Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? Sixth Year Posts: 1,113 Group: Slytherin Member #135 Joined: May 8 2007	Julian swaggered into the shop, his money jangling obnoxiously in his pocket. He kept one hand idly fondling a galleon as he examined the latest model broomsticks on sale by the various companies: Nimbus, Firebolt, Cleansweep, and Comet. He didn't particularly need a new broomstick, but he liked to have the best, particularly so he could rub it into the faces of those around him just how pitiful they were compared to him. Just imagining John or Tristan's faces as he stepped onto the Quidditch pitch with a brand new, top of the line broomstick whilst they flew the useless school brooms made him giddy with glee. He studied the four models for quite some time, wanting to make sure he chose the absolute best available. He read through the stat cards for each, weighing up the pros and cons of each. Yet he eventually settled on the Firebolt. He called rudely to the clerk, "You there. I'll take the latest Firebolt." The wizard manning the desk was so obviously a mudblood that Julian didn't even bother with attempting to be civil; such people didn't deserve it. He tapped his foot impatiently as the man collected the broom, wrapped it and rang it up. He thrust the 60 galleons into his hand (not bothering to tip) and grabbed his parcel. He slung it over his shoulder and swaggered from the store.

Unregistered	Ben entered the shop and looked around it, seeing no obvious students to him and no Stella, whom he was meeting back up with in this shop. She did not know that he had gone to confront Julian, although the back of his head was starting to sting but the bleeding was calming down. He looked at the shelves of supplies, reminding him of his visit to this shop last year. When he brought a broom and met John for the first time, this lead to him meeting all the others because of him. He gave a smile to the shop owner, almost as a thanks for helping him meet them.

Third Year Posts: 77 Group: Ravenclaw Member #288 Joined: Jan 17 2008	Stella entered and saw that Ben was bleeding. She stormed over to him, "What happened?" She made sure she was facing him and her eyes dared him to tell the truth, or else. She didn't want him to get hurt (something he sure seemed to have a knack for).

Unregistered	"Slytherin" he replied, not noticing Stella had entered the shop until she spoke, "I'll be alright though". He touched the cut noticing it was starting to bleed a bit less, although it had probably stained his hair slightly, but he could not see so he indicated for Stella to check.

Stella looked once more at the blood, then went beside him, and switched topic, "I have no ideas about brooms, can you help me?"

Unregistered	"Cheers" he said to Stella with a smile, "Glad you turned up then" he laughed. He then noticed she went round to have a look at the brooms which he had looked at last year. "Well I snuck one in last year, a Cleansweep 9, it turned out well though" he said with a smile. "But also I had a Nimbus 2000".

Then she thought over the fact that she sounded very unfriendly and changed her tone, "Well, Firebolt, thats the one, you know what that bigheaded jerk with no sense of social behaviour had. A bit to showoffy broom, hm? I like the one there, the Silver Arrow, but I'm not using so much money on a broom." Stella went over to the next, "The new nimbus is nice, and more okay prices, but I don't need a completly new one, I don't play Quidditch. So, an older one, 2002 is nicely priced, don't you think? Plus, I like the design of it."

Unregistered	Ben picked up the broom and looked at it, he wasn't an expert on brooms but would try his best to compare it to the broom he snuck in last year. "Well it certainly looks nice, not too heavy aswell and looks perfect for your size" he placed it back down and looked at her, "Depends if you were to use it for Quidditch or just flying?"

Sixth Year Posts: 858 Group: Slytherin Member #171 Joined: Jul 27 2007 Gender Female Age 15 Location Pennsylvania, USA	Ella entered the small shop, glad to finally be getting a brom of her own. As Slytherin captian, it had been a tad embaressing to fly around on school brooms... While walking around, she spotted Ben and his friend whose name she couldn't remember. "Hey" she said, walking up to them. Upon noticing the cut on Ben's forehead, she smirked. "Merlin, Ben, can't you even stay out of trouble for a few minutes" she was only teasing, but she did notice that the 'Puff had a certian knack for getting into fights and whatnot... She looked at the selecton of brooms, her brows furrowed slightly. Finally, she picked up a cleansweep. She had flown one of the school's last year, and was used to the make, but noticed several improvements on this one. After inspecting it for several minutes, she decided to buy it and took it off the rack before turning back to Ben and Stella.

Unregistered	Ben smiled to his Slytherin friend,Ella, as she joined the two of them. "That's true" he smirked, "And you'll never guess who did this" he said sarcastically to her. He noticed Ella also buying a broom, this made him laugh a bit as he had secretly bought one last year, which he went on to use in the Qudditch matches but not flying lessons. Now he could use it at any time in school without the risk of a rant from a Professor.

He looked at his watch, it was getting late and decided they should go home after this shop visit, before heading to King's Cross. "But make it quick" he stated, sticking his tounge out.

The shop owner nodded lazily, "Which price class, what type of Broom, how much do you fly." Stella shrugged, "Medium price, Nimbus, dunno." The Shopkeeper nodded, "Well, the Nimbus seems good for one your size, I'd recommend the 2002 or the 2003 model, as their medium priced." Stella nodded, "2002 it is then." The shopkeeper nodded and Stella bought the Broom. He offered to shrink it and Stella nodded approvingly. Stella then returned to Ben, "There. Shall we go?" [OOC;Godmode her out. Then we don't have to post all the time.]

He turned to Ella, "See you on the train perhaps" he said, then smiled at her before leaving the shop with Stella. OOC - I'll go straight to the train.
