Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control?

The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make?

Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It's up to each individual to decide their fate, where will you decide to go?

Blame my stupid Professors and their homework which I hate with all my little black heart. 2. The flu is seriously pissing me off. Oh the things I want to do with fire so that everything can smoulder down to no problem at all. 3. My nezt issue....Mr. Surla, YOU KEEP MENTIONING THAT YOU SHOULD PLAY MY FATHER. WHen we have never talked about it once! Nor have YOU ASKED ME. Think of me sitting here, usually in my killing mode, seeing this post.... All we ever talk about on YIM is usually something else, which i'm sure you wouldn't want to discuss upon this board, I'm sure....Also, your RP/character's plot does not need to revolve and or rely on me. While people may be unable to plan their plot according to what will occur, the main events that will happen will come at more of a surprise.

Deleted User	Okiedokie...nobody has used this thread in forever so...I suppose we should discuss what's started with the centaurs, dark creatures, and anything that results from that since it concerns the whole school: I suppose Bidelia is going to make everyone aware of what has happened at dinner, but I'll go over it for clarification then go straight to discussion on what should happen next. My ideas here (except for the stuff concerning Abbadon's body, which wasn't my idea but I'm including it because it was talked about yesterday) affects everyone in a political sense and the resulting relationship between the school and the ministry could probably be used for all sorts of things in the future (and I'm going on things that were discussed on the C-box yesterday, so bear with me if I forget anything). So the Ministry has just passed a nasty piece of legislation restricting the territories of the centaurs (Headed by that woman you love to hate, Senior Undersecretary Dolores Jane Umbridge). They are pissed. So, rather than comply with the ministry (what, you thought they would?) they've begun to patrol all parts of the Forbidden Forest, threatening to oust any human who enters. They are now lead by another member of the herd, Ronin, who is more or less simply a brute. Adding to the danger, a large group of Red Caps (dark creatures whose bloodlust compels them to stain their caps red with the blood of victims) has been spotted (or rather, slaughtered in a bloody confrontation with the centaurs) far too close to the school for anyones peace of mind. I haven't got a clue when Professor Tortal is to begin his his bid for whatever he's supposed to be looking for, but perhaps we can tie this in with the protection failing in some way? Anyways, Bidelia is going to confront the centaurs at some point, as she as stated in the RP. Perhaps it is then that Addie (who I suppose could follow the professors--and myself--in the forest to find to her horror the body of Abbadon Deletrious (as she had volunteered to do in the c-box)? And that will start...whatever that's supposed to start as a plot concerning the overall plot of the school (you guys think of that one). The centaurs will be blamed for his death prompting Doleres Umbridge and her sympathizers to use the situation to their pass anti-halfbreed and anti-part-human legislation (probably need to think up names to for the acts) which includes not only centaurs, but half-giants, merpeople, werewolves, part-veelas, ect., and by passing more and more legislation, they one-by-one strip the rights of these beings until they are at last able (late in the year) to have government power to round up and detain them. I know there is at least one or two part-veelas in this school. If they don't want to be involved in this, than we can take part-veela off the list. The school could perhaps eventually be put on lockdown temporarily, with no students allowed on the grounds or in the forest until the lockdown is lifted. Perhaps also, a task force of magical law enforcement should be stationed at or near the school. And while one would expect them to be worried about the threat of dark cretures, it will become apparent that members of the ministry are using this situation to further their political agenda against halfbreeds and part-humans. When, of course, when some dark creatures actually DO get dangerously close (maybe even on the front lawn) to the school, the professors and some foolish students (and the law enforcement once they realize what's going on) will have to repel them. Afterwards, those who passed the legislation will be discredited for failing to see the real danger, and all laws that they passed will be nullified, the centaurs will get their territory back, and all captive halfbreeds and part-humans will be released. At the end of the year there should be a touching/corny end-of-term feast where all those who might have been taken from the school by the ministry will return and those moronic students who helped fight back the creatures will be awarded last-minute house points instead of being turned into bowls of pudding like what I would do to them if I myself was a wizard and some snot nosed brats disobeyed me. But that's beside the point. The Daily Prophet would need to be relied on to further the plot, with the newspaper reporting the actions of the ministry and the half-breeds/part-humans (with the ministry's spin on it, of course) and perhaps even quotes and interviews with Umbridge herself (who would be leading the legislation). Other things that COULD come of this that would effect the entire plot of the site: Dark creature sightings could continue up until sometime fourth year (when I guess Tortal is going to do whatever he's going to do) alluding to the fact that the protection is failing. The disagreement between the ministry in the school over the issues presented this year could be used to cause a rift in the relationship between the two, and that could be used to effect later plots in some way. Whatever's going to come of Hellius' and Addie's involvement (apparently they've been planning something). Perhaps the professors, due to the danger from dark creatures and centaurs, could begin to teach more and more combative spells (thus arming both sides in the main conflict of the RP). *This could be an early major open disagreement between the two infant groups. Obviously, one would think the pureblood maniacs would side with the ministry on their actions against half-breeds/part-humans, while the other side would be a bit more humane in their views. Just a thought. Just thinking ahead with those. I don't have any idea what you guys are planning, but I thought I'd throw in my two-cents. Again, these are suggestions and stuff that I think would be common sense concerning what people like the ministry would do in this situation. Okay then: Discussion OPEN

Also, building off of your idea of 'charms breaking' and such, what if... the protective charms around Hogwarts broke, and all manner of evil/dangerous things slowly began to trickle in, whether in the form of a scary beast or evil witches/wizards. And we students and teachers are forced to... y'know, fight them off? That could be quite the adventure, I think. Only not all at once, as that would be a bit overwhelming, obviously. I love the idea, really. But, y'know, we could have the teachers and Higher Years going first, along with Prefects. If all fails, we could go more into depth and a few people can figure out how the charms were broken. Learning that, we could fix them. Then, the First years are told to stay where they are and are escorted to class, like in CoS. Eventually we defeat the evil creatures, but the Dark Lord is at large, again.
