Read Today's Daily Prophet: Knights of Walpurgis attack Hogwarts; Belleford steps down as Hogwarts closes until further notice
Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Alana made her way across the dark grounds watching her feet carefully so as to not get them tangled up and trip. She scrambled past many tree's and didn't bother to at least attempt to remember which way she came from, she knew it would be useless. For a few minutes the only noise around was the thud of her feet against the ground and her soft steady breathing. The silence surrounded her and after a while overwhelmed her. Suddenly she heard a thud and her heart skipped a beat, unconscislly she started to sing as she continued walking deeper into the forest.

"The fields are very near, and i won't trust the air with secrets....."

Her voice stopped and she smirked, was she scared? she taunted herself silently. She sat down at the base of a tree, her hand slipped into her cloaks pocket and her fingers daintily brushed the tip of her wand. She hesitated and then pushed her hand farther into the pocket and grasped her book. Pulling it out she opened it and sighed her green eyes staring deep into the forest with interest. After a few moments of holding her gaze she steadily moved her eyes down to the book and started to read...

If we see a man glorifying his race, gender, or creed, we can understand there is nothing about himself that deserves glorification.

Hellius slowly limped outwards into the depths of the forest. He slowly stumbled over large branches and overgrown roots of the trees that resided everywhere. His pace was slow and clumsy, for his body ached all over. Gripping at his left shoulder with his right hand, Hellius continued his intent to get as far away as the castle as possible. After several minutes, he came to a point where most of all light was dampened and shadows resided everywhere. Collapsing onto a trunk of a tree, he leaned against the wood and listening to his surroundings; careful of anything out of the ordinary.

You should kill them... you should kill all of them. All your stupid little friends aren't a match for you, Hellius. Slaughter and annihilate...

Now clutching at his head, the boy began to claw at his scalp and around the areas where he heard the voices.

"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!"

Alana glanced up as she heard footsteps coming near. Suddenly she jumped up hand on her wand as she heard someone scream a few feet away from her. Her book lay on the floor pages sprawled and she stood deathly still watching the forest in front of her. Wand in hand she fingered it hesitantly. Closing her eyes tight she breathed in and opened them. After a few seconds she slowly made her way towards the grasping noise of someone breathing hard.

Her eyes adjusted to the dark forest and scanned across the spot in front of her and they came to a hault on a figure moving furiosly trying to scrathc his scalp. "Are you okay?" she asked her voice curios as to what was happening. She made her way over and bent down next to him her wand steadily in her right hand.

"If this is some kind of stupid joke i'll kill you, i swear i will," she said her voice trying to keep its calmness as she tried to plie his hands away from his scalp.

As the girl tried to pull Hellius' hands away from his head, his apparent pressure that was applied increased, and then decreased dramatically in an unorganized fashion. As the boy squirmed and eventually fell to the side, the scratching and tearing stopped and he didn't move at all. Several spots had blood slowly seeping out of them, but Hellius was now eerily calm.

"Voices... obscurities... figments in my mind," he murmured after a moment of silence.

Across his face streamed a subtle pattern of black marks which then seemed to disappear after several moments of them being there. Nothing more came from Hellius for the time being; his chest just slowly moved up and down.

The boy seemed to cease and Alana dropped her hands to her sides and examined him closely. He was covered in blood and she sensed him calm down as he dropped to the side.

"What's wrong with you?!" she asked her Irish accent apparent in her annoyance. She couldn't believe he had almost scratched his scalp off. She shook her head and watched as dark patterns suddenly disappeared from his face just as quickly as they had come.

His words kept running through her mind, 'Voices... obscurities... figments in my mind'. She watched him silently for a while as his chest rose in deep breathing. After a few seconds she got down next to him and attempted to pull him up, "Are you all right?" she asked as she tried to get him to sit up.

She managed to lean him against the base of a tree and plopped herself down next to him. She stared at him for a few seconds and smirked, "does this usually happen?" she asked not really expecting an answer.

Hellius sat silent for a few moments and opened his eyes subtly and slowly. His iris' again faded from a dark maroon into it's usual ocean blue. He leaned against the tree, just taking deep pondering breaths before opening his mouth once again. He released a groan, "the chances of it occurring seem to be escalating." His voice was deep and raspy. There almost seemed to be two tones escaping his lips at the same time.

A small screeching noise was scratching at his brain; almost like shell shock, yet quieter - like it wasn't even there.

She jumped slightly as she heard his low raspy answer. She smiled half to herself and positioned herself so that she was facing him directly. His face was still bloody but he was at least opening his eyes now and attempting to speak even if it did sound like it took a lot of effort. His breathing was deep and took him a while but he seemed okay other than that.

"Really? and whats causing it?" she asked with a slight smirk as her green eyes scanned his face seeing if she could keep him talking at least enough to be able to see if he was okay. She reached down to the bottom of her robe and tore a piece off and with her wand managed to make it moist.

"Are you always this crazy?" she asked with a grin letting her red hair fall in her eyes. She reached over and placed the rag on his forehead and waited to see if he would react to something cold on his head.

As the girl reached over to place the wet rag upon his forehead, Hellius reached up and almost wrapped his hand around hers. Blinking slowly and gazing in the girl's eyes with a look of slight confusion, he dropped his hand and then coughed gently, letting the stare follow down her robes.

Slytherin...

He pondered a few questions in his mind, but let them pass. It wasn't a time to be rude; that was evident. Attempting to force a smile across his own lips, he let the gaze go back to her face.

"Are you always this accommodating?" He murmured, attempting to clear his throat now. "Especially with you being a Slytherin."

Alana paused as he grabbed her arm unable to look away as he stared straight into her eyes she felt his eyes move down to her school crest and scowled. His question hit her hard and she darted her eyes to the ground and pulled her hand away with a thrust.

"Should have known that no one can take kindness without suspecting something," she said dusting herself off, "especially a Gryff!" she said spitting the last words out bringing her face close to his. She stared him down and finally looked away as she grasped for her stuff.

She smirked to herself suddenly and turned back to him, "Maybe I thought of leaving you to claw your head out but decided to amuse myself and find out what you were doing," she taunted. She knew it wasn't true and she hated herself for lying but she couldn't take being insulted just because of her house.

Hellius allowed his eyes to drop to a smug gaze of amusement. He truly was amused by the reaction he got out of her, but he didn't know why. Reaching up to grab the wet rag that was still upon his forehead, he wiped his head all around to rid himself of the remaining blood that was still dripping down his flesh. Dropping it upon the ground, he slowly pushed himself off of the ground to where he was standing completely off balance from the many different injuries that were still jetting through his entire body. He was shaking, but he fought through the pain.

"I honestly meant no disrespect... It's just that I have been completely dominated by forces that I have no idea from where they're coming from. All I know is that I woke up in the Hospital Wing this morning... and anyone can be an enemy," he retorted gently, being slightly hunched over. "Your house - with Julian, Jake, and James - doesn't exactly have the best reputation. I apologize."

Gazing deeply into the girl's eyes, he forced another gentle smile.

She scowled slightly as she felt his eyes on her but couldn't just stand there and watch him attempt to get up with such horrible balance. She carefully made her way towards him and put his arm over her, though she avoided his gaze completely. However she couldn't keep her interest hidden.

"Forces?" she asked, "so you assume that a Slytherin will be the first enemy?" she asked cocking her eyebrow slightly with interest. She smirked to show she didn't much mind and tested her foot before attempting to see if he could walk in the state he was in.

"Well before you assume something check with the person," she said with a smug grin and finally smiled. She paused slightly and quickly added, "By the way I'm Alana, Slytherin," she said with a smirk just to tease him.

Hellius allowed Alana to attempt to steady him, but he didn't want to be too much of a hindrance. He steadied himself on one foot and gently leaned into the girl. His smile partially faded, "Julian used dark magic; shattered a 'Puff's hand to bits." He sighed and groaned slightly, hopping on one foot as she stepped. "What would ya think my first assumption would be?"

Thinking over what the professors had told him, with his affliction being a curse, he sighed again. "Apparently, I am, as of this morning, affected with some curse that most of the professors have never seen before. I'm... erm... Hellius - Gryffindor."

OOC: If you haven't noticed, I've taking a liking to your style of rping. :P

Alana paused slightly and thought about it, she didn't really want to say anything against her own house members but what the guy had done was pretty bad, even violent. Instead she nodded her head and smirked, "Hmm…puff? Never thought of calling them that, thanks for the new nickname," she said with a grin glancing over at him. She watched as he hopped on one foot and couldn't suppress her laughter.

"Are you sure you don't want to just sit down for a while?" she asked him trying to keep her voice from showing any concern. She leaned against a tree and glanced over at him pondering what he said. "curse?" she repeated to herself letting the words sink in and thinking about what he had said when he had been half delusional.

She looked up and grinned, "kinda figured you were a gryff, your very stubborn," she replied motioning to his attempt at walking.

Hellius shook his head and separated himself from Alana when she leaned against the tree. He continued to stand despite his almost completely dominated appearance, and let his arms hang lifelessly to save more energy. "The sooner we get back to the damned school, the sooner I get to sit. I'd rather be somewhere within shelter distance than in the middle of a danger filled forest."

Sighing again, he looked over at Alana with an apparent glint in his eye and began to examine her a little more closely. After a few short moments, he looked away and began to limp off towards the exit of the forest again. "Besides that, I would probably want to survive if I'd ever want to get to know you better."

Alana studied him as he steadied himself trying to keep himself straight up. She smirked and tilted her head, "right, but either way aren't you a danger to yourself shelter or no shelter?" she asked her eyes steadied remembering the way she had found him. She shook her head slightly and smiled.

She watched with interest as he began to limp off towards the school and was about to follow him when his words caught her off guard. She paused for a few moments and watched him her green eyes watched his every move and she finally shook her head and with a few strides reached him. Grabbing his arm she placed it over her shoulder and turned to him.

"You sure you wouldn't rather be dead?" she asked with a smirk. Her eyes glinted and she converted her eyes toward the ground making sure to step over vines or tree lumps so as to not trip.

Hellius smirked as Alana continued her game of twenty questions. Shaking his head out of entertainment, he looked down as well to see where she was taking her steps. "This thing in my head is what is hurting me. I'm not a threat to myself, it is," he notified, stepping slowly over a set of roots. At this point, the blood from his scalp had stopped flowing down his face and it was almost as if his wounds were already healed.

Looking at the girl out of the corner of his eye, he soon rotated his head to focus the entirety of his gaze on her. Beginning to drag his feet to make her stop, Hellius nuzzled his lips right next to her ear. He whispered, "everyone dies at one point of their life. I'd rather see what I can before it happens."

Unfortunately, the very moment that Hellius had decided to stop, there were vines that were spread widely across the ground. His foot caught on one and it started a tug of war with his leg.

Alana couldn't help but continue her thousand of questions, "Sure it's not a threat, but still hurting you, either way your not safe inside or outside," she said her smirk apparent on her face. "What is this curse anyways, some voice in your head or something?" she asked leaning her weight completely on her left foot so as to be more stable in holding him up.

Alana smiled and turned her head, "I think if I was hurt either way I'd like to be out here instead of inside, it's different and the danger isn't any worse than the mob of boys and girls who roam the halls," she said with a grin tilting her head slightly as she gazed straight ahead.

She slowed down as she felt his foot dragging and suddenly they had stopped his lips near her ear his voice echoing inside her. everyone dies at one point of their life. I'd rather see what I can before it happens. She turned to face him and her head bumped into his as he struggled with the vine back and forth. She smirked and tilted her head, "you'd be surprised of what you see before that point," she replied and bent down to try to pull his foot free.

Hellius shook his head in uncertainty and tried at all possible to help free his leg. Looking upwards and out into the forest, he wasn't sure where they were in the least. Shrugging practically absentmindedly, he turned his gaze back to Alana and sighed. "Maybe we should stop for a bit...," he murmured.

Finally freeing his leg of the vine, Hellius separated himself of the girl and stumbled over to a nearby tree. Sitting against the trunk, he looked back at her, smirked, and crossed his arms.

"It's a parasite."

Alana nodded her head and turned her gaze towards the forest in front of them as Hellius made his way towards a nearby tree. She had been in the forest many times and even been lost for days. Either way she never really knew the way back and that never bothered her, but now that Hellius had to get back not knowing which way to go was bad.

She sighed outwardly and wrinkled her nose slightly as she stood in the same spot gazing out into the endless forest. His voice penetrated her thoughts and she turned to look at him. "Well that's interesting," she said wondering how bad a parasite could be, sure she had read about them but not in full detail.

She cocked her head and smirked, "If I summoned you a broomstick would you be able to ride it back to Hogwarts?" she asked looking down at him her eyes twinkling. "Without any help and by yourself, I'd have to stay," she explained her eyes traveling to her hand in her cloak pocket, fingers on wand.

It was weird she was offering a gryffindor help, she smirked inwardly and shook her head slightly.

Hellius shook his head absently as Alana suggested to allow him to ride back to Hogwarts on a broom. Leaning further into the trunk again, he groaned slightly as a screeching was ever more evident in the back of his head again. It was a whisper that he could hear, yet it wasn't there. It was telling him something, but he couldn't decipher it at that moment. "I believe that I'm in better company here with you than the idiots back at the school, to be honest," he announced, letting a solid curl of a smirk emanate.

He wasn't sure about the parasite, and many of the professor's weren't either. What spell caused it was absolutely unknown, and how to reverse it was completely out of reach of everyone. Hellius would just have to live with it for the time being and not allow it to take over.

"Besides, who cares if we get lost out here or not? We miss classes, and..." he trailed off. Smirking a little wider and looking away, a chuckle almost escaped his lips.
