Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor Posts: 164 Group: Professor Member #203 Joined: Sep 20 2007	Taylor entered the classroom and began writting the lesson on the board. *** Hello (again!) Today we will be studying the Tickling Charm. Please copy these notes down, and then pair off to practice the spell. The tickling Charm ( "Ricktusempra" ) does exactly what it sounds like when performed correctly- it creates a tickling sensation on whoever it is cast on. While this particular charm may seem rather harmless, don't be wuick to judge...when used in a duel, a spell that makes a person roll on the floor with laughter, unable to speak, is rather handy!! The counter charm is "Finite" ***

Unregistered	Ben entered the room and noticed the same professor as last lessons DADA in the room on her own again "Erm Hello again" Ben said to her, he took a seat near the front and copied down the notes, but as he was the only student he couldn't partner anyone. He turned to the professor again "How come your teaching us again?" He asked

Sixth Year Posts: 858 Group: Slytherin Member #171 Joined: Jul 27 2007 Age 15 Location Pennsylvania, USA	After seeing what class they had next, Ella had hurried towards the charms room. She arrived first and sat down, eager to begin what was easily her best and favortie subject. She saw that the odd woman from defence ( ) was there instead of Professor MacDonald and raised her brow slighty, but she quickly but it in the back of her mind and began copying the notes down.

Unregistered	August entered the classroom for what was one of her more preferred subjects and took a seat alongside another girl she had yet to meet. She took out her things and turned to her, "Hi. I'm August. Hope you don't mind if I sit here." As of yet August had not really met anyone well enough to consider them good, close friends. There was another Gryffindor girl, Jodi, whom she felt could definitely be just that but hadn't spoken to her enough at present. She read the board with interest and noted the spell they would be trying: The Tickling Charm.....let's give it a try. She turned to the girl beside her, "Did you want to partner me with this?"

When she finished, she set down her quill and looked at her. "But, most people call me Ella." When the Gryffindor asked her to be her partner, Ella shrugged and agreed. She stood up and took out her wand and flicked her wrist a few times in practice. She took a few steps back and said "After you?"

Unregistered	August grinned and flicked her wand, shouting the spell as she did so. "Riktusempra," she cried, watching as the spell shot towards the Slytherin girl. Initially she had read 'Tickling Charm' with slight disdain but upon reading the reasoning below she could she its use. Not to mention it's funny to watch, she added to herself.

Even though she knew that that particular charm was supposed to do that, she still felt rather embarrassed for standing in the middle of the classroom, laughing like a moron. :rolleyes: . She pointed her wand at august and cried "Riktusempra!!" She felt the spell shoot from her wand and head for august and she watched it, postive that it would hit it's mark.

Unregistered	August was struck with the charm and felt herself imitate what she had just watched; uncontrollable laugher that exploded from her mouth. It was almost enjoyable, laughing so heartily and merrily until after twenty seconds or so she noticed something odd. The charm was gaining strength the longer it was on her and she started to panic. Yet this panic didn't show on her face due to the charm. August looked at the Slytherin girl with fear in her eyes. She had heard about a girl in first year being a Charms prodigy yet hadn't guessed it had been her. The charm she had cast was exceptionally powerful and if it persisted much longer it was going to start causing damage to her. Though she couldn't talk her eyes spoke plenty: Lift the charm, please! It hurts...it hurts!

Unregistered	She took several deep breaths and coughed a bit before composing herself, "Yeah, I'm fine....just....wow. Your strong. It was fine at first but after a bit it just got stronger and stronger. Laughing that hard hurts after a while." She saw the expression on the girl's face and hastened to comfort her, "Don't worry though. I'm fine! Just a bit too much of a good thing."

She recognized the professor from their last class (OOC: i'm just going to pretend she was there, if that's okay with everybody...) and gave her a warm smile before taking down the notes from the board. When she had finished she turned to Ben - it seemed like forever sice she'd last spoken to him - and asked, "Mind being my partner for this?"

She was slightly nervous - she hadn't really been expected to allow another student to practice spells on her yet. It shouldn't hurt too much, should it? I hope not, anyway... Afterall, it is a tickling charm... The thought of using a spell to tickle someone made a small smile play across her face as she braced herself for what would come.

Unregistered	"Ok then" He said and Pointed his wand firmly at Jodi "Riktusempra!" and a odd coloured spell shot out from his wand, he wasn't sure if it was correct or not as he had not tried this spell before, but hoped it was correct as his friend was on the end of it

Second Year Posts: 177 Group: Gryffindor Member #184 Joined: Aug 27 2007	Jodi winced slightly as a fast-moving ball of color shot towards her from Ben's wand. She couldn't help thinking Is it supposed to look like that? before it hit her, square in the stomach. The impact was followed by a short moment of tense silence and then a strange tickling sensation began in her stomach, spreading to her arms and legs. She began giggling quietly, then got louder as the spell expanded and grew stronger. However, as the tickling got stronger, she began to feel a tightening around her body - as if someone was trying to squeeze the laughter out of her. She was rolling on the ground by this point, and the tightening was making her start to choke, but she couldn't stop laughing to catch her breath. OOC: it's not too serious, just spicing things up - if it's ok with you, that is

Unregistered	Ben was largely concerned from how the spell had gone, Oh god. His mind went back to when the same thing happened to Merrick but with a different spell in the common room. What was that spell It came to him as he raised his wand again at Jodi "Finite!" He shouted

Second Year Posts: 177 Group: Gryffindor Member #184 Joined: Aug 27 2007	Jodi heard Ben cast the finsihing spell and her manic laughter died off quickly. She coughed quietly as she stood up and dusted off her robes. A little bit of embarrassment combined with a lack of air had caused her to grow slightly red in the face, and she could see that Ben was concerned. Not wanting him to feel bad, she quickly tried to reassure him, "Oh, I'm fine, really. It was even a little bit fun!" She actually had found it rather amusing until the choking had started. "Well, then, here it goes, I guess," she said, directing her wand at Ben. As she said the spell her wand drifted a little bit off-target and the result was a resounding crack against the wall behind her friend. Reddening again, she reminded herself to concentrate and as she did this, muttered the incantation. She kept her wand poised in case she would have to lift the charm quickly.
