| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Banni and Firenze raced onto the grounds of Hogwarts with Fera Collis and Professor Matthew Concordus riding on their backs. The two centaurs skidded to a halt and dropped down to allow their charges to dismount. Firenze rose after depositing his rider, his hand already at his almost empty quiver of arrows. "The Castle Dwarf horde shouldn't last much longer, they're numbers were dwindling when we left," he said calmly, as if unfazed by what they had witnessed just before escaping, "I shall join my fellows and rid both our territories of the foul creatures." "I'm going with you," Banni demanded. "You will not," said Firenze. "I have to go back--hey! Unhand me you--What about Magorian!?" Banni cried as Firenze struggled to hold him back from reentering the forest. "He is dead," said Firenze, the finality of it seeming to finally reach him, his eyes went to the soft, well kept lawn, the lawn so expertly cared for by Banni in his new life. "No!" said Banni. There were no tears, only anger, "How can you say that? We have to go back and save him!" "I must return," said Firenze, "I must aid my herd. You on the other hand have forsaken the herd to which you no longer belong. You have your own responsibilities. The girl was injured, and you yourself have been damaged in the fight." Banni had not noticed any of the cuts and wounds he had been inflicted with by the Red Caps, but now that the adrenaline had begun to slow, he felt pain throughout his joints and the sting of open wounds--none, however, were fatal. He looked at Matthew and the girl. Both of them had nicks and scrapes, and all four of them were filthy with dirt, twigs, and the congealed blood of fallen enemies. "Matthew can take care of the girl," pleaded Banni, his eyes going to his friend for a brief moment, "I want to fight!" Firenze sighed in a way that said 'I really didn't want to have to do this' as he lifted his bow and aimed it at Banni. Banni shifted. "As it has been said before," Firenze said threateningly, but also reluctantly at the same time, "you are not welcome in the forest any longer." Firenze turned towards the forest again, and looked back over his shoulder only once and said, "You forsook it long ago," before galloping back into the forest. Banni never realized just how far away the territory of the centaurs was from the grounds. He couldn't even hear the sounds of the fighting that was still undoubtedly going on. Banni sighed in frustration, the pain in his body now causing him to feel very weak. "I'm sorry," he said softly to the two of them and breathing heavily, "I didn't mean any of this to happen." |

"It's not your fault, Banni, After all we did not expect it to happen and we did in the end capture what we needed" he said, holding up the cage full of Gytrash. He sat on the grass and sighed, he was still slightly upset about what had happened and was also slightly shocked, but he shook this off to continue with the job in hand. "Your best staying as well, We need you here, especially the students" he said, looking at the girl, "That reminds me Miss Collis, you were brave but very very stupid today". |

Fera didn't listen to the teacher, but looked at Banni and went infront of him. Then she slapped him, "Get down to earth, I thought you centaurs were smart! It's not your fault, and if you even try to go back, then you've worsened everything. Man!" Slapping a teacher probably wasn't smart, especially when the teacher was a centaur who had just saved your life. But Fera did not want the centaur to drown himself in pity over his own helpless state. "I'm going to the Hospital Wing now, Fare Well." Then she left for the castle, before anyone could stop her. |

A mixture of rage, guilt, and anger was what Banni had felt then, sulking on the grounds, having been brought by both physical and mental pain. He didn't need Firenze to remind him that he had forsaken his herd. He knew that well enough. He perhaps, however, did need the slap that Fera had given him, and after she had said her piece and left, he rose up again on all four legs. "So," he said, trying to act like he didn't just see many of his kind slaughtered by a hundred ugly elves, "what to do now? I'm afraid we'll need to speak to Professor Belleford or someone about this. Not only about how there were Red Caps so close to Hogwarts, but also..." he paused, once again considering the situation carefully, and with a pang of guilt, "Now that...now that Magorian is dead..."--and now sadness again--"and Ronin has full control of the herd,"--and anger too--"the forest is no longer safe for anyone, I'm afraid." And now he was back to where he was before Fera had hit him. He moved with a heavy trot towards the lake. "I'll join you inside the main floor of the castle later, but not like this. I might scare the students," he said. "In the meantime, I would go to the hospital wing if you have need of it, and I will tend to my own wounds as well as the Gytrash...unless you would rather tend to them yourself. But do try to find someone we can inform of the issues surrounding the forest." |

"Of course, I will inform the teachers as soon as possible, this is a dangerous situation" he stood up and brushed himself down, although it made no difference, you could tell that he had Banni had both been in some kind of incident, with the dirt and mud stains along with cuts and bruises covering them. "But I am fine my friend, No need for the Hospital Wing" he turned and looked to see Fera entering the castle, "I may need to have a word with that girl, After all she is my house - Gryffindor." Matthew stood up and passed Banni the cage of Gytrash and patted the centaur on the back of the neck, "Now mate, Don't you worry about anything, you know just where I am" he stated, pointing at his window on the fifth floor of the castle where Banni had earlier sent an arrow that day. He then made his own way into the castle, calling "Good luck" to his friend as he entered through the huge doors. |

Banni washed himself and tended to his wounds, having discarded his sword-belt and empty quiver by the lakeside. He was not, thankfully, too terribly hurt or in need of bandages, but he was very sore indeed. Sore enough, in fact, to make him move at a very slow pace. He would have liked so very much to have been able to lie down at the forest edge to take a nap, but as he had urgent business to attend to (and he was no longer welcome even that close to the forest) he forced himself up the lawn to the front of the castle and entered. |
