Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? Sixth Year Posts: 2,337 Group: Gryffindor Member #13 Joined: Jan 3 2007 Gender Male Blood Status Muggleborn Age 21 RP Relationship Status in a Relationship with Athena Bellchambers	OOC: Classes are about to finish, if students can make their way to dinner and wrap stuff up before we head into the quidditch match. I'm not sure of the time differences but either M.A, Tristan, Addie or myself. Will be starting the match threads. Once again, I reiterate, Tristan is going to commentate the Gryffindor Versus Slytherin match, and I will be commentating the Ravenclaw Versus Hufflepuff game. Again, if you are confused read through the instructions, if you are still confused PM me. (I won't bite, only nibble). If a beater posts and interrupts a goal in any stage the bludger cannot be avoided, however, if you want to post that your chaser dodged a bludger and one of the beaters hasn't posted you are allowed to do that. EG Chaser: Chas (short for chaser), caught the quaffle, he did a loop the loop and narrowly avoided the bludger shaking his fist he performed a look-away pass.

Kidnapped! Posts: 2,756 Group: Ravenclaw Member #114 Joined: Mar 9 2007	Tristan walked through the large double doors of the Great Hall, his Nimbus 2000 slung over his shoulder. To his surprise his entrance resulted in large cheers and applause from the Ravenclaw table. He grinned broadly, though a little embarrassed at the attention, and took a seat at the table. Various house mates wished him good luck and patted him on the back. One particularly pretty girl saying, "Good luck, Tristan. I'll be watching you closely. And not just because you'll be playing." She wandered away to sit with her third year friends, leaving Tristan a little punch drunk. Tristan placed his broom beside and began to fill his plate, not overly hungry due to nerves but he knew he should eat for his strength.

Besides, people from Gryffindor were waving him over to sit with them. John shrugged his shoulder slung his broom and bat over his shoulder and sat down with the other Gryffindor students. They all wished him luck and tried to make him eat. For the first time in a meal, John stared and poked his food more then he ate. His plate filled with food stuffs that had been put onto his plate by older students encouraging him to eat for strength. John merely pushed his plate away and gazed at the door, he longed for Addie, Eli and V's company, what he would give for Clif, August, Lavender, anyone of the house mates he was friends with just to sit so they could distract him from the quidditch and not have the older kids trying to force feed him food he did not want.

Fourth Year Posts: 711 Group: Ravenclaw Member #119 Joined: Mar 16 2007	Riley entered the Great Hall to tomultuous applause and cheering of her name. This caused her to stop in surprise and check herself for exposed underwear, a sign on her back, or strange markings on her face. When she couldn't find anything she asked one of the clapping Ravenclaws what it was all about, "Tonight's game. You guys are going to wipe the floor with Hufflepuff!" Once she realised that she wasn't being made fun of but rather cheered on she thanked everyone before taking her usual spot acorss from Tristan. She grinned at her friend, "Well that was unexpected. But nice." She wasn't very hungry but felt like a nice apple. She glanced arounf the table but couldn't find any. However, she spotted an orange and grabbed it, tapping it with her wand, "Mumobula," whereby it morphed into a shiny red apple. She happily took a bite and faced her friend. "Ready to win?"

Not who I was asking for but thanks anyway John thought, he would have preferred a member of his quidditch team to sit in solace with him. He stood up, John thought it was best not to have the conversation with Ben at the table as the older were already glaring at him. "How are you? How have classes been?" John asked, he noticed the boy was carrying a broomstick, the boy must be on the Hufflepuff team John thought, but he saw no badge. I wonder who the Hufflepuff captain is? John wondered.

He found he couldn't stop grinning as every few minutes a Ravenclaw would walk by and pat him or Riley on the back with words of encouragement and well wishing. He felt like a celebrity, being the captain of the team. His shiny badge reflected the candle light and he noticed that more than a few others were glancing at him in admiration.

We need you on the Pitch," she said teasingly. She swallowed a chunk of her apple and took another, flicking her head towards John and Ben talking acordd the Hall, "I think John is quite a good player. He'll be tough when we play them. But I didn't know that first year, Ben I think, played Quidditch. Wonder if he's any good." She stared at him appraisingly for a moment before taking a sip from her goblet.

He's light and nimble, could be a good Seeker, maybe a Chaser. But every advantage has a disadvantage. In less than perfect weather he'll more easily go off course and be affected by wind and such." Tristan scooped up a large mouthful of mashed potatoes, swallowing with difficulty before continuing, "Still, after tonight we'll have a good idea of our opponents. I actually have to commentate the second match between Slytherin and Gryffindor so I'll have a good appraisal of their teams for future matches." Professor Kelly had spoken to him earlier about commentating the second match and John would do the first. He figured it might be fun and had accepted the task. OOC: Hope that's ok Professor Kelly.

She finished her apple and downed her juice, "I don't think I can eat anymore, I'm too excited!" Her stomach was full of butterflies and she was anxious to get out there. She wanted to release some of her energy but knew she couldn't yet, not until she reached the Pitch.

He looked around the Great Hall expectantly, hoping to catch Abaddon and Maffer before the Match. As Keeper and Seeker they had pivotal roles and he wanted to discuss a few things with them. John said. "I'm sure you'll do fine, you've had a practice run, it's all you need" John said, not really concentrating on Ben's problem, he had his own. John was getting his endorphins pumping, this often happened before sporting events or competition with John, though when this happened John was very fragile. Butterflies flew around John's stomach and he felt as though they were clearly breaking the speed limit. "Excuse me" John said to Ben before walking into a corner and taking long deep breaths.

She noticed, her heart sinking slightly, that Nate hadn't arrived yet. She scolded herself inwardly; she had no reason to believe that their flirtatious (at least that was how it had seemed to her) conversation on the first night had been anything more than the friendly banter of colleagues. She shook her head, focusing on her plate which was just now filling with delicious food. As usual, she thanked the house elves in her mind for the delicacies laid out before her, and then tucked in.

She was carring a school broom, a slightly batered cleansweep. Mentally cursing the first year ban on brooms, she tried to strighten out the twigs and pick off bad ends when she sat down. Looking up and down the table, she noticed one or two older students nodding in her direction or wishing her luck. She smiled nervously, ignoring the food in front of her-Ella's stomach was fluttering so much in anticipation that there was a good chance that her dinner woudn't stay down too long.. :ph43r:

Deputy Headmaster & Transfiguration Professor Posts: 768 Group: Ravenclaw Head of House Member #122 Joined: Mar 20 2007	Professor Aphelion strolled through the doors into the Great Hall and headed for the Head Table. He gave an encouraging nod to his Quidditch team players before taking a seat beside Adelina, a fellow Professor an extremely beautiful witch. "Ah, Adelina! How lovely to see you! How was your first day of classes?" He was quite drawn to the witch and they had shared a moment the previous year which was unfortunately cut short by unforeseen circumstances.
