| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. If we see a man glorifying his race, gender, or creed, we can understand there is nothing about himself that deserves glorification.

Adelina set to work writing the lesson on the board, hoping she would do well on her first time substituting for this class. Welcome to an Introduction to Charms. The definition of a charm is a spell concerned with enchanting an object to behave in a way that isn't normal for that object. For example, a spell that causes objects to float or a spell that causes them to change colour. Today we will begin learning some basic spells; Wingardium Leviosa, the levitating spell. Its wand motion is a swish and flick; practise this a few times before actually attempting the spell. I've placed feathers on the desks for you to use. The second spell you'll be learning is the Bubble-Head Charm. This encloses your head in a bubble of breathable air, very useful for swimming deep underwater. The incantation is orbis creo. I shall be walking around in case any of you make mistakes, so don't worry. She sat back and waited for the students to arrive. |

Beau hurried into the Charms classroom, she quickly read the board and picked up her wand. Moving the wand in a sweeping motion before a quick tap to the air she muttered, "Swish and flick, swish and flick." |

Arthwen entered the classroom and took a seat. She looked at the board, reading she laughed. Looking to see where Savannah was, if in the classroom yet she stifled her laughter. |

Savannah followed in behind Arthwen and took a seat next to her. "Whats so funny?" She asked before looking at the board and saw the levitation spell she had just been reading in her textbook. "Haha... Well, I already have the wrist movement down... may as well try with the feather right away." Savannah reasoned and took out her wand. "Wingardium Leviosa" Savannah ordered and did the wand movements. Her feather shot right up in the air and stuck to the ceiling. She looked over at the professor to see if that was the expected result. |

Arthwen laughed harder when the feather stuck to the ceiling. "I don't think that's what you're supposed to have done." |

Fera had entered for a while ago, and had after lots of practice managed to levitate the quill. For amusment she began jutting the quill on Savannahs neck. Then it struck her that it probably wasn't allowed and she took it back. She then practiced the bubblehead. The first time nothing happened. Same with second and third. On the fourth a bubble fastened on her nose, but it popped at once. First at her twenty-seventh time she did it. Although it popped when the bell rang. Fera left for lunch. |

Arthwen did the motions for the first charm... swish and flick, shouldn't be too hard. Then she waved it and said "Wingarium Leviosa" and the feather began to quiver but not quite move. By the end of class and after several attempts she managed to get it to float about 3 inches above her desk. The bell rang just as she was going to try again. She grabbed her things and left the classroom. |

Savannah swatted at the quill poking her in the neck. "Fera stop!" Savannah said sternly as the quill backed off. After a little more control, the levitation charm worked - well, like a charm! The bubble head charm worked just as easily. "Wow! Mr. Ollivander was right in saying this wand was good for charm work!" Savannah said and smiled. She packed up her things and followed her classmates out to lunch. |
