| Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go? You're currently viewing our forum as a guest. Happy Union Symbolizes Christmas Cheer The happy union of one Dean Heffernan and Meredith Doyle is a symbol of all things good at Christmas time. Celebrating their marriage in the typical manner of witches and wizards, Mr Heffernan and Ms Doyle joined hands in holy matrimony within their home town of Godric's Hollow, an infamous wizarding community, famous for being the home of Godric Gryffindor himself. When asked why they waited until Christmas to undertake the ceremony, the happy couple replied, "Christmas is such a wonderful time of year, we couldn't miss the opportunity to get married then. Plus the Chapel offered to do it for free as part of their Christmas celebrations." Dean, an employee of the Ministry of Magic in the Floo Network Regulation Panel, was asked what he was looking forward to about celebrating his wedding and Christmas at the same time. "Twice as many gifts, of course!" The couple is honeymooning in Greece for two weeks and intends to get matching tattoos reading "Magic 4 Life". Well Wishers can be sent to this paper for forwarding. ____________________________________________________________________ Knightly Bi-effects The well-known and familiar Knights Bus has started their Christmas now, and is letting every one journey around the country for the merely price of three Knuts. When we request the truth and facts around the generosity, Theodore Devin Ringleton answers us in a matter-of-factly tone, "Well, we've made a good slump of money, so it's our thank you." Theodore stumps his beloved and famous cigar, and reveals more, "And the good old ministry of magic talked me into it, of course." As Theodore has for long been known for being tight-fisted, the all of a sudden open-handedness surprises us. Is it as he puts it himself, just a bi-effect of the Christmas happiness, or is he changing. Well, we in the Daily Prophet can atleast not wait for other companies "bi-effects", and we in the Daily Prophet wish you all a very merry Christmas, and an even happier new years eve! ____________________________________________________________________ Corruption in Quidditch league The Russian Quidditch league, known as the Trostikov, has been rocked by apparent illegal match fixing in major games. The current leading teams, Petrograd Reds and Moscow Blues have both been accused of paying quidditch referees and tampering with the snitch in order to confirm the results of their matches. Trostikov president, Vladamir Putinsky, denies any problems within the system and that these rumors have been started by lower teams who struggle against the might of Russia's two greatest teams in history. The Reds and the Blues have not only dominated the Trostikov but also European Championship leagues, however, they have been previously tagged with cheating accusations. Though previously it has been Bludger tampering and jinxing opponents before the game as intimidation tactics. ____________________________________________________________________ Round 5 Wrap The match of the round this weekend was the top of the table clash between the long time losers the Chudley Cannons, and the top of the table and recently dominant Tutshill Tornados. This weeks match was hyped up as looking to forge as both teams went into the clash undefeated. In what was a closely fought match with very low scoring the Tornados shot out to an early lead and they looked to dominate the match and turn it into a goal fest as they have previously, to ensure they win without relying on their chaser. Bartlett and Planketonopopopolus had stellar starts to the match with three each before the Cannons bounced back. Finally McIntosh joined the goal scoring party with four straight goals, while Cannon's keeper Ryan had trouble defending himself from the barrage of shots being aimed. However, when Kahn brought the score back to 100 – 70 it seemed as though the Cannon's were making a comeback. Then the three Tornados chasers got another one each the Cannon's chaser Smith got the snitch to win the game for the Cannons In other games, the Bangers destroyed the Magpies 520 – 100, the Catapults shut out the Kestrals when they only scored 3 goals against the 6 of the Catapults to continue the Kestrals nightmare season. Arrows won after catching the snitch despite a majority of the game being led by Puddlemore. The Harpies also won their match to continue their winning streak, but jumping into seconds after the Tornados loss. In the final game of the round the Falcons dominated the game, scoring 44 goals to zero before the Bats seeker Molehill, ended the destruction catching the snitch despite the Bats being down. After the game he justified catching the snitch by saying, "it was embarrassing, we were getting destroyed, I saw the snitch and at least I caught the snitch because otherwise we would have probably lost by over 600 points" Teams P W L D PF PA % Points 1.
