Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? TBA Posts: 531 Group: External Citizen Member #29 Joined: Jan 9 2007	Mac was already in the charms room but used a simple spell to get his first year charm book as he changes it with his second year charms books. Erasing the last of the second year notes off the board. He wrote up the next simple notes. Introduction to Charms Welcome to charms, Charms focuses on the incantation more then Transfiguration. However, concentration and wand movements are also important Charms is defined as the making of an object have a part of it changed. For example floating. The charm you will be doing today is "Wingardium Leviosa". Wingardium Leviosa is the flotation spell. It differs slightly from Accio and Locomotor charms, what is the difference for 5 house points? Once you have copied these notes you are to practise the incantation "Wingardium Leviosa" on the feathers in this box, the first to master the spell will recieve 10 house points. The wand movement is a swish and flicking motion described on page 13 of your Charms for Begginers, by Emeric Switch, if you are unsure of how to perform the spell. "Does anyone know any charms? Before we begin?" Mac said.

Second Year Posts: 177 Group: Gryffindor Member #184 Joined: Aug 27 2007	Jodi walked into the Charms classroom and placed her things on a desk at the front. Being very shy on her first day of classes, she didn't greet the professor, but went straight to taking notes – she hoped this didn't seem too rude. When finished, she raised her hand tentatively and said, "Professor, I believe the difference between the spells is that Wingardium Leviosa is the only existing floating spell. Accio and Locomotor are similar, but the first makes things zoom toward you, while the second makes things hover just off the ground in front of you." With that she gave the professor a hopeful smile and began thinking of the spells she had been practicing at home with her parents.

"That is correct, Accio is a summoning charm and locomotor is a hover charm. Wingardium Leviosa is a floating or flying charm. 5 points to Gryffindor. Well done miss" Mac said, "Any volunteers for spells? Perhaps our question answerer has one that she knows, or anyone else, don't be afraid I won't bite" Mac said cheerily.

Unregistered	Ben entered the classroom "Hey sir" He grinned as he entered as he was very happy from last lesson where he thought he did very well, He sat down next to Jodi "Heya". Ben was much more lively now then he was in last lesson due to his sucess, he began to copy the notes Ohhhh i praticed that spell with Merrick He had relised that the spell today being practiced was one of the ones he tried with Merrick yesterday evening

"Aha" Mac said turning his wand on his desk "Incendio" Mac said as he flicked his wand. The desk burst into flames. Many children jumped back. "Aguamenti" Mac said pointing his wand at the desk and putting the flames out. "Repero" Mac said and the desk fixed itself. "Anyone else?" Mac said looking back into the students faces

First Year Posts: 61 Group: Ravenclaw Member #183 Joined: Aug 19 2007	Maffer strode into charms, just hearing the last snippet of the professor's question, eager to impress, he set his things down and spoke, "A few i've heard of are protean charms, the fidelius, and diffindo, which my mother taught me before I came here." He said with a smirk. He hoped these were sufficient to throw a few points into Ravenclaw's glass. they were lagging behind and it was only second period...

Unregistered	Ben was shocked when the professer set fire to his own desk Blimey... He listened to the Ravenclaw who answered with some more spells, before putting his hand up again "Also Lumos, the light making spell" Another one of the spells he had tried this morning with no luck

She enjoyed hearing about spells that other students knew, and seeing the professor demonstrate them. Having answered the first question correctly, she had the confidence to speak again, "Ummm, Professor, what about the unlocking and repairing charms - Alohamora and Reparo?" Jodi was glad that she had decided to look over her school books and practice with her parents a bit before leaving for school. She was also very happy to be at her first charms class. She had heard some students complain about how boring it was, but she was excited about the class - and looking forward to the prospect of using her wand for nearly the entire time. When Ben sat down beside her she smiled at him, "Hi! How's your day been so far, what did you think of the first class?" Now that she had begun to settle into the routine at school, she was more comfortable and ready to talk to her friends.

Not knowing what to do, she blurted out, eager to know if she was right or not. Uhh, Am I late professor? Sorry if I am..... She walked over to a random seat in the middle and sat, listening. She check once more to see if her matchstick was still in her pocket and she knew it was.

SHe had discovered she had a knack for the subject last year. She raised her hand and said "Sir, The full body bind, Potrificus Totallas" she smirked, remembering the time she performed the spell last year.

"Good very good, we have diffindo, lumos, aloha morah, indeed, and quiet right Petrificus Totalus is certainly a charm indeed my dear, now you boy" Mac said pointing to Maffer, "said you could do the diffindo curse I believe, that is what you where refering to as I doubt you could produce a protean or fidelius charms at your age though perhaps one day you may. Ella, I would be delighted to have you up the front as well. Now I know this class isn't filled with volunteers so I may have to choose one. You miss, the one who just sat down and who is not late perhaps if you could come up the front dear. Don't worry I won't bite. I've eaten breakfast" Mac said a delightful little chuckle escaped his mouth.

Well, it seems that i'm a bit hungry myself....didn't have much to eat this morning...ahh...sucks... She drooped her head then picked it right back up, waiting for instructions.

Mac walked over to Ella and whispered. "Show them what you can do, use petrificus totalus on her, but back it off a bit on the strength. I'm not to keen on her going into any walls. Whenever you are ready" Mac whispered before stepping away and taking a seat on his desk. "Ella, whenever you are ready"
