| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Matthew wandered accross the grounds to the edge of the forest. He was earlier then the note had stated from his centaur friend but decided to catch up with Banni now rather then later. He looked around, this is where Banni lived, he could see his few belongings he did not carry with him scattered accross the floor round a deep, red and very warm fire. |

Fera entered the woods. Were there any wolves here? No... The smell of centaur had probably scared them off. Wimps. ince she didn't have anything better to do, and because she also liked centaurs, she went towards the smell. Soon she stood around ten meteres from a fire, She couldn't see all of it, since an adult male was standing in front of the fire. |

Matthew heard the noise of someone approaching the area, he assumed it was Banni so he turned without pulling out his wand to investigate whom had joined him in the forest. He saw a young student standing by the camp, she had obviously only just entered the forest so he assumed that she was not in trouble. "Hello Miss, what brings you out into the forest?" |

Fera replied, but used her time, she didn't like questions that much. "I'm looking for wolves, sir." Fera had decided that it wasn't smart to show disrespect. |

"I don't think that is a good idea, especially when it's starting to get dark now" he said, looking up at the gaps in the trees to see the blue sky turning a shade of black. "Although if you wish, One day I can take you in to see these wolves, but not tonight as I have work to do." |

"Take me out and see them? You obviously don't know me, sir. I normally do things on my own. Plus, the woods can't hurt me. And whats the worst that can happen?" This overhelpy teacher was anoying her. She was not used to be treated as a child. |

"You see Miss, The Forbidden Forest is a dangerous place, even myself and others don't know the name of everything which lurks inside of there" he sighed, "Plus, You may have gone out and done things on you own out of school but this is in school and there are such rules you must apply to." He sat down on one of the logs around the fire, "This is why I am here, to teach about this creatures in my class and to make sure we do not have any deaths due to them, Banni, the centaur who lives here, works with me to prevent these." |

"Death? I'm shivering of fright." Fera then turned her sarcastic tone to a oversweet one, "But, of course I'll follow the rules. I do not want to spoil glorious gryffingdors chances for more glory." Fera desperatly wanted to puke when she heard the words escape her mouth. |

"Good, after all incase you did not know, I am your head of house" Matthew stated with a lot of seriousness, "Now I think you should leave the forest for now, I advise you to not come in here, but I can't keep watch all the time" he said with a wink. "Although If you get into any trouble by coming into here again, I will have to take action, me and Banni will be on the watch." He sighed, "Now I never found out your name, May I ask what it is?" |

Fera raised her eyebrow, this man was her head of house? She turned around to leave the forest before he asked more. She wasn't quick enough, and swirled once more around to answer him, "Ferania Collis, from the Closter of Lupus. Mostly called Fera." Then she went away from the camp. But not longer than that she could still see him. |

Banni had been so busy tending to the Hippogriffs (two of them had some rather bad cases of chizpurfle infestations), that he had forgotten to check where the sun was in the sky. He sighed a bit as entered his section of the edge of the forest, looking to they sky and shaking his head. There would be no getting in and out before dark, now, he thought. When he arrived, Matthew, the only human he considered a friend (now that the old gamekeeper had died over the summer months), was already standing by Banni's fire. "I apologize for being late," he said, "Talon and Greytail were infested with chizpurfle parasites." The centaur immediately went over to a small bush, where he had lain his bow and quiver of arrows, which he slung over his back. He also retrieved something forest centaurs did not usually carry: A leather belt with two sheathes attached to the side. On the right hand side, a long knife that was not the crudely-made stone blades that centaurs used for dressing the carcasses of the animals they hunt, but a blade of steel. In the sheath on the left hand side of the belt was a long, curved blade (also made of steel). Banni strapped this belt around his waist where his torso joined with his equine body. Now armed to the teeth, Banni adressed Matthew again. "I'll get right down to business," said the centaur in a very serious tone, "Earlier today Professor DeMedardo took her students out for a field trip at the edge of the forest. Two of the students had wandered off from the group. Even though they hadn't been very far in, they met up with something I would not have expected to see in this forest--especially so close to the edge: A gytrash. By the time I had gotten there, the two second-years had already beaten it back with their magic," he grinned momentarily, "I'm going to talk to Carmella tomorrow about rewarding them points instead of docking them. After all, we wouldn't have known about the danger if they hadn't encountered it. "I would like it if the two of us went in to the forest to find the gytrash, capture it if possible, and--also if possible--find out why it was so far from their usual breeding grounds and if there are any more of them around. I trust you can conjure a cage for anything we find?" |

Matthew listened to his centaur friend as he explained why he had asked for the two of them to meet here, "I agree, this must be addressed, especially if students keep wandering into the forest, I've already caught one in here just before you arrived." He pulled out his wand and prepared himself for a fight, just like his ally, Banni, "Yes, I belive I can capture it if we need to" he said with a smirk, "Lets go and get this done." He began to treck further into the forest to investigate with Banni. |

Fera saw the centaur join. An outcast. The two weilded their weapons. So would she. She took out her wand and followed the two of them, silently and undetecable. Fera smiled for herself. |

Banni entered the forest with Matthew. "A word of caution, though," said the centaur wearily, "I trust you know that the Ministry of Magic has once again put further restrictions on the territory of my...former herd? I am sure they are good and riled right now--and they're dangerous at the best of times. I know where our--...their hunting grounds are and I would like to avoid them for the time being." The moved through the forest at a steady pace...until Banni's gait had become a bit uneasy. One more step..., Banni thought, and now I'm further into the forest then I've ever been in six years. His grip somehow instinctively tightened on his bow as he walked. |

"I have indeed heard about this, My friend, It seems a shame but I agree we will avoid the herd for our safety" Matthew replied. They walked further into the forest where it began to darken, "Lumos", He lit up the path ahead and gripped his wand, they were now entering a dangerous area of the forest, where anything could happen. |

Fera followed the two of them by the heels. A yelp not far away got her attention. There, just between two trees was a wounded wolf. She ran towards it, still silent. She sent out signals to it, telling she was safe, but that she would need cooperating. The wolf turned over and the sight that met her was disgusting. Someone, or something had bitten off the wolfs ear. Fera ripped off some of her robes and tied it over the animals ear. She growled at it, and the wolf went up. Then they re-followed the two others. Fera knew she was unsafe now. |

Matthew heard a crack from behind them, he spun round and shined his lighted wand at the area of where the sound was from. He talked over his shoulder to Banni as he continued to stare at the space. "There's something following us, we need to keep watch on that", he called, but continued to walk through the trees with his friend to find the Gytrash, "We must continue though." |

The wolf started growling at the light. Fera growled back to the wolf, "Shh, you wanna die?" The teacher had almost seen her. Fera cursed under her breath. |

Bannishtar nodded at Matthew's words and drew from his quiver a long arrow and knocked it loosely to his bow, ready to draw it at the slightest disturbance. When he heard a faint growling noise he stopped, spun around, and drew his arrow halfway, pointing it in the direction of the noise. Not seeing anything, he slowly brought the arrow back to a non-firing position. He turned around and began moving on, glancing over his shoulder every now and then. Tension spread throughout Banni's body. He found himself quite often drawing and un-drawing the bowstring, his eyes darting around. Suddenly, he heard another noise. Wimpering, just ahead of them. He turned his head to Matthew with a look that said 'did you hear that? Let's go.' And the centaur moved cautiously towards what looked like a den. "Matthew, bring your light over here!" Banni hand a good idea of what was in there, however, for he could hear both injured wimpering and the yipping of young animals. The gytrash had been injured by the students he thought. |

Matthew wipped round, after taking one last glance at where they had heard growling, he shock it off and did as Banni instructed and shined his light forwards, towards the second noise heard. "This is could be it's den, We must enter slowly and cautiously and be ready" he said to Banni, he raised his wand to head height as they continued on, the noise becoming louder as they progressed, they were now no-where near the edge of the forest, where they would expect a Gytrash. |
