| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Fera sneered, "I'll manage." Fera's mind had gone simple, the pain was shoved away. All she wanted now was to kill Red Caps. She broke off a large, stiff branch and hit the red caps away using it. The wolf was still attacking like mad, Fera turned to a centaur, "Oi, you! Kick down a tree over them! It might work." She started twirling the stick quickly around to block attacks from the red cap. The creature managed to get some good hits, but nothing really mattered for her right now. |

Banni heard Matthew's call. He slashed at one of the Red Caps with a blade in each hand. Having now run out of arrows, he abandoned his bow somewhere on the forest floor--now turned battlefield. Banni raced towards where the girl was, slashing furiously at anything four-feet tall and ugly. But something stopped him in his tracks: Just ahead of him was the dark-haired female centaur. She was surrounded on all sides by Red Caps, and she was completely out of arrows as well. Banni rushed to her aid, but as he galloped, the Red Caps were slicing, stabbing, clawing, and biting at all four of her legs, trying to bring her down. She faltered and fell to the forest floor--Banni moving even faster now--she tried in vain to swat them away with her hands. One of the creatures grabbed her by her dark hair, pulling her head back. It brought a knife to her neck and-- "NO!" The creature ran the crooked blade across the female's neck. Blood began to pour from the fatal wound. The creatures appeared to be laughing as they removed their caps. Banni halted, frozen, knowing he had failed to save her. To Banni's horror, the Red Caps began catching the river of blood in their caps, staining them red. The female brought her dark eyes to Banni's as they did this. She seemed to be trying to move her mouth to speak, but she just stared at him with eyes wide and clouding over, mouth opening and closing like a fish on land. Banni's grip on his weapons tightened; feelings of weakness and failure replaced by pure, unadulterated rage. He rushed at them as they began to replace their caps with relish, savoring the sight and feel of blood; blood dripping down the sides of their ugly faces. Banni slashed at the nearest one, decapitating it. He kicked another so hard it smashed into a tree, blood now pouring from a wound in the back of its head. But as he cut them down, more and more came at him--or rather, at the dying female. But they weren't fighting back. They seemed more interested in the female's blood, gathering it frantically in their caps. Stabbing two more of them simultaneously, Banni remembered the girl. She wasn't dead yet. This was a lost cause. Banni forced himself to look at the centaur woman, she had already grown pale, he lips were tinted with blue. "I'm sorry..." he said softly, and then he raced towards the girl, who was now engaged in hand-to-hand combat with a Red Cap. Screaming with rage at the death of the female, he reared back on his hind legs and brought his front hooves down on the creature with a sickening CRUNCH and squelching sounds. Blood spattered, some got on the girl and her wolf. "Are you alright?" Banni demanded. Six more Red Caps now faced them down. Banni noticed he was once again joined by Magorian, as well as Firenze who had entered the fray. They fired arrows, taking down two at once. Banni slashed at one, and then another, bringing them down almost as quickly as if Magorian and Firenze. Banni had a strange feeling welling inside of him. Love of battle? No. But a strange joy filled him as he fought along side members of his old herd, defending the forest with them. Banni saw Magorian turn to the girl, who had said something to him, as he brought the last of the six down. "Bannishtar, Firenze, Bane," commanded the former leader as if he still had been such, "All four of us kick down that tree!" he commanded hurriedly in broken English. The four centaurs worked together to dislodge the tree. With one final back-legged kick it toppled over, landing on the spot where the female had fallen--where most of the Red Caps now gathered--and crushed the blood-lusting dwarves all under it, severely reducing their numbers. Banni shut his eyes as it fell on top of the female and the creatures. At least she had not died in vain, he thought--but the thought didn't help. Firenze spoke loudly over the commotion of the battle: "Banni and I will take the humans to safety on our backs, we can move faster than they!" "Yes," said Magorian, "We will cover your escape." "You'll do what!?" demanded Bane. "Now is not the time, Bane," said Firenze. Banni went to the girl and dropped to the ground so that she could climb on his back. Firenze had gone to Matthew. "Get on. I'm getting you out of here." |

Fera jumped on quickly, and saw the wolf she had met become slaughtered. She saw, to her surprise that she was still holding the branch, it wouldn't help her now. She threw it from her. She said quietly "Stone-face won't like you doing this. You'll definitely get killed next time you meet." Fera then turned back to the Red Caps and muttered, "Oculos sublimes linguam mendacem manus effundentes innoxium sanguinem " |

Matthew jumped quickly onto the centaurs back, he made sure he had everything including the caged Gytrash and pups they had come for in the first place, they did not at all expect a war to happen. "Cheers Mate" he said to the unknown Centaur who was now carrying him to safety. |

"You let me worry about Stone-face," answered Banni to the girl. "GO!" came Magorian's voice, and the two centaurs shot up, carrying the humans. They ran towards the direction of the castle. It seemed now as though more centaurs had arrived sometime during the fighting and were now picking off the last of the Red Cap horde. Banni and Firenze ran at full speed through the trees. Banni took one last glance back at the battle, and saw, again to his horror, one of the dark creatures directly under Magorian, stabbing him down his underside. The former leader fell. "NO!" Banni screamed for the second time. He almost ran back to him, but Firenze (who had also seen what had happened) stopped him. "Think of the child," he said calmly, as if he had not witnessed the same horror, "is that not a main concern of your new life?" Banni said nothing, instead, he simply turned swiftly and raced back towards the edge of the forest, the trees thinning out as he ran, followed by Firenze and Matthew. Together they ran towards the waning light, and onto the Hogwarts Grounds ((OOC: I guess I'll use the grounds thread that currently exists so we can end this, I think Beau is going to get a fright, though. Sorry about the slight God-mode)) |

Matthew hopped off the centaur, thanked him and exited to the grounds. |

Fera nodded, and held on while both her and Banni entered the grounds. |
