Welcome to Hogwarts Interactive Role Play, one of the net's best in Harry Potter and Hogwarts role plays. We hope you enjoy your visit. Here at Hogwarts our students are currently in their Seventh Year. Last year, the war against the Knights crescendoed into a direct attack against the school. Disappearances are still reported (or not) daily, and the Dark Lord and his Knights of Walpurgis have succeeded in spreading their message of "do as thou will" far and wide across the globe. Magical Law Enforcement, which is now the only authority in the wizarding world under Martial Law, has responded by tightening security, controlling the media, and strictly enforcing curfews and other laws. Their control is damaging to the people's freedom, and their hierarchy is a suspicious lot. It is clear that some members of the MLE like their new found power a bit too much, others see it necessary, but all are in serious danger of being consumed by it. But with the picture of just what Azariah Amaranth is after becoming ever clearer, and a third player in the form of a group called SAVIOR entering the scene, what will the MLE do next to ensure that they've got the situation under control? The Elementium, the Higher Plane that had once been hidden just beyond the veil in the Department of Mysteries, and the Deathly Hallows. The pieces of the puzzle have been identified, but what picture do they make? Today is Day 1 of Year Seven. Students have had time to recover from the Knight's attack, and are beginning to reluctantly return to the walls of Hogwarts. The safety of the school has been diminished, bringing up the question everyone must ask. Are you safe anywhere these days? It was open, so she shut it and pointed her wand at it. "Colloportus!" she said, watching a little beam of light shoot from her wand. She heard a click and checked the door to make sure it was locked. It was. She smiled, then pointed her wand again and murmured, "Alohamora!" she heard another click, and the door was unlocked. "Lovely..." she whispered to herself.

"I'm rewarding people who complete their work house points, so if any one wanted house points they just need to follow the instructions on the board" Mac said in a friendly, rather then critical, tone. "It's almost time to wrap up the class and I know you've had fun but you have other classes to attend. So final attempts and those of you whom want a break can wander off to your next classes. Though you are more then welcome to stay behind and talk to me or simply wait for your class mates to finish before going to your next class. Mac said pulling out a seat in the desk nearest to Nat's and smiling at the class.

I stayed behind in Transfiguration and got caught up. I'm really sorry." She urgently began copying the notes down at the very least. If class ended she could at least practice the charm later. She notes that many of her friends were here so they could help her out if she got stuck.

She took aim with her wand and copied the wrist movement she was seeing many of her classmates do and muttered, "Colloportus." Riley heard a squelching sound issue from the door and knocked on the door. It seemed locked but she didn't know how strongly. "Sir, can you test this spell for me?"

With all her will she spoke again, "Colloportus." She looked up at the Professor expectantly.

After several attempts she once more took aim at the door, sliced the air and spoke, "Colloportus!" with every ounce of strength she could muster.

His face broke into a great big smile and it was at that moment he realised why he wanted so much to become a teacher. How could he even think of quitting when this was the reward you got. This was a better reward then any other job could offer. Watching the students learn and perform magic and successfully was one of the many joys of teaching.
