Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? Sixth Year Posts: 858 Group: Slytherin Member #171 Joined: Jul 27 2007 Age 15 Location Pennsylvania, USA	Ella entered the class room. She was in a good mood, as she always was when coming to Charms...this was her favorite class, and definitely the one that she was best at. She noted with some disappointment that Professor. MacDonald hadn't returned yet, but she pushed that out of her mind as she sat down and began to read the board. "Aloha Monkey" she said confidently. As nothing happened, she tried once more...then again...and again..... She finally sat, her arms crossed, glaring at the door in front of her. It never took her this long to at least make something happen, epically in Charms!

Catty entered her 2nd period class avoiding the eyes of anyone as she took her seat. She kept her expression blank, when really, her thoughts were just everywhere. She looked absently at the board, not really registering it and instead watched the other kids. She'd mimic their words and movement once her brain concentrated on the actual lesson.

"Ummm, Professor, I think something's happened with the board..." she said, slightly confused. She hadn't seen the professor change it - and why would she if the correct incantation had been up earlier? "Well, guys, it's supposed to be Aloha morah. I don't really know what's going on..." Noticing a bit of tension, she awkwardly tried to change the subject, "So, Santiago, what do you think of Hogwarts so far?" she asked lamely.

"Waddiwassi" Erin said pointing her wand at the poltergeist (OOC: thank you very much professor Lupin :D). "Now that yer resident poltergeist has managed to take down the notes I'll tell yez myself. Aloha morah opens locks, colloportus locks them. Aloha morah makes a clicky sound while colloportus makes a squelching sound" Erin summed up, Turning on the poltergeist. "Get out of my class room" She yelled, her voice echoed through the class room and the adjacent hall. Pointing to the door. Due to her Irish descendants, Erin was very good at working up a mean temper and could get very aggressive.

"Not too late am I?" Clif asked as he smoothed down his hair. It was not until a few minutes he spotted a short red headed girl standing up the front of the class. She wasn't much taller then Clif. Clif searched the class room for the charms professor, or Mac as he called himself.There was no sign of him. "Where's the professor and whose the new girl up the front?" Clif asked Jodi, then spotted that August wasn't here and he reclined back in his seat.

Aloha Monkey? That can't possibly be right. Allie was a little puzzled but suddenly understood as the teacher walked up to the middle of the class and explained the spell. Looking over to Fi and Addy and waved with a smile. She saw the minature door in front of her and tried the spell. "Alohamora." She tapped the door lock as she did so. She saw the small door unlock.

Unregistered	"Aloh Morah" Ben said pointing his wand at the miniture door, the spell made a clicking sound on the door, meaning it was probably now unlocked. So far so good "Colloportus" He sound loudly and there was a loud squelch, locking the door again. He pushed on the mini door with his thumb to check and to his delight the spell had been successful. He grinned to Jodi.

Her mother had told her about the Hogwarts poltergeist, saying that he could be troublesome ("but also a relief in some classes" her Mum had said with a chuckle) - she had forgotten. She looked up as Clif joined her at the table, "Apparently Professor Mac isn't teaching today... I'm not really sure why, come to think of it, but this is our substitute anyway. Oh, and the spell on the board is wrong, it's aloha morah, not aloha monkey!" she explained, finishing with a small laugh. Turning around, she saw that Ben had completed the spell successfully, and returned his grin. "It's a pretty handy little charm, isn't it? My parents use it to keep my little brother and sister out of the kitchen cupboards," she had forgotten until just now where she had seen the spell before, and smiled absently as she thought of her family. edit: After a few moments she realized that it was the end of class. Packing up her things, she headed for History of Magic.

Allie noticed it was also time to go she packed up her things headed out the door to History of Magic.
