| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Riley made her way across the lawns of Hogwarts castle and was not surprised to find the Professor not yet arrived for class. It seemed few Professors were on time these days. Not minding a bit, Riley dropped her bag by the glass door and began to do cartwheels across the grass as she waited for the others to arrive. |

Hellius yawned and exited onto the grounds. It was rather cloudy again, but didn't seem like they were rain clouds. Tilting his head in various directions, he popped his neck and then rolled his shoulders around to loosen himself up. Seeing Riley in the distance doing cartwheels, he smirked. Silently creeping towards the Greenhouses, he placed his bag against the building and then edged down the glass until he was sitting upon the ground. |

Riley spotted a boy approaching in her spinning induced haze and finished her cartwheel moment with a handstand, walking a few steps on her hands before crashing to the ground in a heap. Attempting to muster some dignity after her fall, she brushed herself off and stood up, realizing it was Hellius who had arrived. She sank down to the ground beside him, giving him a gentle nudge in the side, "Hey. Thanks for sticking up for me. Your a good guy, you know that? I don't think you give yourself enough credit." At the time, she had been quite distraught at Julian, completely baffled as to how he could be so inconsiderate towards her. But she had concluded that that was just his way and nothing would ever change that. It was all the more hurtful because she found the boy so physically attractive yet so repulsive mentally. But still, to completely belittle a person who was trying to save your life was beyond her! |

Geneviéve made her way through the grounds towards the greenhouses, and was surprised to find two other students waiting nearby. They were second years like her, so she assumed the Herbology professor must not be ready for class yet. She sat quietly on the ground a few feet from them, wrapping her arms around her legs and gazing around the lovely green foliage that covered the campus. |

Hellius stayed quiet for awhile as Riley spoke to him. Pausing right as he was about to say something, the words that the girl said to him recirculated through his mind in an incessant repetition. "I almost murdered someone for the 4th time Riley. Julian is probably the second person that I tried to kill that deserved it, but even still, what sort of credit could I give myself?" He pulled his knees in close and then wrapped his arms around them. He, at that particular moment, wasn't feeling the happiest or in the best of moods. Memories were continuing to enter his mind that he didn't even recall occurring in the latest. They were all... horrible. Uncles and cousins attacking each other, his father holding back a faceless man from charging at Hellius ... It was mindless chaos. "Thanks, Riley..." he finally released. |

Riley gave a smile as Genevieve joined them. She had always found the Hufflepuff girl to be quite friendly and also very intelligent, a factor that Riley respected and responded to in people. The pair had not spent much time together but Riley enjoyed her company none the less. Yet at Hellius' words she had to focus intently on what she was going to say in reply, on how to say the right thing without upsetting him or substantiating his claim. "Hellius....your a different guy this year. Ok you attacked Julian, and yes it did have the potential to be fatal, but surely, deep down, you knew that it wasn't going to be that way?" She shifted her weight as her back was getting sore against the glass and took Hellius' hand in her own to show her sincerity, grasping it between both of hers. "Professor Aphelion was in the room and you were using a fairly simple spell, surely subconsciously you knew he wouldn't come to any harm. And so you knew you weren't going to kill him, you were just getting him back for what he did to me. And that's why you deserve credit. You stood up for somebody you really don't know at all because you saw something that wasn't right." Riley released his hand as she had been holding on rather tightly, desperate for him to see her reasoning. "None of us are saints, Hellius. We all have our moments of weakness where we succumb to temptation to do something we probably shouldn't. All of us." Her eyes were locked onto his, imploring him to realise she was referring to her own repeated use of the Cheering Charm to escape her problems. Hellius had caught her doing so on several occasions. Yet despite this, he hadn't judged her or told anyone else. |

Looking at Riley with a bit of sadness, he sighed and laced his fingers in between Riley's as she grabbed his hand. His eyes swirled with different shades of gray, red, and blue almost looking as if they were spinning with each moment that passed. He wasn't sure what to say, and it almost seemed as if the demon was trying to take over again. Sighing, he looked away from Riley as his eyes quivered. "To be completely honest, I struck to kill. If the professor hadn't interfered, I wouldn't of stopped. He wasn't defeated from the ropes, so the chair came as reinforcements. His brains weren't demolished, but after that fist fight, I knew he wasn't going down. I gave up for generally wanting to. I couldn't have won that battle without taking some substantial damage myself, so I let it go." That fight all began as a righteous cause to defend Riley, but then evolved into a more destructive want to annihilate than anything else. A small growl escaped the boy's throat, and a frown appeared. "You were threatened, and Julian was the hindrance. I would've killed him," he hissed, his voice largely raspy. |

Riley looked sadly down at the ground, deciding that he would not be swayed to hear reason, "If you say so, Hellius. Again, thank you." She paused for a moment before once again standing up and resuming her athletic endeavors across the grass, her mind reeling from his words. He struck to kill? To kill! He wanted to end a human life! So what? I'm sure there have been times when Tristan or John have done the same. They get caught up in the moment and want nothing more than for the person to stop breathing. Yes, but....but....murder is wrong! Of course it is! But as you said yourself, none of us are saints! And after all the pain and frustration that Julian has caused, can you really blame him? Riley landed with a thud! on the grass, facing the lake. She crossed her legs and placed her head on her hands, consumed by her thoughts. |

Addie walked out onto the grounds, making her way towards the greenhouses. She smiled, spotting three of her fellow second years, picking up her pace, until she was finally standing beside them. "Professor isn't here yet I take it?" |

"Useless as they all seem to be lately," Hellius hissed, tilting his head back to look at the sky. Again, more memories flooded back into his mind, and as the patterns continued, they were all violent. Again and again, it was more of his family members fighting each other. They all seemed to be hateful despite the blood heritage that they all shared. It was horribly brutal to think of it, and to remind himself that he knew these people was even worse. You hate it, don't you? The demon hissed, smirking subconsciously. Clutching at his forehead and burying his head into his hands again, he tried to fight away the voices, but they came through. He groaned, trying to mute the sound, but his brain almost felt as if it were on fire. Suddenly and without warning, it stopped. Looking up and shaking his head briefly, Hellius stood up and then entered the Greenhouses. |

Julian strode out of the castle doors and across the lawn with a mighty swagger, feeling pleased with the fact that he would soon be away from the trash and once again with his own kind. He didn't cast any of the seated students a glance but, seeing the door open, strode right on inside. |

Ben wandered slowly out of the castle. He was still worrying about the whole Clifton, August and Jodi situation, although he would not let it get to him yet, unless another major event happened. Although he was happy that the Healer had cured him of his mood changes. Upon arriving at the Greenhouses, he noticed that the first year lesson had not been prepared, so he decided to wait outside until The Professor announced the start of the lesson. |

Ben turned to see Yvette join him, she was becoming a shadow of his. "Ah Yvette, long time no see, How are you?" he asked, with his hand on the glass of the greenhouses. Also he was putting on a fake smile to the girl who had only attacked him a few hours ago. |

"Very well, thank you." Ben seemed to be everywhere she went, quite annoying, but Yvette knew how stupid it would be to attack. "You like August? Isn't it enough with Jodi?" She said it full of distaste, not bothering to hide it for once. |
