Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? Fantastic Mac though. Dwelling on his holidays he had an extreemly wonderful idea. Ella would see him after class. She was the answer to the Charms worlds problem. He would tutor her every waking hour if he had to. He must nurture her talent so she can solve the Charms worlds drought of spells. Mac turned to Ella's victim "Eneverate"

Fourth Year Posts: 570 Group: Slytherin Member #187 Joined: Aug 31 2007	Mel came running into the classroom and said Im so so so sorry g-g-g-got lost again Mel embarrased went on , sat down and copied down her notes and noticed that other classmates were saying spells she went on, raised her hand and said , What about Flipedo?

No way! she whispered to herself ..... wat if she messed up and like she said she is not an expert............. So she went up shaking in fear she said to herself Ok you can do this , prove that you are not lying! She was now facing the chair stopped and said to herself Dont be afraid, if you are afraid the spell can go wrong She took her wand out and pointed it at the chair and said Flipedo! a burst of blue light came out of her wand and she knocked the chair down! She was in shock , she couldnt believe it............... and she said No , No , No that was not me it couldnt be ! she froze completely

Very humorous and easy to reverse. "Lesson one, those who volunteer are also to be subjected to being guinea pigs themselves" Mac said waving his wand and put a cheering charm. "Any more volunteers?" Mac said.

She was now more embarrased and said to herself are you going mad or wat ? Now she felt stupid for yelling ..................... and said Nah never mind Ill let someone else volunteer... She smiled weakly and put her head down OOC : Does this make sense? Im a bit confused

First Year Posts: 61 Group: Ravenclaw Member #183 Joined: Aug 19 2007	Maffer dropped his head into his arms, bored, he half-wished he could perform something in front of the class. He liked being the center of attention, but right now it was this "Ella" girl, petrifying the slytherin girl from the class before. What other charms do i know? There's .... a.. protego, incendio, confundus I can't do, diffindo, flagrate, lumos and nox.. silencio I know, accio is tricky, never quite got the hang of it. I know mum put an extension charm on my trunk... He raised his hand heartily when he heard the professor ask for more. OOC: some of these I learned last year, and the others I'm crediting to my character's mother, is that acceptable?

You" Mac said pointing to the Ravenclaw boy, Maffer, "you said you could do the diffindo charm" Mac said bringing out a white sheet of fabric. "For five points" Mac said setting it up.

After the sheet was up, he focused on splitting it in half, and the incantation, diffindo... He took his wand up in his usual right-handed grip which looked like he was about to run someone through, he took a deep breath and shouted "Diffindo!" while stepping, swishing his wand from the top to the bottom of the sheet, not touching it. The sheet moved as if shook from the bottom, and a clean tear formed at the top and drifted down to the final fiber at the bottom. He looked to the professor for approval...

Mac pointed his wand at Maffer "Wingardium Leviosa" Mac said shooting the spell at Maffer. "Now, onto our first lesson, this is the spell you are required to perform. Here at my desk is a box of feathers. Take one and try to perform this spell" Mac said still controlling Maffer with his wand.

He didn't know what to do or think or say... He was now reminded of a special ability he wanted to know about, "Excuse me, professor, is it true that there is a way to fly rapidly, but completely unsupported? With complete freedom of motion?" OOC: Mac, you have reign to put me back in my seat when you're done, I'll post again 8 hours from now

There is a charm to make inatimate opjects fly. For example, broom sticks or Flying carpets. However, the individual cannot make themselves fly, yet, Magic is an ever expanding field, with new spells always being created, well usually, anyway. Onto the task, the wand movements are page 13 of your text book and as you have seen the incantation is a "Wingardium Leviosa". OOC: if you have finished the spell you can chose to pack up and leave, I am unsure what class you have next but that will be running it soon EDIT: You have History of Magic next with Professor Isodle Mahoney

She gasped in surprise when the professor levitated another student into the air. So that's what we'll be doing today. She smiled when she realized how light-hearted and fun-loving the professor seemed These classes should be loads of fun! Eager to begin practicing, she made her way to the front of the class and selected a dark brown feather to return to her desk with. Sitting down, she flipped to page 13 in her textbook and read. Then, took out her wand and began practicing her pronunciation and 'swish and flick' wand movement.

Unregistered	Ben watched on as the Students showed some of their spells, "Yeah its been good so far, how have you found it?" he asked Jodi Back petrificus totalus..Isnt that the spell I used on Merrick "I tried this spell earlier" He grinned at Jodi "Wingardium Leviosa" And Just like earlier the object, this time a feather rose through the ai. This is easy, I want to try something tough He moved the feather so it was hovering over the New Slytherin girl (OOC - Mel that would be) He grinned and waited for her to notice the object hovering above her

She watched carefully as Ben did the spell and giggled good-naturedly when she realized where he was hovering it. Wanting to try the spell for herself, she turned her attention back to the desk and concentrated hard. She copied Ben's wand movements as she muttered, "Wingardium Leviosa." The small brown feather on her desk rose about a foot into the air - steady for a moment - then fluttered as if caught in a breeze, and floated back to the desk. Not bad for a first try, she thought. She looked to Ben again and noticed how relaxed he was. She tried to relax herself while maintaining concentration, "Wingardium Leviosa,"... nothing, she had forgotten the wand movement. With one last attempt, she pulled it all together, smoothly directing her feather into the air high above her head. Focusing on holding it there while she was speaking proved to be difficult, but she managed to ask Ben, "When did you try this spell? Know any others?" she was eager to learn as much as possible.

Second Year Posts: 179 Group: Hufflepuff Member #136 Joined: May 19 2007	Merrick took out his wand and practiced the swish and flick wand movement a few times, making sure he had it seemingly correct. Confident he could do this, he made the wand movement at his feather, "Wingardium Leviosa,"however, the feather only flickered up and landed straight away. Not disillusioned because it had at least moved he continued to try, getting more and more movement until after the fifth attempt it levitated gently off his desk and hovered where he pointed his wand. He smiled in relief, happy to have succeeded again in magic.

Unregistered	He kept his feather still hovering above the girls head and manage to talk at the same time "I practiced it earlier this morning and last night in the Common Room, I Know Incedio and Lumos..well kind of" He remembered that he did not sucessfully do them this morning.
