood traitor that should die along with his mudblooded comrades. Feeling a strong sense of nausea, he fell to it and spewed out obscured pieces of stuff along with a mixture of dark red. It was the demon again, he was sure, and by this, Hellius could tell that it wasn't happy. Chicken shit! You ran away! And face a fucking fight from 4 people at the same time? No way! You forget that you are never alone, boy! It was 2 - 4, a simple fight that would have ended with all of those people dead! I would suffer for your misdeeds, Flauros! You may not be on the outside, but I am! What ever my body does, I pay for it! Which is why you leave one alive, but badly injured, and plant false memories in their mind! Make it look as if they did it! Even so... There is no exception or excuse! That is what you must do! If you know so much, then teach me! There was a long pause from the side of the demon and no response was heard for a good minute or two. Hellius almost began to walk deeper into the forest, but finally, the demon responded to him. It was soft and not as raspy or deep as it was before; he seemed calm for the first time in ages, but he was still as intense with his tongue as before. So be it. You are weak, despite your grandmother giving you a beating, but I suppose that just shows me that... you CAN take a beating. That's widely surprising, but good. You will need the stamina. I will teach you when the time is right, Hellius. It is soon, but not now. |

Hellius had sat himself down on the ground to rest and gather his thoughts without rushing into primordial and barbaric acts to release emotions. That was another thing he was taught over the summer break, but he always seemed to overlook it. However, after today, he was to consider it, speaking of the circumstances involved. Deciding to head back to the castle, he picked himself up and then walked back to where he guessed the school was located. He left the Forest. |

Hellius rushed back into the Forest. He ignored the slight ringing that was echoing through his head and ears, and didn't notice the slight tingling of his eyes as they changed into a dark maroon. He wanted to get away despite the dangers that would come from going into the forest. His paranoia had gotten the best of him... Hmph... |

Addie entered the forest, glancing around nervously. She peered through the dark, trying to spot his fleeing form. "Hellius? Is that you? Listen, I'm not dragging you back to the castle to turn you in or anything. I just don't think you should be in the forest, it's really dangerous." She called, staying relatively close to the edge of the forest. As long as I can see the edge, I'm fine... Right? |

Hellius wanted to ignore the sound of the girl's voice behind him simply because he could barely hear her at all. However, an impulse shot through him that made him stop almost immediately. Turning around, he looked back at Addie as she stood at the edge, still too chicken to enter the forest. "I don't believe you!" He called back, soon going behind a set of trees to try and get an element of surprise. |

"Well why not?" She called, somewhat exasperated. "How hard is it to believe that weak little me is trying to help you?" She called, a somewhat sarcastic edge to her voice. "Lumos." Addie whispered, scanning the area with the small amount of light, grateful for it's presence. Lumos had been the first spell the girl had ever learned. Having always been afraid of the dark, her mother taught it to her before any other spells. |

Not returning her question, Hellius continued to creep through the darkness and tried at all possible to stay away from the light that was being emitted from the glowing green light of lumos. As the demon said, the light was his enemy and the darkness was where he would strive; that was obvious and the truth. The element of surprise was always the best, especially at times like this. She needs to learn her place... Hellius' skin began to burn as if it were on fire, and he skid to a stop behind a rather large-trunked tree. He fell to the floor once again and leaned his back against the bark behind him. Grasping at his shoulder, he held back yells and groans from breaking the awkward silence of the night air. Suddenly, his skin turned black with a scaly texture, and the mere image of Hellius' worst fear was practically reflected under the vague light of the moon above. He couldn't have helped from hollering in pain... and he did. |

Addie jumped noticeably as the silence was broken. What was that? It was almost inhuman, something in pain... Hellius? She wondered silently, glancing around quickly. "Hellius, was that you?! Are you alright?" She called, quickly heading in the direction the noise had come from. Addie stumbled over several tree roots on her way, but eventually saw movement through the darkness. "Hellius?" |

In the shell that was Hellius' body, the Gryffindor was no longer in control. The maroon of his eyes pierced the darkness and glowed intently in the lightly lit environment. All movement finally stopped with him and his eyes closed; all was calm. A slight echo of the yell could still be heard distancing away from them. |

Oh no, he isn't answering. Not even a snide remark or anything... What if he's seriously hurt, or unconcious or something? "Hellius, please, answer me. Are you hurt or anything?" She asked quickly, approaching his form, a slight gasp escaping her lips at the sight of him. "H-Hellius?" She whispered, moving closer and crouching down by his side, watching his face carefully. |

Flauros abided with the girl for the moment and didn't react at that time. He was waiting and listening to her breath... her heart beat. Taking a deep breath inwards, he released it in a solid yawn before opening his eyes and smirking his manacle mouth back at the girl. "Oh, you're Addie, aren't you?" It said in a demonic voice. "I have seen... so much." The demon's nails edged into the ground and he immediately jumped to his feet. Sending it's foot out with the bottom of it flying towards her, it smirked. "And this is my pay back." OOC: I feel like this is the scene where King Leonidas kicks the messenger into the well... THIS IS SPARTA!! |

She gasped, stumbling backwards as he awoke, heart racing, fear borne adrenaline rushing through her. She cried out as she was kicked backwards, wincing and slowly getting to her feet. "Y-your pay back? I haven't done anything though... What are you, what have you done to Hellius?!" She demanded, voice shaking as she took several steps backwards. |

A cackle was gradually released from the demon's lips as he followed after the girl. His silver pointed tongue slowly flowed out from his mouth and circled around his lips. He was hungry. "You don't remember Defense Against the Dark Arts class, dear Miss Lumineux? Shame..." He paused and began to grin out of satisfaction; his razor-pointed teeth gleamed off the little light available. "I... am the darkness that is all around you. I am a nightmare. I am a monster that hides under beds and waits in closets. I am a legend. I am darkness!" Flauros raised his right arm and then rolled his hand into a tight fist. He squeezed harder and harder until his dark fingernails were almost stabbing into his palm. From the bottom of his wrist, a spike was growing... |

"Hellius' Boggart..." She said quietly, taking a couple more steps backwards. "Well, if you're darkness, then shouldn't you be afraid of light?" She commented, trying to sound as confident in her assumption as she could. Addie pointed the beam of light from her wand at him, hoping it would have some effect. If Hellius is afraid of this thing... Then that proves it! He isn't that bad, he's just being controlled by this, maybe there's a way to beat it and help Hellius? |

"A... meaningless assumption," Flauros hissed, looking down at the spike that was continuing to grow from his arm. The light was beginning to feel hot, but because of the darkness around, it wasn't affecting him as much as regular light would. Cackling once more, he reached his left hand over to the spike and then broke it off; sounding a disturbing crack like bone snapping in two. Placing it back into his right hand, the demon held the spike as if Hellius would with a wand; he smirked. "Let's see how you manage," he flicked it. "Nox." |

Her eyes widened drastically in the darkness, stummbling backwards over a tree root and hitting the ground with a thump. Addie gripped her wand tightly, crawling backwards, trying to pull some air into her lungs. He'll kill me, I need the light back.. She thought desperately, not yet managing to sputter out the appropriate spell. |

Flauros' dark maroon eyes continued to pierce the darkness. No light was seen except the dark red of his eyes. The nocturnal view that his eyes did perceive allowed him to see perfectly and almost as if he was an animal. Speeding his pace towards the girl, the demon chuckled through his nose for sheer amusement. He was light on his feet and he needed to contain an element of surprise. Stopping behind Addie in her path of crawling backwards, he smirked and crouched down so he was almost level with her; he glared his teeth in a grin. |

Eventually Addie regained her breath, crawling backwards, trying to search him out through the dark. It was then that she hit something, glancing backwards swiftly, there he was; right behind her. Addie's eyes widened, fear coursing through her, a scream escaping her lips... Her wand flared back to life, brighter than before, almost blinding even. She didn't think about how it had happened when she hadn't said a spell, just turned it on the demon quickly. |

His eyes burned and his skin sizzled lightly as a bright light suddenly appeared from her wand without reason. Flauros wasn't prepared and didn't expect it, and as a result, he tried to get away from all sources of the light. It couldn't. The eyes of the demon changed rapidly to blue and back to the maroon as he tried to keep control of Hellius' body. The black scales receded back into skin which from there bled uncontrollably from cuts and scratches. The tail absorbed back, and the teeth became flat once more. The spikes of his arms forced their way back into his flesh and made gaping holes that added to the injury. Hellius' clothes were ripped and torn... the blood was flowing down his flesh hardly without any sort of interruption. |

She gasped and wrapped her arms around him tightly, tears rolling down her cheeks. "Who'd have ever thought I'd be happy to see you?" She said, letting him go and looking him over quickly. "You're bleeding a lot, let me try and heal you and then let's get out of here, okay?" |
